nor_o understanding_n so_o that_o this_o fear_n have_v some_o good_a in_o it_o in_o as_o much_o as_o it_o proceed_v from_o a_o choiceness_n of_o spirit_n but_o second_o take_v heed_n you_o do_v not_o rosh_o nor_o groundless_o condemn_v yourself_o peradventure_o there_o be_v more_o of_o your_o spirit_n in_o prayer_n than_o you_o see_v or_o say_v what_o dare_v you_o deny_v that_o at_o such_o and_o such_o a_o time_n your_o spirit_n be_v in_o your_o prayer_n if_o it_o be_v not_o then_o what_o mean_v those_o sigh_n and_o tear_n and_o groan_n what_o mean_v that_o bear_n of_o the_o bosom_n and_o those_o lifting_n up_o and_o wring_v of_o the_o bond_n if_o your_o spirit_n be_v not_o in_o your_o prayer_n sure_o as_o in_o point_n of_o smn_v albeit_o wicked_a man_n shall_v say_v their_o heart_n be_v not_o in_o it_o yet_o their_o joy_n and_o merriment_n in_o it_o will_v witness_v against_o they_o so_o in_o the_o manner_n of_o pray_v though_o saint_n doubt_v their_o heart_n be_v not_o in_o it_o yet_o their_o sigh_n and_o groan_n in_o the_o spirit_n though_o unutterable_a in_o themselves_o yet_o they_o can_v witness_v for_o they_o in_o this_o however_o three_o can_v and_o dare_v you_o appeal_v to_o god_n that_o so_o far_o as_o you_o know_v your_o heart_n it_o be_v at_o such_o and_o such_o a_o time_n in_o prayer_n can_v you_o say_v lord_z thou_o know_v that_o i_o desire_v such_o a_o grace_n etc._n etc._n and_o oh_o how_o glad_a be_v i_o in_o the_o bare_a thought_n and_o smalâ—_n hope_n that_o i_o have_v of_o obtain_v it_o but_o on_o the_o contrary_a how_o do_v the_o fear_n and_o sense_n of_o not_o obtain_v it_o grieve_v i_o sure_o if_o you_o can_v thus_o serious_o and_o consider_o appeal_v to_o god_n you_o may_v conclude_v that_o your_o heart_n and_o spirit_n be_v in_o prayer_n beside_o four_o consider_v thy_o soul_n may_v have_v be_v and_o may_v be_v in_o a_o prayer_n notwithstanding_o many_o dulness_n and_o wander_n i_o find_v by_o experience_n that_o the_o ground_n of_o this_o fear_n be_v that_o dulness_n and_o those_o wander_n of_o our_o spirit_n in_o prayer_n now_o clear_v it_o be_v that_o notwithstanding_o these_o yet_o our_o spirit_n may_v be_v real_o and_o so_o account_v by_o god_n in_o duty_n you_o know_v in_o that_o duty_n of_o watch_v with_o christ_n in_o his_o agony_n it_o be_v record_v the_o disciple_n sleep_v yet_o mark_v it_o christ_n see_v and_o say_v their_o spirit_n be_v in_o it_o the_o spirit_n say_v he_o be_v willing_a but_o the_o flesh_n be_v weak_a christ_n see_v their_o spirit_n and_o acknowledge_v its_o willingness_n notwithstanding_o their_o drowsiness_n and_o for_o wander_n you_o know_v it_o be_v possible_a for_o the_o eye_n to_o be_v fix_v upon_o a_o object_n and_o yet_o not_o to_o be_v so_o fix_v as_o to_o be_v altogether_o free_a from_o rolling_n the_o eye_n may_v be_v upon_o the_o sun_n and_o yet_o it_o may_v twinkle_n and_o certain_o if_o we_o shall_v say_v that_o the_o heart_n be_v not_o in_o prayer_n because_o of_o some_o wander_n we_o shall_v condemn_v the_o generation_n of_o the_o just_a for_o to_o be_v so_o intense_a upon_o god_n as_o to_o have_v no_o wander_a thought_n at_o all_o be_v not_o attain_v unto_o by_o many_o if_o by_o any_o at_o all_o so_o that_o now_o why_o shall_v thou_o say_v thy_o spirit_n be_v not_o in_o prayer_n because_o of_o some_o dulness_n and_o wander_n it_o be_v possible_a that_o these_o thing_n may_v be_v and_o yet_o god_n may_v see_v yea_o and_o acknowledge_v thy_o spirit_n to_o be_v in_o thy_o prayer_n object_n but_o alas_o say_v the_o soul_n cast_v down_o suppose_v my_o spirit_n be_v or_o be_v in_o prayer_n what_o be_v that_o i_o fear_v i_o never_o pray_v in_o christ_n spirit_n it_o be_v one_o thing_n to_o pray_v in_o our_o spirit_n another_o thing_n to_o pray_v in_o christ_n spirit_n now_o i_o fear_v i_o never_o pray_v in_o the_o strength_n of_o christ_n spirit_n however_o it_o may_v be_v in_o the_o strength_n and_o sincerity_n of_o my_o own_o for_o answer_v and_o satisfaction_n to_o this_o ans_fw-fr let_v i_o entreat_v you_o to_o consider_v these_o particular_n first_o this_o be_v a_o more_o choice_n fear_v then_o the_o former_a it_o be_v a_o choice_n thing_n to_o eye_n our_o own_o spirit_n it_o be_v a_o choice_a to_o eye_n christ_n spirit_n in_o prayer_n moral_a sincerity_n may_v a_o little_a put_v on_o the_o former_a but_o its_o divine_a sincerity_n which_o look_v after_o and_o unto_o this_o nadab_n and_o abihu_n can_v content_v themselves_o with_o strange_a fire_n but_o moses_n and_o aaron_n will_v not_o offer_v but_o with_o holy_a fire_n it_o be_v certain_o a_o evidence_n of_o a_o soul_n more_o than_o ordinary_o heighten_v not_o to_o be_v content_a to_o pray_v in_o the_o sincerity_n of_o our_o spirit_n but_o to_o labour_v for_o the_o strength_n of_o god_n spirit_n second_o it_o be_v possible_a to_o pray_v in_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o yet_o to_o doubt_v it_o i_o find_v some_o doubt_n they_o never_o pray_v in_o the_o spirit_n because_o they_o have_v be_v straighten_a and_o want_v those_o inlargement_n which_o other_o have_v etc._n etc._n now_o mind_n it_o it_o be_v possible_a to_o pray_v in_o and_o that_o by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o yet_o not_o to_o be_v enlarge_v the_o soul_n may_v be_v so_o full_a as_o that_o it_o may_v not_o be_v able_a to_o vent_v itself_o fullness_n of_o spirit_n do_v sometime_o cause_n straighten_n as_o now_o in_o david_n case_n it_o be_v say_v then_o go_v king_n david_n in_o and_o sit_v before_o the_o lord_n etc._n etc._n then._n i._n e._n when_o as_o nathan_n have_v be_v and_o tell_v he_o at_o large_a the_o rich_a and_o sweet_a intention_n of_o god_n towards_o he_o certain_o
now_o david_n spirit_n can_v not_o choose_v but_o be_v very_o full_a and_o yet_o mark_v what_o he_o say_v who_o be_o i_o o_o lord_n god_n and_o what_o be_v my_o house_n that_o thou_o have_v bring_v i_o hither-unto_a and_o this_o be_v yet_o a_o small_a thing_n in_o thy_o sight_n o_o lord_n god_n but_o thou_o have_v speak_v also_o of_o thy_o servant_n house_n for_o a_o great_a while_n to_o come_v and_o be_v this_o the_o manner_n of_o man_n o_o lord_n god_n but_o now_o mark_v it_o what_o follow_v upon_o this_o as_o it_o be_v entry_n upon_o the_o duty_n and_o what_o can_v david_n say_v more_o unto_o thou_o for_o thou_o o_o lord_n know_v thy_o servant_n see_v how_o he_o be_v straiten_v so_o that_o he_o can_v say_v more_o but_o he_o be_v fain_o to_o say_v as_o sometime_o it_o may_v be_v you_o have_v do_v lord_n thou_o know_v thy_o servant_n so_o that_o you_o see_v there_o may_v be_v the_o spirit_n where_o and_o while_o the_o soul_n be_v straighten_a and_o certain_o as_o hypocrite_n may_v have_v inlargement_n and_o yet_o not_o the_o holy_a ghost_n so_o saint_n may_v have_v the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o yet_o want_v inlargement_n three_o consider_v how_o much_o of_o god_n as_o a_o father_n do_v thou_o see_v in_o prayer_n it_o be_v the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n to_o help_v the_o soul_n to_o see_v god_n as_o a_o father_n and_o to_o cry_v abba_n and_o to_o fill_v the_o soul_n with_o not_o word_n and_o expression_n but_o with_o sigh_n and_o groan_v unutterable_a so_o that_o then_o to_o satisfy_v thyself_o o_o deject_a soul_n in_o this_o fear_n consider_v thy_o very_a fear_n be_v choice_n and_o it_o may_v not_o be_v as_o thou_o fear_v but_o shall_v i_o suppose_v it_o suppose_v it_o shall_v be_v so_o that_o as_o yet_o thou_o do_v never_o pray_v suppose_v i_o admit_v it_o so_o he_o may_v take_v his_o own_o time_n to_o send_v a_o answer_n suppose_v thou_o send_v a_o letter_n to_o a_o friend_n by_o a_o sure_a messenger_n what_o though_o you_o have_v not_o a_o answer_n present_o will_v you_o say_v your_o letter_n be_v lose_v or_o that_o your_o friend_n do_v not_o receive_v it_o why_o the_o case_n be_v so_o your_o prayer_n be_v your_o letter_n to_o god_n and_o christ_n be_v a_o sure_a messenger_n though_o as_o yet_o god_n have_v not_o send_v his_o answer_n yet_o your_o letter_n be_v read_v your_o prayer_n be_v accept_v and_o in_o time_n viz._n god_n time_n they_o shall_v be_v punctual_o answer_v god_n will_v answer_v your_o prayer_n that_o cry_v unto_o he_o night_n and_o day_n though_o he_o hear_v long_o as_o it_o be_v luk_n 18.7_o but_o second_o it_o be_v possible_a the_o answer_n may_v be_v send_v and_o you_o have_v not_o observe_v it_o there_o be_v letter_n at_o the_o posthouse_n sometime_o for_o we_o which_o only_o want_v fetch_v home_o the_o whether_o it_o be_v of_o the_o spirit_n yea_o or_o no_o as_o be_v open_v in_o the_o former_a part_n etc._n etc._n now_o for_o the_o remove_n of_o this_o fear_n satisfaction_n satisfaction_n and_o to_o raise_v up_o a_o soul_n that_o be_v cast_v down_o and_o lie_v doubt_v whether_o its_o call_n conviction_n and_o comfort_n be_v from_o the_o spirit_n yea_o or_o no_o i_o shall_v speak_v to_o each_o of_o these_o by_o themselves_o first_o for_o thy_o call_n o_o soul_n thou_o say_v thou_o fear_v thou_o be_v only_o call_v by_o man_n i.e._n wrought_v upon_o to_o leave_v thy_o sin_n and_o former_a course_n by_o the_o mere_a wit_n and_o oratory_n of_o man_n in_o persuade_v etc._n etc._n there_o be_v three_o thing_n which_o i_o will_v offer_v to_o scatter_v thy_o fear_n in_o this_o particular_a 1_o consider_v that_o thy_o call_n may_v be_v by_o the_o spirit_n though_o thou_o do_v think_v it_o be_v by_o man_n only_o it_o be_v certain_a that_o the_o spirit_n speak_v to_o our_o heart_n most_o by_o man_n immediate_n call_v be_v rare_a it_o may_v be_v you_o fear_v your_o call_n be_v not_o by_o the_o spirit_n because_o it_o be_v by_o man_n it_o may_v be_v man_n speech_n and_o the_o spirit_n call_v it_o be_v christ_n that_o preach_v to_o the_o ephesian_n though_o it_o be_v paul_n that_o speak_v paul_n tell_v they_o christ_n come_v and_o preach_v peace_n to_o they_o ephes_n 2.17_o and_o yet_o we_o know_v christ_n be_v never_o at_o ephesus_n and_o paul_n speak_v this_o of_o christ_n after_o the_o time_n of_o his_o suffering_n as_o be_v deducible_a from_o vers_n 16._o indeed_o it_o be_v christ_n that_o preach_v by_o paul_n and_o though_o man_n be_v the_o trumpet_n yet_o the_o spirit_n be_v the_o breath_n that_o fill_v it_o when_o thou_o be_v call_v from_o thy_o sin_n look_v as_o in_o samuel_n case_n it_o be_v the_o lord_n call_v he_o and_o he_o think_v it_o be_v eli_n as_o it_o be_v 1_o sam._n 3._o so_o it_o may_v be_v with_o you_o and_o the_o reason_n may_v be_v as_o it_o be_v in_o samuel_n case_n he_o be_v a_o child_n and_o so_o do_v not_o know_v yet_o as_o the_o text_n say_v the_o lord_n it_o may_v be_v thou_o be_v a_o child_n as_o yet_o o_o soul_n and_o be_v not_o so_o well_o able_a to_o distinguish_v of_o the_o lord_n from_o man_n thou_o as_o yet_o may_v not_o be_v acquaint_v with_o the_o mystery_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o therefore_o thou_o may_v think_v it_o be_v only_a man_n when_o it_o be_v the_o spirit_n which_o call_v thou_o hereafter_o when_o thou_o shall_v grow_v up_o to_o a_o full_a age_n in_o christ_n this_o childish_a thing_n and_o fear_n may_v be_v do_v away_o and_o thou_o shall_v no_o more_o speak_v as_o a_o child_n and_o say_v thou_o fear_v it_o be_v man_n only_o that_o call_v thou_o but_o thou_o shall_v be_v teach_v of_o god_n and_o know_v thou_o be_v call_v by_o the_o spirit_n 2_o call_v to_o mind_n in_o what_o frame_n of_o soul_n thou_o be_v if_o thou_o can_v call_v it_o to_o mind_n when_o thy_o first_o call_n be_v and_o thou_o be_v so_o take_v up_o with_o the_o world_n and_o vanity_n etc._n etc._n that_o god_n be_v not_o in_o all_o thy_o thought_n and_o that_o at_o a_o time_n thou_o do_v either_o read_v or_o hear_v such_o or_o such_o a_o naked_a truth_n as_o to_o instance_n that_o thou_o be_v a_o child_n of_o wrath_n by_o nature_n that_o out_o of_o christ_n there_o be_v no_o hope_n of_o salvation_n etc._n etc._n and_o that_o hereupon_o unexpected_o thou_o do_v find_v thy_o heart_n move_v to_o take_v another_o course_n peradventure_o thou_o have_v read_v or_o hear_v and_o do_v know_v the_o same_o truth_n before_o o_o but_o at_o such_o or_o such_o a_o time_n thou_o do_v find_v thy_o heart_n more_o wrought_v upon_o by_o it_o than_o ever_o i_o beseech_v you_o serious_o say_v have_v it_o not_o be_v thus_o with_o you_o if_o it_o have_v why_o doubt_v you_o that_o your_o call_n be_v not_o by_o the_o spirit_n but_o 3_o call_v to_o mind_n and_o in_o sincerity_n tell_v and_o confess_v what_o it_o be_v that_o thou_o be_v iall_v from_o and_o what_o it_o be_v that_o thou_o be_v call_v to_o can_v not_o thou_o say_v thy_o call_n be_v not_o so_o much_o at_o least_o not_o only_o from_o misery_n but_o it_o be_v from_o sin_n it_o be_v true_a many_o a_o man_n by_o natural_a conscience_n and_o fleshly_a principle_n be_v thus_o far_o wrought_v upon_o in_o a_o call_n that_o it_o be_v willing_a to_o come_v out_o you_o appeal_v to_o god_n that_o in_o your_o call_n you_o do_v at_o lest_o that_o now_o you_o do_v find_v your_o heart_n not_o only_o call_v and_o make_v willing_a to_o leave_v a_o sorrowful_a estate_n and_o come_v into_o a_o happy_a one_o but_o also_o to_o leave_v a_o sinful_a estate_n and_o come_v into_o a_o holy_a estate_n certain_o if_o your_o call_n be_v not_o only_o from_o misery_n but_o from_o sin_n and_o if_o it_o be_v to_o be_v as_o well_o and_o as_o much_o nay_o more_o unto_o holiness_n then_o unto_o freedom_n from_o misery_n i_o say_v if_o you_o can_v clear_v this_o and_o do_v not_o your_o conscience_n oh_o you_o deject_a soul_n witness_v to_o this_o then_o why_o do_v you_o doubt_v what_o reason_n have_v you_o to_o fear_v that_o your_o call_n be_v not_o of_o the_o spirit_n to_o come_v therefore_o to_o the_o other_o thing_n viz._n second_o to_o your_o conviction_n you_o say_v you_o doubt_v whether_o that_o be_v of_o the_o spirit_n and_o evangelical_a or_o only_o by_o the_o letter_n and_o legal_a now_o to_o satisfy_v you_o in_o this_o there_o be_v 3_o question_n which_o i_o will_v put_v unto_o you_o and_o in_o the_o sincerity_n of_o your_o heart_n resolve_v they_o 1_o what_o be_v the_o great_a sin_n of_o which_o you_o be_v and_o be_v convict_v when_o thy_o heart_n be_v convince_v of_o sin_n what_o be_v the_o great_a sin_n which_o then_o thou_o be_v convince_v of_o search_v your_o heart_n and_o consider_v what_o answer_n to_o give_v can_v you_o say_v it_o be_v unbelief_n certain_o if_o you_o be_v convince_v of_o that_o it_o be_v the_o spirit_n which_o wrought_v that_o conviction_n i_o desire_v not_o to_o be_v mistake_v i_o do_v not_o urge_v this_o as_o if_o i_o think_v there_o either_o be_v not_o or_o need_v not_o any_o more_o conviction_n than_o this_o for_o certain_o save_v conviction_n extend_v itself_o to_o all_o sin_n and_o in_o particular_a to_o our_o particular_a special_a sin_n but_o my_o aim_n be_v to_o hint_n something_o as_o a_o signal_n discovery_n of_o conviction_n by_o the_o spirit_n and_o in_o order_n to_o this_o it_o be_v which_o i_o be_o now_o speak_v now_o then_o be_v thou_o ever_o convince_v of_o unbelief_n have_v thou_o see_v this_o to_o be_v a_o sin_n yea_o and_o to_o be_v a_o great_a sin_n certain_o if_o thou_o have_v thy_o conviction_n have_v be_v of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n it_o be_v the_o peculiar_a work_n of_o the_o spirit_n to_o convince_v of_o unbelief_n as_o it_o be_v john_n 16.9.11_o many_o a_o soul_n be_v convince_v of_o these_o or_o these_o sin_n
suppose_v such_o a_o sad_a thing_n that_o all_o of_o thy_o relation_n be_v enemy_n to_o the_o way_n of_o christ_n and_o that_o they_o shall_v and_o do_v hate_v at_o lest_o slight_a and_o scorn_v all_o that_o be_v godly_a upon_o this_o ask_v thy_o heart_n what_o it_o will_v or_o do_v say_v to_o this_o be_v not_o the_o very_a supposition_n of_o this_o sad_a to_o thy_o soul_n and_o do_v not_o thy_o soul_n say_v oh_o that_o thou_o can_v weep_v tear_n of_o blood_n over_o the_o soul_n of_o thy_o relation_n do_v not_o thy_o heart_n say_v however_o they_o be_v or_o do_v yet_o thou_o and_o thy_o house_n will_v serve_v the_o lord_n do_v not_o the_o spirit_n upon_o thy_o appeal_n bear_v witness_n with_o thy_o spirit_n that_o let_v father_n mother_n husband_n wife_n master_n etc._n etc._n do_v what_o they_o will_v yet_o thou_o by_o the_o help_n of_o christ_n will_v pray_v for_o they_o and_o with_o full_a purpose_n of_o heart_n will_v cleave_v to_o he_o now_o if_o it_o be_v so_o why_o be_v thou_o cast_v down_o why_o be_v thou_o afraid_a that_o thou_o have_v no_o more_o than_o education_n sure_o a_o soul_n thus_o qualify_v as_o i_o have_v hint_v go_v far_o beyond_o education_n if_o thou_o have_v nothing_o but_o what_o thou_o have_v from_o thy_o relation_n in_o education_n thou_o can_v not_o act_v further_o or_o against_o they_o as_o be_v suppose_v in_o religion_n therefore_o three_o consider_v o_o soul_n that_o say_v thou_o fear_v thou_o have_v no_o more_o than_o education_n i_o say_v consider_v can_v not_o thou_o say_v that_o albeit_o education_n do_v first_o set_v thou_o in_o the_o way_n of_o godliness_n yet_o since_o that_o time_n thy_o soul_n have_v meet_v with_o that_o which_o will_v have_v do_v it_o if_o that_o have_v not_o and_o do_v exceed_o confirm_v thou_o in_o it_o education_n be_v or_o may_v be_v liken_v to_o that_o report_n which_o the_o samaritan_n woman_n make_v to_o her_o neighbour_n of_o christ_n 4._o joh._n 4._o it_o be_v true_a her_o report_n bring_v they_o to_o christ_n but_o christ_n word_n confirm_v they_o insomuch_o as_o that_o they_o tell_v she_o now_o we_o believe_v not_o because_o of_o thy_o say_n for_o we_o have_v hear_v he_o ourselves_o so_o can_v not_o thou_o say_v it_o be_v true_a all_o that_o at_o first_o thou_o have_v be_v but_o education_n that_o be_v that_o which_o thou_o have_v from_o parent_n friend_n etc._n etc._n but_o now_o thou_o have_v something_o more_o now_o thou_o can_v say_v thou_o love_v christ_n and_o his_o way_n not_o because_o thou_o be_v bring_v up_o in_o the_o knowledge_n of_o he_o and_o his_o way_n but_o because_o thou_o have_v since_o taste_v he_o to_o be_v sweet_a and_o find_v his_o way_n pleasant_a i_o doubt_v not_o but_o that_o many_o soul_n can_v say_v this_o and_o why_o then_o be_v they_o disquiet_v for_o fear_n they_o have_v no_o more_o than_o education_n to_o come_v up_o therefore_o one_o step_n further_o in_o order_n to_o the_o quiet_v of_o soul_n cast_v down_o and_o disquiet_v with_o this_o fear_n i_o shall_v offer_v some_o three_o inquiry_n unto_o they_o as_o now_o first_o in_o case_n you_o shall_v desist_v and_o leave_v off_o from_o the_o way_n of_o christ_n in_o which_o you_o have_v be_v educate_v inquire_v what_o will_v your_o condition_n be_v and_o how_o your_o heart_n will_v take_v it_o see_v will_v or_o can_v your_o heart_n be_v quiet_a shall_v you_o think_v you_o be_v in_o a_o comfortable_a condition_n nay_o do_v not_o the_o fear_n of_o apostasy_n trouble_v you_o do_v not_o you_o tremble_v to_o think_v lest_o you_o shall_v fall_v sure_o have_v you_o no_o more_o than_o education_n you_o will_v not_o be_v perplex_v with_o these_o thought_n it_o be_v all_o one_o to_o a_o jack_n wound_v up_o by_o a_o man_n hand_n whether_o it_o move_v or_o stand_v still_o and_o it_o be_v all_o one_o to_o one_o principled_a no_o high_o than_o education_n whether_o he_o pray_v or_o no_o hear_v or_o no_o &c._n &c._n if_o the_o hand_n of_o educatiour_n wind_v he_o not_o up_o he_o can_v be_v quiet_a and_o still_o but_o where_o life_n be_v there_o motion_n must_v be_v otherwise_o the_o creature_n groan_v and_o sure_o if_o upon_o a_o inquiry_n this_o way_n thou_o find_v cessation_n or_o apostasy_n will_v be_v as_o death_n to_o thou_o thou_o need_v not_o much_o fear_n but_o there_o be_v a_o life_n of_o regeneration_n and_o something_o high_a than_o education_n in_o thou_o second_o inquire_v what_o thy_o thought_n be_v upon_o do_v of_o holy_a duty_n be_v thy_o thought_n then_o selfe-swolne_a i.e._n be_v conceit_v of_o self_n 〈◊〉_d it_o be_v 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d as_o some_o great_a one_o or_o rather_o do_v not_o see_v thou_o be_v a_o unprofitable_a servant_n and_o have_v do_v but_o what_o nay_o not_o so_o much_o as_o thou_o ought_v sure_o though_o education_n may_v and_o do_v puff_n up_o yet_o its_o regeneration_n that_o humble_v and_o pull_v down_o add_v hereunto_o three_o make_v inquiry_n after_o thy_o aim_n in_o holy_a act_n be_v it_o to_o be_v and_o do_v as_o other_o be_v it_o to_o comply_v with_o friend_n relation_n etc._n etc._n or_o be_v it_o to_o have_v communion_n with_o christ_n be_v it_o to_o hold_v forth_o the_o praise_n of_o he_o who_o have_v call_v you_o out_o of_o darkness_n to_o light_n be_v not_o this_o thy_o aim_n to_o approve_v thyself_o to_o god_n it_o be_v true_a education_n may_v and_o do_v make_v many_o do_v duty_n to_o approve_v themselves_o to_o parent_n tutor_n etc._n etc._n but_o its_o regeneration_n which_o make_v this_o the_o end_n of_o holy_a act_n to_o approve_v on_o his_o soul_n to_o god_n education_n may_v cause_v a_o minister_n to_o preach_v and_o a_o christian_n to_o practice_v to_o be_v approve_v of_o by_o man_n but_o its_o regeneration_n which_o put_v on_o timothy_n to_o study_v to_o show_v himself_o approve_v unto_o god_n as_o it_o be_v 1_o tim_n 3.15_o wherefore_o o_o soul_n why_o be_v thou_o cast_v down_o why_o say_v or_o fear_v thou_o that_o all_o which_o thou_o have_v be_v only_a education_n sith_o if_o thou_o shall_v leave_v off_o thou_o can_v not_o be_v quiet_a and_o yet_o while_o thou_o act_v thou_o dare_v not_o boast_n and_o all_o that_o thou_o aim_v at_o be_v above_o man_n sure_o these_o thing_n be_v more_o than_o education_n but_o to_o add_v one_o thing_n more_o suppose_v it_o be_v as_o thou_o fear_v suppose_v as_o yet_o education_n be_v thy_o all_o and_o that_o all_o thy_o principle_n be_v parentine_a i_o say_v suppose_v this_o quest_n what_o then_o what_o if_o thy_o fear_n be_v more_o than_o a_o fear_n a_o reality_n what_o then_o oh_o soul_n answ_n what_o then_o why_o than_o i_o may_v well_o sit_v sad_o as_o i_o do_v and_o be_v disquiet_v more_o than_o i_o be_o i_o may_v not_o only_o be_v cast_v down_o but_o resolve_v never_o to_o rise_v why_o if_o i_o have_v no_o more_o than_o education_n woe_n be_v i_o for_o i_o be_o undo_v etc._n etc._n reply_n stay_v soul_n not_o so_o sad_a if_o it_o shall_v be_v that_o as_o yet_o you_o have_v no_o more_o than_o education_n yet_o remember_v first_o good_a act_n be_v laudable_a in_o themselves_o holy_a practice_n be_v commendable_a from_o any_o principle_n the_o young_a man_n that_o tell_v christ_n he_o have_v keep_v all_o the_o commandment_n from_o his_o childhood_n have_v no_o more_o than_o education_n and_o yet_o it_o be_v say_v christ_n look_v upon_o he_o and_o love_v he_o mark_n 10.21_o i_o think_v it_o be_v but_o a_o conceit_n of_o origen_n that_o say_v christ_n kiss_v he_o yet_o i_o think_v it_o may_v be_v true_o collect_v christ_n be_v please_v with_o his_o offer_v these_o particular_n satisfaction_n satisfaction_n in_o order_n to_o raise_v they_o from_o under_o this_o dejection_n first_o bless_a be_v the_o soul_n that_o fear_v always_o the_o soul_n stand_v sure_a while_o it_o tremble_v the_o apostle_n advise_v he_o that_o stand_v to_o take_v heed_n lest_o he_o fall_v and_o the_o way_n to_o stand_v be_v not_o to_o be_v high_o mind_v but_o to_o
