look_v how_o much_o grace_n a_o man_n have_v so_o much_o knowledge_n he_o must_v have_v of_o necessity_n though_o there_o may_v be_v much_o wood_n that_o be_v not_o kindle_v yet_o look_v how_o much_o fire_n there_o be_v so_o much_o fuel_n there_o must_v needs_o be_v knowledge_n be_v the_o oil_n wherein_o the_o flame_n of_o ●he_n spirit_n live_v and_o you_o can_v have_v more_o g●ace_n than_o you_o have_v knowledge_n though_o you_o ●ay_v have_v abundance_n of_o empty_a and_o unprofitable_a knowledge_n without_o grace_n therefore_o if_o 〈◊〉_d will_v have_v the_o fruit_n of_o this_o covenant_n knowledge_n we_o be_v transform_v and_o change_v into_o the_o same_o image_n from_o glory_n to_o glory_n that_o be_v from_o one_o glorious_a degree_n of_o that_o image_n to_o another_o not_o that_o the_o very_a knowledge_n shall_v do_v it_o but_o it_o please_v the_o lord_n to_o accompany_v that_o knowledge_n by_o the_o spirit_n this_o be_v do_v say_v he_o as_o by_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o 17._o it_o be_v a_o part_n of_o christ_n prayer_n vers_fw-la 17._o sancti●ie_v they_o with_o thy_o truth_n thy_o word_n be_v truth_n the_o meaning_n be_v this_o as_o if_o he_o shall_v have_v say_v labour_v to_o understand_v it_o more_o and_o more_o for_o belove_a this_o be_v a_o very_a sure_a rule_n there_o be_v not_o a_o new_a notion_n that_o a_o man_n get_v there_o be_v not_o a_o beam_n of_o truth_n of_o new_a truth_n there_o be_v not_o a_o further_a enlargement_n of_o knowledge_n and_o illumination_n but_o it_o bring_v some_o riches_n of_o grace_n with_o it_o it_o come_v not_o empty_a but_o it_o come_v load_v with_o something_o it_o have_v some_o power_n and_o strength_n and_o it_o give_v a_o new_a vigour_n to_o the_o inward_a man_n and_o therefore_o if_o thou_o will_v abound_v in_o grace_n study_v the_o scripture_n much_o attend_v to_o they_o much_o meditate_v in_o they_o day_n and_o night_n labour_v still_o to_o get_v some_o new_a spark_n of_o knowledge_n some_o new_a light_n out_o of_o they_o and_o thou_o shall_v find_v this_o that_o grace_n will_v follow_v as_o it_o be_v the_o apostle_n exhortation_n to_o timothy_n say_v he_o give_v attendance_n to_o read_v and_o to_o learning_n so_o thou_o shall_v save_v thyself_o and_o shall_v be_v able_a also_o to_o save_v other_o the_o meaning_n be_v the_o way_n to_o get_v that_o grace_n that_o will_v save_v a_o man_n be_v to_o give_v much_o attendance_n to_o read_v and_o to_o learning_n for_o belove_a whatsoever_o it_o be_v that_o beget_v a_o man_n the_o increase_n of_o that_o likewise_o edify_v and_o build_v he_o up_o
