hope_n to_o be_v sustain_v of_o desire_n to_o be_v support_v of_o love_n to_o be_v cheer_v nay_o there_o be_v a_o full_a satisfactory_a sufficiency_n of_o all_o good_a in_o christ_n that_o so_o the_o will_n of_o man_n may_v take_v full_a repose_n and_o rest_n in_o he_o therefore_o the_o lord_n say_v come_v unto_o i_o all_o that_o be_v weary_a and_o heavy_a lade_v come_v 28._o mind_n and_o hope_n and_o desire_n and_o love_n and_o will_n and_o heart_n they_o all_o answer_n we_o come_v the_o mind_n say_v let_v i_o know_v this_o mercy_n above_o all_o and_o desire_v to_o know_v nothing_o but_o expect_v the_o soul_n never_o embrace_v if_o the_o soul_n than_o seem_v to_o hang_v afar_o off_o and_o dare_v not_o believe_v that_o christ_n will_v have_v mercy_n on_o he_o in_o this_o case_n the_o spirit_n let_v in_o a_o light_n into_o his_o heart_n and_o discover_v unto_o he_o that_o god_n will_v deal_v gracious_o with_o he_o it_o be_v with_o a_o sinner_n as_o with_o a_o man_n that_o sit_v in_o darkness_n haply_o he_o see_v a_o light_n in_o the_o street_n out_o of_o a_o window_n but_o he_o sit_v still_o in_o darkness_n and_o be_v in_o the_o dungeon_n all_o the_o while_n and_o he_o think_v how_o good_a be_v it_o if_o a_o man_n may_v enjoy_v that_o light_n so_o many_o a_o poor_a humble-hearted_a break_a sinner_n see_v and_o have_v a_o inkling_n of_o god_n mercy_n he_o hear_v the_o saint_n speak_v of_o god_n love_n and_o his_o goodness_n and_o compassion_n ah_o think_v he_o how_o happy_a be_v they_o bless_a be_v they_o what_o a_o excellent_a condition_n be_v they_o in_o but_o i_o be_o in_o darkness_n still_o and_o never_o have_v a_o drop_n of_o mercy_n vouchsafe_v unto_o i_o at_o last_o the_o lord_n set_v a_o light_n in_o his_o house_n and_o put_v the_o candle_n into_o his_o own_o hand_n and_o make_v he_o see_v by_o particular_a evidence_n thou_o shall_v be_v pardon_v and_o thou_o shall_v be_v save_v the_o manner_n how_o the_o spirit_n work_v this_o be_v discover_v in_o three_o passage_n first_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o lord_n meeting_n with_o a_o humble_a break_a lowly_a self-denying_a sinner_n he_o that_o be_v a_o proud_a stouthearted_a wretch_n know_v nothing_o of_o this_o matter_n it_o open_v the_o eye_n and_o now_o the_o humble_a sinner_n begin_v to_o see_v like_o the_o man_n in_o the_o gospel_n some_o light_n and_o glimmer_a about_o his_o man_n and_o he_o have_v no_o part_n therein_o take_v a_o beggar_n that_o have_v a_o thousand_o pound_n tell_v before_o he_o he_o may_v apprehend_v the_o sum_n of_o so_o much_o gold_n and_o so_o much_o silver_n but_o what_o be_v all_o that_o to_o i_o say_v he_o if_o in_o the_o
the_o tide_n the_o other_o put_v his_o boat_n upon_o the_o stream_n and_o set_v up_o his_o sail_n and_o then_o he_o may_v sit_v still_o in_o his_o boat_n and_o the_o wind_n will_v carry_v he_o whither_o he_o be_v to_o go_v just_o thus_o it_o be_v with_o a_o faithful_a soul_n and_o a_o unbeliever_n all_o the_o care_n of_o the_o faithful_a soul_n be_v to_o put_v himself_o upon_o the_o stream_n of_o god_n providence_n and_o to_o set_v up_o the_o sail_n of_o faith_n and_o to_o take_v the_o gale_n of_o god_n mercy_n and_o providence_n and_o so_o he_o go_v on_o cheerful_o because_o it_o be_v not_o he_o that_o carry_v he_o but_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n whereas_o every_o unfaithful_a soul_n tug_v and_o pull_v at_o the_o business_n and_o can_v find_v neither_o ease_n nor_o success_n alas_o he_o think_v by_o his_o own_o wit_n and_o power_n to_o do_v what_o he_o will_v 2._o because_o faith_n sweeten_v all_o other_o affliction_n even_o those_o that_o be_v most_o hard_a and_o full_a of_o tediousness_n and_o howsoever_o it_o apprehend_v all_o trouble_n and_o affliction_n yet_o withal_o it_o apprehend_v the_o faithfulness_n of_o god_n order_v all_o for_o our_o good_a and_o that_o be_v the_o reason_n why_o all_o our_o trouble_n be_v digest_v comfortable_o without_o any_o harshness_n at_o all_o when_o the_o patient_n take_v better_a pill_n if_o they_o be_v well_o sugar_a they_o go_v down_o the_o easy_a and_o the_o bitterness_n never_o trouble_v he_o so_o it_o be_v with_o faith_n it_o take_v away_o the_o harshness_n of_o all_o inconvenience_n which_o be_v can_v find_v it_o so_o when_o misery_n come_v and_o thy_o heart_n be_v surcharge_v o_o then_o some_o promise_n some_o comfort_n to_o bear_v up_o a_o poor_a faint_a droop_a soul_n my_o trouble_n be_v many_o and_o i_o can_v bear_v they_o why_o now_o christ_n and_o a_o promise_n will_v have_v do_v it_o but_o thou_o have_v throw_v they_o in_o a_o corner_n and_o they_o be_v not_o to_o be_v find_v now_o for_o the_o lord_n sake_n let_v i_o entreat_v thou_o be_v wise_a for_o thy_o poor_a soul_n there_o be_v many_o a_o faint_a and_o aguish_a fit_a and_o qualm_n come_v over_o the_o heart_n of_o we_o minister_n when_o we_o preach_v of_o consolation_n and_o when_o we_o pray_v and_o confer_v we_o think_v we_o be_v beyond_o all_o trouble_n but_o by_o and_o by_o we_o be_v full_a of_o fear_n and_o trouble_n and_o sorrow_n because_o we_o take_v not_o full_a contentment_n in_o the_o promise_n we_o drink_v not_o a_o deep_a draught_n of_o it_o of_o this_o take_v heed_n too_o 1._o of_o cavil_v and_o quarrel_v with_o carnal_a reason_n 2._o of_o attend_v to_o the_o parley_n of_o satan_n temptation_n if_o we_o listen_v to_o this_o chat_n he_o will_v make_v we_o forget_v all_o our_o comfort_n chap._n vii_o the_o grow_n of_o the_o soul_n with_o christ_n hitherto_o of_o the_o first_o part_n of_o the_o soul_n implantation_n to_o wit_n of_o the_o put_n of_o the_o soul_n into_o christ_n we_o be_v now_o come_v to_o the_o second_o which_o be_v the_o grow_n of_o the_o soul_n with_o christ_n these_o two_o take_v up_o the_o nature_n of_o engraft_v a_o sinner_n into_o the_o stock_n christ_n jesus_n now_o
