will_v always_o maintain_v my_o loyalty_n to_o the_o king_n and_o quiet_o submit_v to_o the_o power_n that_o protect_v i_o that_o so_o i_o may_v keep_v a_o conscience_n void_a of_o offence_n both_o please_v the_o soul_n expostulation_n and_o now_o o_o my_o soul_n consider_v with_o thyself_o if_o sin_n be_v the_o procure_a cause_n of_o all_o thy_o trouble_n have_v thou_o not_o great_a reason_n to_o be_v trouble_v for_o thy_o sin_n than_o for_o thy_o suffering_n affliction_n may_v make_v thou_o better_o but_o sin_n always_o make_v thou_o worse_o it_o may_v be_v necessary_a sometime_o to_o produce_v patience_n but_o this_o be_v alone_o the_o effect_n of_o god_n grace_n for_o the_o nature_n of_o sin_n be_v only_a evil._n what_o reason_n then_o o_o my_o soul_n have_v thou_o to_o bless_v in_o they_o which_o call_v for_o our_o hearty_a sorrow_n and_o repentance_n but_o as_o a_o wife_n physician_n will_v so_o temper_v poison_n as_o not_o only_o to_o allay_v its_o venom_n but_o turn_v it_o into_o a_o antidote_n so_o do_v the_o great_a physician_n of_o our_o soul_n do_v with_o affliction_n make_v they_o work_v together_o for_o our_o good_a and_o bring_v forth_o for_o we_o the_o peaceable_a fruit_n of_o righteousness_n and_o here_o i_o will_v a_o little_a meditate_v upon_o the_o reason_n why_o it_o please_v god_n to_o afflict_v his_o child_n and_o what_o the_o benefit_n be_v that_o we_o reap_v thereby_o 1._o because_o we_o may_v show_v our_o conformity_n to_o our_o bless_a redeemer_n who_o first_o suffer_v and_o then_o enter_v into_o his_o glory_n in_o like_a manner_n we_o be_v tell_v that_o if_o we_o suffer_v with_o he_o we_o shall_v also_o reign_v with_o he_o and_o the_o great_a trial_n we_o endure_v here_o the_o bright_a will_v our_o crown_n of_o glory_n shine_v hereafter_o the_o author_n to_o the_o hebrew_n have_v give_v a_o large_a account_n of_o the_o suffering_n of_o the_o people_n of_o god_n in_o former_a age_n and_o of_o their_o not_o accept_v we_o have_v be_v exercise_v with_o great_a and_o sore_a affliction_n thus_o in_o the_o lxviii_o psalm_n and_o the_o 13_o vers_fw-la though_o you_o have_v lie_v among_o the_o pot_n like_o son_n of_o clay_n esteem_v as_o the_o filth_n of_o the_o world_n and_o the_o offscouring_a of_o all_o thing_n yet_o when_o your_o deliverance_n shall_v come_v you_o shall_v be_v as_o the_o wing_n of_o a_o dove_n cover_v with_o silver_n and_o her_o feather_n with_o yellow_a gold_n i._n e._n you_o shall_v be_v so_o much_o the_o more_o bright_a and_o glorious_a and_o for_o every_o sorrow_n you_o undergo_v in_o
