¶_o by_o the_o king_n â§_o a_o proclamation_n for_o the_o restraint_n of_o serve_v of_o fee_n dear_a forasmuch_o as_o we_o take_v notice_n from_o all_o part_n of_o this_o kingdom_n that_o this_o last_o hard_a winter_n have_v cause_v a_o great_a destruction_n of_o great_a number_n of_o our_o deer_n both_o of_o red_a and_o fallow_a in_o all_o our_o park_n forest_n and_o chase_n and_o that_o it_o be_v to_o be_v doubt_v those_o which_o have_v escape_v the_o extremity_n of_o the_o weather_n be_v so_o weaken_v and_o surfeyt_v by_o the_o same_o as_o they_o will_v hardly_o hold_v out_o the_o next_o winter_n soas_n if_o there_o be_v not_o some_o course_n take_v how_o they_o may_v be_v restore_v again_o and_o preserve_v our_o ground_n will_v not_o be_v supply_v a_o long_a time_n we_o for_o remedy_n thereof_o have_v think_v fit_a to_o make_v stay_n of_o the_o serve_v of_o all_o fee_n dear_a and_o all_o dear_a by_o warrant_n aswell_o to_o our_o justice_n in_o eyre_n of_o our_o forest_n both_o on_o this_o side_n and_o beyond_o trent_n and_o to_o all_o other_o our_o officer_n great_a and_o small_a as_o also_o leiutenant_n ranger_n verdurer_n and_o keeper_n that_o either_o by_o custom_n by_o pretence_n of_o their_o office_n or_o by_o any_o other_o warrant_v whatsoever_o do_v claim_n to_o have_v any_o fee_n dear_a either_o within_o the_o survey_n of_o our_o exthequer_n or_o of_o our_o duchy_n of_o lancaster_n and_o to_o the_o end_n that_o our_o say_a justice_n in_o eyre_n and_o all_o other_o our_o officer_n claim_v right_o of_o fee_n dear_a and_o all_o our_o leiutenant_n ranger_n verdurer_n keeper_n and_o all_o other_o our_o officer_n of_o any_o our_o forest_n park_n or_o chase_n may_v the_o more_o speedy_o take_v knowledge_n of_o this_o our_o pleasure_n we_o have_v likewise_o think_v good_a to_o make_v the_o same_o know_v unto_o they_o by_o this_o public_a signification_n whereby_o we_o do_v strait_o charge_v and_o command_v aswell_o our_o justice_n in_o eyre_n beyond_o and_o on_o this_o side_n trent_n and_o all_o officer_n and_o minister_n aswell_o within_o the_o survey_n of_o our_o exchequer_n as_o of_o our_o duchy_n of_o lancaster_n of_o what_o degree_n soever_o and_o all_o leiutenant_n ranger_n verdurer_n forester_n keeper_n and_o officer_n in_o any_o our_o forest_n chase_n or_o park_n that_o they_o do_v forbear_v to_o give_v out_o their_o warrant_n for_o any_o deer_n red_a or_o fallow_a claim_v by_o they_o as_o fee_n incident_a to_o their_o office_n and_o place_n and_o do_v likewise_o will_n and_o command_v all_o keeper_n and_o vnderkeeper_n to_o who_o the_o serve_v of_o such_o warrant_n do_v appertain_v either_o of_o red_a deer_n or_o fallow_a that_o they_o shall_v not_o serve_v this_o year_n any_o fee_n dear_a to_o any_o of_o the_o officer_n before_o mention_v or_o to_o any_o other_o demand_v dear_a by_o what_o warrant_n soever_o except_o only_o by_o warrant_n under_o our_o own_o hand_n or_o signet_n as_o they_o will_v answer_v to_o we_o upon_o peril_n of_o our_o displeasure_n give_v at_o our_o court_n at_o theobalds_n the_o second_o day_n of_o may_n in_o the_o two_o and_o twenty_o yeereof_o our_o reign_n of_o great_a britain_n france_n and_o ireland_n god_n save_o the_o king_n ¶_o imprint_v at_o london_n by_o bonham_n norton_n and_o john_n bill_n printer_n to_o the_o king_n most_o excellent_a majesty_n 1624._o
