genealogy_n and_o ramification_n of_o some_o single_a family_n even_o to_o a_o vast_a and_o numerous_a extension_n may_v be_v preserve_v but_o that_o will_v not_o do_v the_o business_n that_o i_o intend_v for_o it_o be_v rare_a and_o beyond_o example_n in_o any_o author_n that_o i_o know_v that_o the_o entire_a and_o complete_a pedigree_n of_o the_o whole_a descendants_n of_o any_o particular_a family_n be_v deduce_v down_o through_o the_o space_n of_o a_o thousand_o year_n last_o pass_v whereas_o such_o instance_n as_o must_v serve_v my_o turn_n must_v be_v such_o as_o be_v of_o this_o book_n before_o homer_n the_o first_o profane_a historian_n that_o be_v extant_a and_o if_o any_o man_n shall_v object_v against_o the_o competency_n of_o this_o instance_n 1._o because_o the_o same_o moses_n who_o i_o use_v in_o this_o topick_n be_v the_o person_n that_o assert_v the_o thing_n de_fw-fr quo_fw-la ambigitur_fw-la namely_o the_o first_o production_n of_o mankind_n and_o by_o tell_v we_o that_o moses_n who_o write_v by_o a_o infallible_a spirit_n and_o inspiration_n tell_v we_o that_o mankind_n be_v create_v by_o god_n about_o 6669_o year_n since_o according_a to_o the_o seventy_o and_o so_o there_o need_v no_o far_a reason_n nor_o can_v be_v any_o far_a controversy_n touch_v it_o to_o this_o i_o shall_v say_v these_o thing_n that_o although_o it_o be_v certain_a that_o moses_n be_v inspire_v by_o a_o infallible_a spirit_n in_o what_o he_o write_v and_o that_o he_o do_v in_o plain_a term_n tell_v we_o that_o man_n be_v at_o first_o create_v by_o almighty_a god_n and_o therefore_o to_o i_o or_o any_o else_o that_o be_v satisfy_v of_o the_o infallible_a authority_n of_o the_o holy_a scripture_n this_o be_v sufficient_a to_o satisfy_v that_o the_o truth_n be_v as_o moses_n have_v inform_v we_o and_o there_o need_v no_o other_o argument_n to_o support_v my_o faith_n of_o the_o truth_n hereof_o yet_o because_o i_o be_o write_v of_o those_o natural_a and_o moral_a evidence_n of_o this_o truth_n that_o may_v be_v of_o strength_n enough_o to_o evince_v the_o truth_n of_o this_o assertion_n upon_o the_o apparent_a moral_a evidence_n of_o the_o credibility_n of_o the_o write_n of_o moses_n i_o shall_v here_o urge_v the_o authority_n of_o moses_n for_o the_o proof_n of_o the_o matter_n of_o fact_n in_o question_n as_o i_o will_v urge_v herodotus_n or_o livy_n to_o prove_v a_o matter_n of_o fact_n allege_v by_o they_o and_o at_o this_o time_n and_o in_o this_o dispute_n shall_v only_o use_v his_o testimony_n as_o a_o moral_a evidence_n of_o the_o truth_n he_o assert_n as_o a_o evidence_n of_o credibility_n and_o as_o i_o shall_v not_o exact_v a_o subscription_n to_o the_o truth_n he_o deliver_v upon_o the_o account_n of_o with_o it_o single_o without_o the_o contribution_n of_o the_o supposition_n of_o a_o divine_a authority_n as_o great_a a_o evidence_n of_o truth_n as_o any_o history_n in_o world_n beside_o and_o as_o to_o that_o which_o be_v say_v that_o the_o supposition_n of_o the_o truth_n of_o what_o moses_n assert_n be_v to_o suppose_v the_o thing_n controvert_v because_o moses_n assert_v the_o creation_n of_o mankind_n i_o say_v 1._o that_o i_o shall_v not_o at_o all_o instance_n in_o that_o assertion_n as_o to_o determine_v the_o question_n but_o only_o so_o far_o forth_o as_o it_o be_v a_o moral_a evidence_n of_o the_o
