order_v his_o church_n partly_o by_o himself_o and_o partly_o by_o assistance_n of_o fellow_n labourer_n but_o the_o government_n wherewith_o christ_n guide_v his_o church_n we_o know_v to_o be_v son_n of_o god_n when_o he_o be_v to_o fulfil_v the_o office_n of_o a_o teacher_n in_o the_o church_n will_v be_v make_v a_o man_n and_o our_o brother_n and_o familiar_a and_o like_v unto_o we_o in_o all_o thing_n sin_v only_o except_v whereto_o that_o same_o tend_v 1.1_o heb._n 4.15_o heb._n 2.12_o heb._n 1.1_o i_o will_v declare_v thy_o name_n to_o my_o brethren_n in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o congregation_n will_v i_o praise_v thou_o and_o that_o same_o in_o these_o last_o day_n he_o have_v speak_v unto_o we_o by_o his_o son_n namely_o be_v now_o make_v man_n and_o live_v familiar_o in_o the_o church_n v._o there_o be_v two_o kind_n of_o man_n especial_o who_o ministry_n christ_n use_v to_o the_o government_n and_o preservation_n of_o the_o church_n and_o although_o there_o be_v not_o one_o member_n in_o this_o whole_a great_a body_n of_o the_o church_n but_o christ_n use_v the_o same_o to_o some_o profit_n of_o the_o other_o member_n 12.7_o 1._o cor._n 12.7_o and_o so_o of_o the_o whole_a body_n as_o paul_n teach_v yet_o we_o acknowledge_v two_o principal_a kind_n of_o man_n who_o help_n and_o service_n he_o be_v wont_a to_o use_v for_o the_o government_n and_o preservation_n of_o the_o church_n namely_o first_o teacher_n and_o other_o to_o administer_v the_o word_n sacrament_n &_o other_o ecclesiastical_a duty_n then_o godly_a prince_n and_o magistrate_n who_o ministery_n or_o office_n we_o confound_v not_o but_o acknowledge_v they_o to_o be_v distinct_a and_o very_a diverse_a among_o which_o difference_n this_o also_o be_v not_o the_o least_o that_o the_o ministry_n of_o teacher_n be_v always_o very_o necessary_a to_o the_o church_n but_o of_o politic_a magistrate_n not_o so_o since_o the_o former_a the_o church_n can_v be_v without_o but_o the_o other_o it_o often_o have_v want_v and_o may_v want_v they_o vi_o about_o what_o matter_n especial_o the_o ecclesiastical_a ministry_n be_v employ_v but_o as_o the_o sum_n of_o christian_n piety_n consist_v in_o three_o thing_n in_o faith_n in_o christ_n in_o continual_a repentance_n that_o be_v in_o the_o mortification_n of_o our_o flesh_n and_o of_o our_o sin_n and_o quicken_a of_o the_o spirit_n and_o last_o in_o charity_n towards_o our_o neighbour_n so_o also_o we_o acknowledge_v three_o principal_a part_n of_o the_o ecclesiastical_a ministry_n first_o to_o teach_v and_o to_o preach_v the_o word_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o also_o to_o administer_v the_o sacrament_n and_o offer_v up_o the_o public_a sacrifice_n of_o praise_n to_o god_n through_o jesus_n christ_n second_o to_o declare_v by_o the_o apostle_n and_o last_o to_o do_v all_o such_o thing_n which_o though_o they_o be_v not_o express_v in_o the_o scripture_n yet_o do_v belong_v to_o order_n and_o to_o decency_n and_o do_v make_v for_o edification_n and_o not_o for_o destruction_n according_a to_o the_o general_a rule_n give_v by_o the_o apostle_n 14.40_o 1._o cor._n 14.40_o that_o all_o thing_n ought_v to_o be_v do_v in_o the_o church_n in_o order_n decent_o and_o to_o edification_n neither_o think_v we_o that_o any_o authority_n be_v give_v unto_o minister_n beyond_o the_o bound_n of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n or_o to_o any_o other_o end_n then_o for_o edification_n &_o therefore_o we_o deny_v that_o one_o bishop_n or_o all_o bishop_n together_o have_v authority_n to_o appoint_v any_o thing_n against_o the_o their_o political_a commandment_n which_o may_v be_v keep_v without_o breach_n of_o god_n law_n be_v to_o be_v obey_v by_o their_o subject_n not_o only_o for_o fear_n but_o also_o for_o conscience_n and_o be_v altogether_o ignorant_a of_o the_o baptism_n of_o christ_n that_o be_v of_o the_o spirit_n he_o baptize_v they_o show_v unto_o they_o what_o johns_n baptism_n be_v and_o how_o he_o baptize_v into_o christ_n not_o into_o his_o own_o sprinkle_n or_o dip_v of_o the_o water_n as_o though_o that_o can_v be_v any_o profit_n unto_o they_o he_o therefore_o baptize_v they_o with_o this_o baptism_n of_o john_n that_o be_v as_o john_n use_v to_o do_v into_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n and_o by_o &_o by_o after_o lay_v on_o his_o hand_n he_o baptize_v they_o with_o the_o baptism_n also_o of_o christ_n that_o be_v with_o the_o spirit_n for_o immediate_o the_o holy_a ghost_n come_v on_o they_o as_o it_o be_v there_o read_v this_o there_o and_o upon_o the_o epistle_n to_o the_o ephes_n chap._n 4._o the_o same_o bucer_n write_v thus_o hereby_o it_o be_v also_o manifest_a that_o the_o twelve_o man_n at_o ephesus_n which_o know_v not_o whether_o there_o be_v a_o these_o word_n he_o will_v teach_v we_o that_o they_o never_o receive_v johns_n baptism_n who_o as_o yet_o know_v not_o johns_n preach_v of_o christ_n and_o the_o promise_n thus_o far_o bucer_n see_v then_o the_o father_n expound_v this_o place_n in_o act._n 19_o as_o we_o have_v now_o declare_v who_o i_o pray_v be_o i_o that_o i_o shall_v dare_v or_o that_o i_o ought_v to_o gainsay_v so_o many_o and_o so_o learned_a man_n in_o such_o a_o exposition_n of_o this_o scripture_n which_o neither_o do_v any_o whitt_n wrest_v the_o text_n nor_o contrari_v any_o other_o scripture_n nor_o be_v nothing_o against_o the_o father_n exposition_n see_v it_o be_v no_o unusual_a thing_n with_o the_o apostle_n where_o he_o say_v first_o true_o not_o always_o to_o join_v the_o adversative_a be_v understand_v very_o fit_o as_o hereafter_o we_o will_v show_v so_o that_o it_o be_v no_o necessity_n with_o this_o true_o to_o join_v that_o but_o which_o follow_v in_o the_o 5._o verse_n in_o which_o verse_n the_o father_n will_v have_v not_o paul_n speech_n but_o luke_n to_o be_v continue_v therefore_o the_o father_n exposition_n be_v not_o repugnant_a to_o the_o text_n nor_o yet_o with_o any_o other_o scripture_n for_o if_o any_o man_n say_v paul_n write_v to_o the_o corinthian_n that_o he_o be_v glad_a he_o baptize_v none_o but_o the_o house_n of_o stephana_n it_o may_v be_v answer_v it_o be_v true_a namely_o at_o corinth_n but_o these_o twelve_o be_v baptize_v at_o ephesus_n and_o beside_o he_o speak_v of_o such_o as_o be_v baptize_v with_o his_o own_o hand_n but_o these_o twelve_o he_o may_v baptise_v by_o some_o other_o to_o dispute_v no_o long_o about_o the_o circumstance_n of_o the_o time_n and_o it_o be_v most_o certain_a it_o be_v not_o repugnant_a to_o the_o of_o the_o baptism_n of_o christ_n and_o of_o the_o manifestation_n of_o the_o trinity_n pag._n 430._o so_o august_n to._n 7._o against_o petil_n cap._n 7._o but_o all_o of_o we_o do_v not_o know_v what_o the_o father_n be_v mean_v by_o this_o difference_n of_o the_o baptism_n for_o they_o mean_v not_o that_o the_o one_o diffr_v from_o the_o other_o in_o the_o matter_n or_o in_o the_o sign_n or_o in_o the_o doctrine_n and_o form_n of_o baptisine_n but_o only_o in_o efficacy_n that_o namely_o although_o remission_n of_o sin_n be_v give_v to_o they_o which_o be_v wash_v with_o johns_n baptism_n yet_o the_o same_o be_v not_o of_o johns_n baptism_n that_o be_v of_o water_n but_o by_o the_o baptism_n of_o christ_n which_o be_v the_o baptism_n of_o the_o spirit_n whereunto_o that_o other_o be_v not_o little_a 1_o for_o the_o former_a see_v they_o believe_v none_o of_o all_o the_o thing_n which_o they_o hear_v concern_v christ_n body_n in_o the_o supper_n nor_o perceive_v any_o the_o other_o see_v that_o by_o their_o only_a historical_a hypocritical_a and_o temporal_a belief_n they_o understand_v in_o their_o mind_n and_o in_o some_o sort_n do_v believe_v the_o thing_n which_o be_v speak_v and_o do_v therefore_o by_o the_o same_o belief_n and_o mind_n they_o may_v be_v say_v in_o some_o sort_n to_o receive_v and_o in_o some_o sort_n to_o taste_v the_o body_n of_o christ_n offer_v in_o the_o word_n and_o sacrament_n although_o they_o do_v not_o in_o very_a deed_n eat_v it_o see_v they_o do_v not_o swallow_v nor_o retain_v the_o same_o for_o this_o proper_o be_v to_o eat_v in_o the_o stomach_n of_o their_o soul_n for_o nourishment_n of_o their_o spirit_n but_o rather_o do_v spew_v or_o vomit_v out_o the_o same_o be_v taste_v and_o after_o a_o sort_n receive_v down_o for_o so_o also_o we_o read_v in_o the_o 6_o to_o the_o heb._n of_o those_o temporary_a professor_n that_o they_o taste_v the_o heavenly_a gift_n and_o good_a word_n of_o god_n as_o if_o he_o have_v say_v they_o taste_v indeed_o and_o that_o also_o by_o the_o gift_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n but_o be_v taste_v they_o cast_v it_o up_o again_o and_o in_o the_o parable_n of_o the_o seed_n
