in_o the_o gospel_n of_o st._n luke_n that_o our_o saviour_n christ_n continue_v the_o whole_a night_n in_o prayer_n or_o ever_o that_o he_o do_v choose_v and_o send_v forth_o his_o twelve_o apostle_n it_o be_v write_v also_o in_o the_o act_n of_o the_o apostle_n that_o the_o disciple_n which_o be_v at_o antioch_n do_v fast_o and_o pray_v or_o ever_o the_o lay_v hand_n upon_o or_o send_v forth_o paul_n and_o barnabas_n let_v we_o therefore_o follow_v the_o example_n of_o our_o saviour_n christ_n and_o his_o apostle_n first_o fall_n to_o prayer_n or_o that_o we_o admit_v and_o send_v forth_o this_o person_n present_v unto_o we_o to_o the_o work_n whereunto_o we_o trust_v the_o holy_a ghost_n have_v call_v he_o and_o then_o shall_v be_v say_v the_o litany_n as_o afore_o in_o the_o order_n of_o deacon_n and_o after_o this_o place_n that_o it_o may_v please_v thou_o illuminate_v all_o bishop_n etc._n etc._n that_o it_o may_v please_v thou_o to_o bless_v this_o our_o brother_n elect_v and_o to_o send_v thy_o grace_n upon_o he_o that_o he_o may_v due_o execute_v the_o office_n whereunto_o he_o be_v call_v to_o the_o edify_n of_o the_o church_n and_o to_o the_o honour_n praise_n and_o glory_n of_o thy_o name_n answer_n we_o beseech_v thou_o to_o hear_v we_o good_a lord_n conclude_v the_o litany_n in_o the_o end_n with_o this_o prayer_n almighty_a god_n the_o giver_n of_o all_o good_a thing_n which_o by_o thy_o holy_a spirit_n have_v appoint_v divers_a order_n and_o minister_n in_o thy_o church_n merciful_o behold_v this_o thy_o servant_n now_o call_v to_o the_o work_n and_o ministry_n of_o a_o bishop_n and_o replenish_v he_o so_o with_o the_o truth_n of_o thy_o doctrine_n and_o innocency_n of_o life_n that_o both_o by_o word_n and_o deed_n he_o may_v faithful_o serve_v thou_o in_o this_o office_n to_o the_o glory_n of_o thy_o name_n and_o profit_n of_o thy_o congregation_n through_o the_o merit_n of_o our_o saviour_n jesus_n christ_n who_o live_v and_o reign_v with_o thou_o and_o the_o holy_a ghost_n world_n without_o end_n amen_n then_o the_o archbishop_n sit_v in_o a_o chair_n shall_v say_v to_o he_o that_o be_v to_o be_v consecrate_a brother_n forasmuch_o as_o holy_a scripture_n and_o the_o old_a canon_n command_v that_o we_o shall_v not_o be_v hasty_a in_o lay_v on_o hand_n and_o admit_v of_o any_o person_n to_o the_o government_n of_o the_o congregation_n of_o christ_n which_o he_o have_v purchase_v with_o no_o less_o price_n than_o the_o effusion_n of_o his_o own_o blood_n afore_o i_o admit_v you_o to_o this_o administration_n whereunto_o you_o be_v call_v i_o will_v examine_v you_o in_o certain_a article_n to_o the_o end_n the_o congregation_n present_a may_v have_v a_o trial_n and_o bear_v witness_n how_o you_o be_v mind_v to_o behave_v yourself_o in_o the_o church_n of_o god_n be_v you_o persuade_v that_o you_o be_v true_o call_v to_o this_o ministration_n according_a to_o the_o will_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n and_o the_o order_n of_o this_o realm_n answer_v i_o be_o so_o persuade_v the_o archbishop_n be_v you_o persuade_v that_o the_o holy_a scripture_n contain_v sufficient_o all_o doctrine_n require_v of_o necessity_n for_o eternal_a salvation_n through_o the_o faith_n in_o jesus_n christ_n and_o be_v you_o determine_v with_o the_o same_o holy_a scripture_n to_o instruct_v the_o people_n commit_v to_o your_o charge_n and_o to_o teach_v or_o maintain_v nothing_o as_o require_v of_o necessity_n to_o eternal_a salvation_n but_o that_o you_o shall_v be_v persuade_v may_v be_v conclude_v and_o prove_v by_o the_o same_o answer_v i_o be_o so_o persuade_v and_o determine_v by_o god_n grace_n the_o achbishop_n will_v you_o then_o faithful_o exercise_v yourself_o in_o the_o say_v holy_a scripture_n and_o call_v upon_o god_n by_o prayer_n for_o the_o true_a understanding_n of_o the_o same_o so_o as_o you_o may_v be_v able_a by_o they_o to_o teach_v and_o exhort_v with_o wholesome_a doctrine_n and_o to_o withstand_v and_o convince_v the_o gainsayer_n answer_n i_o will_v so_o do_v by_o the_o help_n of_o god_n the_o archbishop_n be_v you_o ready_a with_o all_o faithful_a diligence_n to_o banish_v and_o drive_v away_o all_o erroneous_a and_o strange_a doctrine_n contrary_a to_o god_n word_n and_o both_o private_o and_o open_o to_o call_v upon_o and_o encourage_v other_o to_o the_o same_o answer_n i_o be_o ready_a the_o lord_n be_v my_o helper_n the_o archbishop_n will_v you_o deny_v all_o ungodliness_n and_o worldly_a lust_n and_o live_v sober_o righteous_o and_o godly_a in_o this_o world_n that_o you_o may_v show_v yourself_o in_o all_o thing_n a_o example_n of_o good_a work_n unto_o other_o that_o the_o adversary_n may_v be_v ashamed_a have_v nothing_o to_o lay_v against_o you_o answer_n i_o will_v so_o do_v the_o lord_n be_v my_o helper_n the_o archbishop_n will_v you_o maintain_v and_o set_v forward_o as_o much_o as_o in_o you_o lie_v quietness_n peace_n and_o love_n among_o all_o man_n and_o such_o as_o be_v unquiet_a disobedient_a and_o criminous_a within_o your_o diocese_n correct_v and_o punish_v according_a to_o such_o authority_n as_o you_o have_v by_o god_n word_n as_o to_o you_o shall_v be_v commit_v by_o the_o ordinance_n of_o this_o realm_n answer_n i_o will_v so_o do_v by_o the_o help_n of_o god_n the_o archbishop_n will_v you_o show_v yourself_o gentle_a and_o be_v merciful_a for_o christ_n sake_n to_o poor_a and_o needy_a people_n and_o to_o all_o stranger_n destitute_a of_o help_n answer_n i_o will_v so_o show_v myself_o by_o god_n help_n the_o archbishop_n almighty_a god_n our_o heavenly_a father_n who_o have_v give_v you_o a_o good_a will_n to_o do_v all_o these_o thing_n grant_v also_o unto_o you_o strength_n and_o power_n to_o perform_v the_o same_o that_o be_v accomplish_v in_o you_o the_o good_a work_n which_o he_o have_v begin_v you_o may_v be_v find_v perfect_a and_o irreprehensible_a at_o the_o latter_a day_n through_o jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n amen_o then_o shall_v be_v sing_v or_o say_v come_v holy_a ghost_n etc._n etc._n as_o it_o be_v set_v out_o in_o the_o order_n of_o priest_n that_o end_v the_o archbishop_n shall_v say_v lord_n hear_v our_o prayer_n answer_n and_o let_v our_o cry_n come_v unto_o thou_o ¶_o let_v we_o pray_v almighty_a god_n and_o most_o merciful_a
