present_a that_o a_o man_n for_o the_o present_a be_v a_o drunkard_n or_o a_o swearer_n or_o a_o sabbath-breaker_n or_o a_o adulterer_n and_o therefore_o the_o scripture_n tell_v he_o for_o the_o present_a that_o he_o be_v in_o the_o state_n of_o nature_n and_o under_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n but_o do_v the_o scripture_n tell_v he_o that_o he_o be_v a_o reprobate_n that_o he_o can_v never_o be_v convert_v and_o turn_v to_o god_n sure_o this_o be_v god_n great_a prerogative_n to_o know_v his_o secret_n which_o he_o reserve_v to_o himself_o and_o therefore_o when_o a_o man_n go_v to_o be_v goodness_n also_o luther_n say_v thus_o when_o my_o heart_n be_v brisk_a and_o jolly_a i_o present_v god_n unto_o myself_o under_o the_o notion_n of_o his_o greatness_n but_o when_o my_o heart_n be_v low_a and_o fear_v than_o i_o present_v god_n to_o i_o under_o the_o notion_n of_o his_o goodness_n one_o while_o i_o consider_v christ_n as_o my_o example_n another_o while_n as_o my_o gift_n when_o my_o heart_n be_v too_o high_a than_o i_o consider_v christ_n as_o my_o example_n when_o my_o spirit_n be_v too_o low_a i_o consider_v christ_n as_o my_o gift_n so_o do_v you_o also_o i_o know_v you_o will_v say_v i_o can_v sometime_o present_v the_o lord_n unto_o my_o soul_n under_o the_o notion_n of_o a_o father_n because_o i_o have_v no_o assurance_n of_o his_o love_n yet_o you_o may_v consider_v the_o lord_n as_o gracious_a in_o himself_o as_o good_a in_o himself_o and_o love_v in_o himself_o and_o say_v i_o have_v thus_o and_o thus_o sin_v against_o a_o gracious_a god_n and_o although_o thou_o have_v not_o assurance_n of_o god_n love_n to_o thou_o in_o particular_a yet_o if_o you_o can_v present_v god_n to_o your_o soul_n under_o the_o notion_n of_o his_o general_a goodness_n as_o good_a in_o himself_o you_o will_v never_o be_v discourage_v but_o be_v humble_v answ_n 6_o six_o and_o last_o if_o you_o will_v be_v true_o humble_v and_o not_o be_v discourage_v not_o discourage_v and_o yet_o humble_v then_o beat_v and_o drive_v up_o all_o your_o sin_n to_o your_o unbeleef_n and_o lay_v the_o stress_n and_o weight_n of_o all_o your_o sorrow_n upon_o that_o sin_n as_o in_o matter_n of_o thankfulness_n if_o a_o man_n do_v run_v up_o every_o mercy_n unto_o the_o fountain_n mercy_n the_o blood_n of_o jesus_n christ_n he_o will_v be_v most_o thankful_a so_o in_o the_o matter_n of_o humiliation_n if_o a_o man_n do_v run_v up_o every_o sin_n unto_o the_o fountain_n the_o head_n sin_n he_o will_v be_v most_o humble_v now_o what_o be_v the_o great_a sin_n the_o fountain_n sin_n the_o head_n sin_n of_o all_o your_o sin_n but_o unbelief_n and_o believe_v it_o he_o be_v never_o far_o from_o faith_n that_o be_v humble_v for_o his_o unbeleef_n and_o he_o will_v never_o be_v discourage_v that_o be_v not_o far_o from_o faith_n now_o therefore_o if_o at_o any_o time_n you_o find_v your_o soul_n in_o any_o sin_n then_o say_v this_o have_v my_o unbeleef_n do_v i_o do_v not_o think_v that_o i_o have_v have_v such_o a_o unbelieved_a heart_n o_o what_o a_o unbelieved_a heart_n have_v i_o this_o even_o all_o this_o sin_n have_v my_o unbeleef_n bring_v forth_o now_o the_o lord_n heal_v my_o unbelieved_a heart_n a_o soul_n grieve_v for_o unbeleef_n will_v never_o be_v discourage_v too_o much_o nor_o be_v humble_v too_o little_a he_o will_v be_v humble_v in_o truth_n for_o sin_n because_o he_o be_v humble_v for_o his_o unbeleef_n which_o be_v the_o mother_n sin_n yet_o he_o will_v not_o be_v discourage_v because_o he_o be_v humble_v for_o that_o which_o do_v cause_n all_o discouragement_n lay_v therefore_o the_o weight_n of_o your_o sorrow_n upon_o this_o sin_n and_o you_o shall_v be_v true_o humble_v without_o unjust_a in_o his_o duty_n he_o that_o write_v better_a than_o he_o do_v before_o do_v not_o write_v more_o paper_n or_o make_v more_o letter_n only_o he_o do_v write_v more_o exact_o and_o accurate_o so_o the_o grow_v christian_a do_v not_o perform_v more_o duty_n than_o he_o do_v before_o but_o the_o same_o more_o exact_o the_o more_o a_o man_n see_v and_o understand_v his_o christian_a liberty_n and_o yet_o do_v walk_v more_o strict_o the_o more_o he_o do_v grow_v in_o grace_n some_o think_v they_o grow_v in_o grace_n because_o they_o have_v more_o understanding_n in_o their_o christian_a liberty_n though_o they_o do_v walk_v more_o loose_o these_o be_v deceive_v in_o their_o spiritual_a growth_n but_o if_o i_o know_v my_o christian_a liberty_n more_o full_o and_o now_o do_v walk_v more_o strict_o in_o my_o life_n then_o do_v i_o grow_v in_o grace_n indeed_o now_o be_v it_o not_o thus_o with_o you_o yes_o through_o grace_n i_o be_o able_a to_o say_v that_o i_o see_v my_o
