own_o condition_n whether_o i_o be_v able_a to_o give_v a_o reason_n why_o i_o tarry_v the_o lord_n have_v remove_v all_o my_o scruple_n and_o answer_v all_o my_o objection_n and_o speak_v of_o it_o to_o my_o husband_n who_o be_v then_o much_o in_o the_o same_o condition_n i_o remember_v we_o have_v some_o discourse_n about_o it_o and_o the_o result_n be_v that_o the_o next_o first_o day_n we_o will_v go_v to_o the_o church_n where_o we_o have_v often_o hear_v and_o declare_v what_o god_n have_v do_v for_o we_o in_o the_o great_a work_n of_o conversion_n desire_v also_o to_o obey_v he_o in_o all_o his_o command_n which_o according_o we_o do_v and_o give_v they_o full_a satisfaction_n and_o the_o week_n follow_v be_v baptize_v and_o add_v to_o the_o church_n be_v sweet_o satisfy_v and_o since_o but_o god_n be_v please_v and_o still_o be_v to_o satisfy_v i_o with_o the_o fatness_n of_o his_o house_n feed_v i_o with_o green_a pasture_n there_o and_o sit_v under_o the_o shadow_n of_o christ_n his_o fruit_n be_v sweet_a to_o my_o taste_n which_o the_o lord_n grant_v i_o may_v be_v find_v so_o do_v as_o he_o have_v command_v until_o his_o second_o come_v some_o brief_a observation_n upon_o this_o four_o note_n of_o experience_n first_o concern_v those_o thought_n that_o though_o i_o have_v nothing_o to_o do_v to_o be_v save_v yet_o i_o have_v much_o to_o do_v to_o glorify_v god_n etc._n etc._n from_o thence_o i_o observe_v that_o as_o it_o be_v the_o duty_n of_o all_o that_o have_v receive_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n to_o be_v active_a for_o his_o glory_n so_o it_o be_v the_o nature_n of_o grace_n to_o teach_v and_o engage_v saint_n to_o do_v the_o same_o second_o concern_v my_o ignorance_n of_o baptism_n and_o other_o ordinance_n notwithstanding_o all_o my_o former_a experience_n in_o point_n of_o faith_n from_o thence_o i_o observe_v that_o person_n may_v have_v much_o experience_n in_o point_n of_o privilege_n and_o yet_o be_v ignorant_a of_o their_o duty_n as_o indeed_o we_o be_v more_o apt_a to_o learn_v the_o one_o than_o the_o other_o three_o concern_v my_o ignorance_n of_o that_o which_o be_v so_o plain_o express_v in_o scripture_n from_o thence_o i_o observe_v that_o light_n discover_v darkness_n and_o though_o truth_n be_v never_o so_o plain_o express_v yet_o ignorance_n can_v apprehend_v it_o four_o concern_v those_o interruption_n and_o prejudice_n of_o faith_n and_o such_o i_o conclude_v be_v all_o hear_n out_o of_o the_o way_n of_o god_n though_o some_o more_o some_o less_o i_o mean_v public_a hear_n out_o of_o the_o church_n of_o god_n and_o though_o some_o do_v judge_v it_o their_o liberty_n and_o privilege_n so_o to_o do_v i_o must_v needs_o confess_v i_o can_v so_o judge_v for_o though_o possible_o glorious_a thing_n may_v be_v speak_v yet_o what_o privilege_n can_v it_o be_v for_o saint_n to_o hear_v glorious_a thing_n where_o there_o be_v no_o promise_n of_o a_o blessing_n from_o god_n and_o therefore_o i_o may_v say_v as_o the_o apostle_n of_o speak_v in_o a_o unknown_a tongue_n i_o have_v wrather_o hear_v five_o word_n from_o a_o true_a ministry_n or_o in_o a_o church_n of_o christ_n where_o he_o have_v promise_v his_o blessing_n and_o presence_n than_o five_o thousand_o elsewhere_o though_o i_o desire_v in_o a_o personal_a way_n to_o own_o and_o embrace_v all_o or_o any_o appearance_n of_o god_n where_o ever_o i_o find_v it_o and_o can_v upon_o that_o account_n true_o say_v i_o do_v much_o respect_n love_n and_o delight_n in_o some_o who_o be_v not_o yet_o come_v up_o to_o the_o true_a worship_n of_o christ_n in_o his_o church_n but_o i_o must_v be_v true_a to_o my_o principle_n i_o can_v see_v how_o we_o that_o be_v according_a to_o the_o gosspel_n join_v to_o the_o lord_n and_o his_o church_n by_o which_o we_o hold_v out_o to_o the_o world_n a_o visible_a profession_n of_o his_o name_n and_o a_o separation_n from_o all_o false_a way_n of_o worship_n which_o in_o our_o principle_n we_o judge_v they_o who_o be_v not_o right_o constitute_v with_o we_o according_a to_o the_o appointment_n and_o practice_n of_o christ_n and_o his_o apostle_n to_o be_v no_o other_o i_o say_v i_o can_v see_v how_o we_o can_v meet_v with_o they_o in_o their_o public_a worship_n to_o hear_v their_o minister_n or_o in_o any_o other_o spiritual_a duty_n but_o it_o be_v a_o cross_v our_o own_o principle_n as_o thus_o they_o own_v themselves_o true_a church_n and_o minister_n of_o christ_n the_o ignorant_a world_n know_v not_o but_o they_o be_v so_o we_o by_o our_o presence_n be_v silent_a do_v say_v
a_o instrument_n for_o the_o good_a of_o soul_n or_o to_o propagate_v the_o least_o truth_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n yet_o i_o shall_v be_v willing_a to_o submit_v to_o better_a judgement_n hope_v through_o the_o blessing_n of_o god_n it_o may_v be_v useful_a know_v from_o my_o own_o experience_n i_o have_v receive_v much_o from_o the_o lord_n by_o read_v but_o beside_o the_o sense_n of_o my_o the_o publish_n of_o it_o as_o first_o i_o think_v i_o may_v seem_v to_o some_o to_o walk_v in_o a_o untrodden_a path_n i_o have_v never_o see_v any_o thing_n write_v before_o in_o this_o manner_n and_o method_n but_o whatever_o entertainment_n it_o may_v find_v with_o such_o know_v from_o who_o i_o have_v receive_v it_o i_o be_o well_o satisfy_v my_o footstep_n will_v be_v find_v as_o for_o matter_n so_o for_o method_n and_o manner_n among_o the_o footstep_n of_o the_o flock_n of_o christ_n where_o i_o desire_v to_o feed_v beside_o the_o shepherd_n tent_n cant._n 1._o 8_o another_o thought_n which_o do_v discourage_v i_o be_v know_v i_o must_v expect_v to_o encounter_v with_o satan_n in_o relation_n to_o it_o several_a way_n but_o believe_v that_o which_o way_n soever_o he_o appear_v whether_o to_o abase_v or_o exalt_v i_o in_o my_o own_o thought_n the_o lord_n will_v not_o be_v want_v with_o strength_n to_o withstand_v and_o resist_v he_o and_o that_o i_o shall_v with_o advantage_n be_v deliver_v from_o his_o snare_n and_o temptation_n thus_o resolve_v to_o commit_v myself_o and_o it_o to_o the_o blessing_n of_o the_o almighty_a desire_v it_o may_v be_v accept_v of_o the_o saint_n as_o the_o widow_n mite_n and_o that_o what_o be_v weak_a may_v be_v cover_v with_o love_n be_v the_o desire_n of_o i_o the_o unworthy_a servant_n of_o christ_n jane_n turner_n the_o all_o that_o time_n i_o have_v one_o considerable_a interruption_n which_o condition_n be_v so_o sweet_a and_o joious_a to_o i_o that_o it_o do_v exceed_o grieve_v i_o to_o think_v that_o ever_o i_o shall_v forget_v the_o particular_n thereof_o find_v from_o sad_a experience_n that_o though_o i_o can_v never_o forget_v the_o substance_n of_o such_o thing_n yet_o i_o be_o prone_a to_o forget_v the_o particular_n the_o remembrance_n of_o which_o i_o find_v to_o be_v much_o for_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o my_o own_o comfort_n and_o profit_n especial_o in_o time_n of_o trial_n and_o temptation_n upon_o the_o consideration_n of_o which_o i_o think_v it_o may_v be_v a_o good_a way_n to_o write_v they_o down_o and_o call_v to_o mind_n some_o of_o the_o old_a love_a kindness_n of_o god_n towards_o i_o i_o resolve_v to_o write_v down_o some_o of_o they_o for_o i_o do_v believe_v i_o can_v remember_v the_o hundred_o part_n of_o the_o kind_a deal_n of_o god_n towards_o i_o so_o but_o as_o i_o have_v many_o thought_n of_o encouragement_n to_o do_v it_o so_o i_o have_v some_o thought_n that_o do_v discourage_v i_o as_o first_o i_o think_v it_o will_v be_v very_o hard_a if_o not_o impossible_a for_o i_o to_o remember_v that_o which_o have_v be_v so_o long_o since_o so_o as_o to_o write_v it_o but_o the_o lord_n be_v please_v to_o satisfy_v i_o in_o this_o that_o my_o end_n be_v such_o as_o be_v agreeable_a to_o his_o will_n he_o will_v according_a to_o his_o promise_n in_o my_o endeavour_n bring_v thing_n to_o my_o remembrance_n and_o true_o i_o be_v confirm_v in_o believe_v he_o will_v so_o do_v from_o my_o own_o experience_n for_o i_o do_v not_o remember_v that_o ever_o i_o set_v myself_o serious_o to_o meditate_v on_o the_o former_a kindness_n of_o god_n towards_o i_o but_o i_o be_v much_o refresh_v by_o it_o and_o remember_v that_o which_o i_o seem_v to_o have_v forget_v a_o second_o think_v which_o do_v discourage_v i_o be_v fear_v leave_v through_o forgetfulness_n as_o i_o know_v i_o shall_v leave_v out_o something_o which_o be_v so_o i_o may_v possible_o write_v something_o which_o be_v not_o which_o i_o will_v not_o by_o any_o mean_n willing_o do_v this_o i_o discern_v to_o be_v a_o temptation_n for_o fear_n of_o hypocrisy_n but_o god_n be_v please_v to_o satisfy_v i_o in_o it_o with_o this_o resolution_n that_o what_o i_o do_v i_o will_v do_v as_o in_o his_o presence_n and_o that_o if_o there_o be_v any_o thing_n which_o be_v clear_a to_o my_o remembrance_n that_o i_o can_v not_o bring_v in_o without_o something_o which_o be_v doubtful_a i_o will_v rather_o leave_v out_o the_o one_o than_o write_v the_o other_o much_o less_o write_v any_o thing_n which_o be_v a_o plain_a addition_n and_o in_o this_o resolution_n i_o set_v upon_o it_o believe_v that_o god_n will_v assist_v and_o help_v i_o desire_v not_o to_o give_v way_n to_o discourage_a thought_n for_o i_o have_v often_o experience_v this_o that_o if_o in_o writing_n speaking_z or_o do_v of_o any_o thing_n whereby_o god_n may_v be_v glorify_v we_o shall_v give_v way_n to_o temptation_n and_o discouragement_n we_o shall_v do_v nothing_o at_o all_o for_o satan_n and_o our_o own_o heart_n will_v not_o be_v want_v to_o we_o that_o way_n but_o with_o grief_n of_o heart_n i_o must_v confess_v that_o the_o great_a discouragement_n that_o i_o have_v meet_v with_o have_v be_v from_o the_o saint_n themselves_o i_o do_v not_o mean_v only_o as_o to_o this_o particular_a but_o as_o to_o other_o spiritual_a duty_n also_o by_o which_o i_o trust_v i_o have_v learn_v perfection_n immediate_a communion_n with_o the_o father_n &_o such_o like_a but_o as_o a_o raven_a wolf_n so_o far_o as_o they_o prevail_v they_o devour_v and_o destroy_v by_o degree_n all_o appearance_n of_o good_a and_o therefore_o the_o apostle_n call_v they_o perverse_a thing_n act_n 20._o 30._o and_o 2_o pet._n 2._o 1._o they_o be_v call_v damnable_a heresy_n and_o pernicious_a way_n false_a brethren_n in_o the_o church_n and_o other_o such_o like_a who_o profess_v a_o opposition_n to_o those_o false_a prophet_n and_o the_o place_n and_o people_n among_o who_o they_o be_v most_o prevail_a be_v not_o with_o ignorant_a person_n in_o the_o world_n but_o among_o know_v person_n and_o in_o the_o church_n of_o christ_n all_o which_o be_v the_o very_a same_o express_v in_o the_o forementioned_a scripture_n as_o act_n 29._o with_o the_o rest_n a_o second_o mark_n by_o which_o we_o may_v know_v they_o to_o be_v the_o same_o be_v in_o relation_n to_o the_o nature_n and_o effect_n of_o they_o as_o be_v already_o express_v namely_o that_o person_n have_v be_v lead_v by_o they_o to_o the_o high_a degree_n of_o wickedness_n wax_v worse_o and_o worse_o till_o they_o have_v
