and_o loathe_v of_o they_o by_o man_n of_o large_a apprehension_n there_o be_v work_n enough_o to_o exercise_v their_o understanding_n 2._o to_o raise_v our_o heart_n to_o the_o admiration_n of_o the_o infinite_a wisdom_n of_o god_n the_o author_n of_o they_o 3._o to_o excite_v man_n to_o be_v more_o diligent_a in_o the_o study_n of_o they_o iii_o that_o as_o many_o wrest_v the_o scripture_n to_o their_o own_o destruction_n so_o many_o be_v ignorant_a of_o they_o to_o their_o own_o destruction_n the_o lord_n will_v come_v in_o flame_a sire_n to_o render_v judgement_n and_o vengeance_n to_o they_o that_o know_v not_o god_n 2_o thes_n 1._o 8._o you_o err_v not_o know_v the_o scripture_n nor_o the_o power_n of_o god_n 4._o that_o obscurity_n which_o be_v in_o the_o scripture_n do_v not_o arise_v from_o the_o nature_n of_o that_o which_o be_v affirm_v or_o from_o the_o intention_n of_o the_o person_n affirm_v but_o either_o from_o the_o ignorance_n or_o wilfulness_n of_o he_o that_o wrest_v it_o 3._o sometime_o he_o take_v man_n off_o from_o the_o study_n of_o the_o scripture_n by_o show_v they_o the_o wicked_a practice_n of_o such_o as_o be_v so_o much_o for_o the_o scripture_n be_v there_o any_o sort_n of_o man_n more_o loose_a &_o c_o against_o this_o design_n we_o shall_v consider_v these_o thing_n 1._o that_o there_o be_v some_o who_o by_o the_o study_v of_o the_o scripture_n be_v enable_v to_o mortify_v sin_n and_o live_v holy_o their_o life_n be_v exemplary_a etc._n etc._n 2._o the_o looseness_n and_o sinfulness_n of_o some_o who_o study_v the_o
