best_a thing_n and_o therefore_o question_v the_o truth_n of_o faith_n and_o grace_n in_o they_o for_o the_o comfort_n of_o such_o let_v i_o first_o of_o all_o tell_v they_o that_o if_o all_o be_v not_o well_o twenty_o to_o one_o the_o devil_n will_v not_o be_v so_o busy_a with_o they_o to_o perplex_v &_o trouble_v they_o with_o these_o pious_a fear_n &_o holy_a doubt_n we_o seldom_o hear_v conscience_n yet_o by_o that_o which_o have_v be_v speak_v it_o be_v evident_a that_o they_o be_v far_o from_o any_o evidence_n of_o true_a grace_n a_o four_o and_o last_o difference_n betwixt_o sound_n and_o counterfeit_a grace_n lie_v in_o perseverance_n counterfeit_n grace_n be_v but_o temporary_a it_o look_v fresh_a and_o seem_v to_o flourish_v for_o a_o season_n but_o every_o little_a and_o therefore_o fall_v off_o whatsoever_o profession_n he_o have_v former_o make_v and_o that_o because_o he_o want_v a_o sound_a bottom_n he_o be_v not_o build_v upon_o the_o rock_n christ_n his_o principle_n be_v from_o nature_n education_n or_o the_o world_n and_o not_o from_o union_n and_o communion_n with_o christ_n his_o holy_a profession_n be_v take_v up_o upon_o carnal_a and_o fleshly_a term_n not_o out_o of_o love_n to_o piety_n but_o out_o of_o self-love_n and_o by-respect_n which_o whensoever_o they_o fail_v his_o piety_n quail_n

know_v and_o believe_v dear_a brethren_n that_o thing_n will_v not_o always_o stand_v at_o this_o stay_n with_o you_o a_o day_n be_v come_v wherein_o you_o must_v lay_v down_o these_o earthly_a tabernacle_n of_o you_o &_o with_o they_o all_o your_o pleasure_n profit_n and_o honour_n when_o none_o of_o all_o these_o will_v stand_v you_o in_o any_o stead_n or_o afford_v you_o any_o comfort_n partaker_n of_o his_o grace_n be_v fill_v with_o unconceivable_a joy_n &_o comfort_n find_v himself_o deliver_v from_o the_o power_n of_o darkness_n and_o translate_v into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o or_o if_o i_o be_v endow_v with_o as_o much_o grace_n as_o some_o be_v i_o shall_v then_o have_v less_o fear_n and_o more_o hope_n of_o hold_v out_o unto_o the_o end_n but_o alas_o i_o be_o a_o poor_a faintness_n and_o sickness_n even_o so_o it_o be_v with_o we_o in_o respect_n of_o grace_n the_o life_n of_o our_o soul_n for_o that_o soul_n which_o be_v destitute_a of_o grace_n be_v dead_a while_o
