seed_n if_o that_o according_a as_o every_o body_n like_v it_o be_v lawful_a to_o change_v those_o thing_n that_o perteyn_v to_o the_o common_a state_n since_o that_o it_o will_v never_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o one_o thing_n will_v never_o please_v they_o all_o if_o matter_n as_o though_o they_o be_v lay_v forth_o in_o the_o midst_n among_o they_o be_v leave_v at_o every_o one_o choice_n but_o if_o any_o body_n grumble_v hereat_o and_o will_v here_o be_v more_o wise_a than_o he_o ought_v to_o be_v let_v he_o see_v to_o it_o with_o what_o reason_n he_o may_v approve_v unto_o the_o lord_n his_o way_n wardness_n nevertheless_o this_o say_n of_o paul_n ought_v to_o satisfy_v we_o that_o we_o have_v not_o a_o custom_n of_o contend_v nor_o the_o church_n of_o god_n thus_o modest_o and_o with_o great_a gravity_n write_v caluine_a of_o these_o ecclesiastical_a ceremony_n and_o constitution_n wherein_o although_o it_o be_v but_o of_o a_o linnâ—n_a kerchief_n on_o a_o woman_n head_n or_o to_o the_o scoff_a at_o the_o uniformity_n of_o they_o as_o though_o we_o will_v feed_v old_a man_n and_o suck_a infant_n all_o with_o one_o kind_n of_o meat_n or_o as_o though_o we_o will_v clothe_v all_o age_n in_o a_o robe_n of_o one_o assize_n for_o notwithstanding_o as_o caluine_n say_v they_o be_v but_o outward_a rudiment_n to_o help_v and_o strengthen_v our_o humane_a infirmity_n whereof_o some_o be_v of_o ripe_a age_n in_o christ_n than_o other_o we_o all_o of_o we_o have_v no_o need_n of_o they_o 15._o &_o yet_o say_v caluine_a we_o all_o of_o we_o do_v use_v they_o &_o why_o so_o but_o that_o both_o because_o say_v he_o we_o be_v mutual_o bind_v to_o cherish_v charity_n among_o we_o one_o to_o another_o and_o because_o it_o be_v not_o lawful_a for_o every_o body_n to_o change_v those_o thing_n constitution_n that_o apperteyne_a to_o the_o common_a state_n but_o that_o they_o must_v be_v only_o change_v or_o take_v away_o by_o the_o same_o authority_n that_o do_v make_v they_o and_o as_o they_o be_v not_o lawful_a to_o every_o person_n no_o more_o be_v they_o lawful_a to_o every_o particular_a church_n to_o change_v they_o because_o they_o reach_v high_o even_o to_o the_o common_a state_n of_o the_o whole_a region_n and_o beside_o if_o it_o shall_v be_v suffer_v that_o every_o private_a person_n and_o by_o the_o same_o reason_n every_o private_a congregation_n may_v change_v the_o church_n public_a constitution_n since_o that_o tot_fw-la capita_fw-la tot_fw-la sensus_fw-la no_o one_o constitution_n will_v ever_o please_v all_o person_n this_o will_v become_v the_o very_a seed_n as_o caluine_n call_v it_o of_o all_o brawl_n and_o confusion_n and_o in_o the_o end_n the_o clean_a overthrow_n of_o the_o church_n these_o principle_n of_o caluine_n be_v well_o weigh_v let_v now_o the_o indifferent_a reader_n judge_v how_o true_o our_o brethren_n say_v of_o these_o ceremonial_a constitution_n wherein_o we_o of_o long_a time_n in_o england_n have_v be_v carry_v away_o with_o a_o untrue_a principle_n that_o uniformity_n must_v be_v in_o all_o place_n and_o thing_n alike_o if_o this_o be_v a_o untrue_a principle_n in_o these_o matter_n then_o have_v caluine_v himself_o help_v to_o carry_v we_o away_o uniformity_n but_o i_o be_o afraid_a our_o brethren_n for_o all_o their_o learning_n be_v alittle_o too_o much_o carry_v away_o with_o affection_n that_o make_v they_o both_o in_o this_o matter_n and_o in_o many_o other_o mistake_v untrue_a for_o true_a and_o true_a for_o untrue_a principle_n but_o let_v we_o now_o see_v our_o brethren_n reason_n that_o they_o allege_v against_o uniformity_n in_o these_o ceremonial_a constitution_n our_o land_n be_v not_o yet_o whole_o convert_v to_o christ_n so_o great_a have_v be_v our_o negligence_n hitherto_o therefore_o there_o can_v not_o be_v such_o a_o uniformity_n of_o order_n in_o all_o place_n as_o shall_v be_v profitable_a for_o all_o 120._o this_o argument_n although_o we_o have_v see_v it_o already_o sufficient_o confute_v by_o caluine_n let_v we_o yet_o consider_v it_o somewhat_o further_o in_o the_o example_n even_o of_o these_o constitution_n bridges_n make_v by_o the_o apostle_n and_o elder_n act_n 15._o so_o often_o allege_v by_o our_o brethren_n for_o if_o this_o argument_n be_v good_a then_o can_v not_o they_o have_v make_v as_o they_o do_v those_o ceremonial_a constitution_n and_o command_v the_o charge_n of_o keep_v they_o for_o any_o time_n thereof_o general_o and_o with_o like_a uniformity_n of_o all_o the_o church_n to_o who_o they_o write_v their_o letter_n and_o decree_n say_v verse_n 23.28_o and_o 29._o the_o apostle_n the_o elder_n and_o the_o brethren_n unto_o the_o brethren_n that_o be_v of_o the_o gentile_n in_o antiochia_n and_o in_o syria_n and_o in_o cilicia_n etc._n etc._n it_o seem_v good_a to_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o to_o we_o to_o lay_v no_o more_o burden_n upon_o you_o than_o these_o necessary_a thing_n that_o be_v that_o you_o abstain_v from_o thing_n offer_v to_o idol_n and_o blood_n and_o that_o which_o be_v strangle_v and_o from_o fornication_n from_o which_o if_o you_o keep_v yourselves_o you_o shall_v do_v well_o etc._n etc._n christ._n be_v none_o of_o all_o those_o christian_n in_o the_o church_n to_o who_o they_o write_v these_o decree_n whole_o convert_v to_o christ_n convert_v or_o be_v all_o the_o christian_n in_o all_o those_o church_n whole_o convert_v or_o convert_v all_o alike_o and_o yet_o the_o decree_n be_v general_o to_o be_v uniform_o keep_v of_o all_o those_o church_n yea_o what_o shall_v we_o say_v to_o the_o church_n of_o jerusalem_n itself_o where_o this_o decree_n be_v make_v be_v they_o all_o whole_o convert_v to_o christ_n no_o hypocrite_n nor_o yet_o weak_a brethren_n among_o they_o convert_v do_v not_o even_o the_o elder_n of_o jerusalem_n themselves_o bewray_v the_o great_a weakness_n of_o their_o multitude_n when_o as_o afterward_o act_n 21._o s._n paul_n come_v to_o jerusalem_n do_v they_o not_o say_v to_o paul_n vers_fw-la 20._o thou_o see_v brother_n how_o many_o thousand_o jew_n there_o be_v which_o believe_v and_o they_o all_o be_v earnest_a follower_n of_o the_o law_n etc._n etc._n and_o for_o these_o weak_a brethren_n sake_n they_o counceled_a s._n paul_n to_o purify_v himself_o be_v a_o jew_n according_a to_o the_o ceremony_n of_o the_o jew_n and_o although_o they_o know_v the_o christian_n liberty_n yet_o will_v they_o have_v s._n paul_n to_o avoid_v the_o offensive_a opinion_n that_o the_o multitude_n of_o the_o christian_n jew_n have_v conceyve_v of_o he_o to_o conform_v himself_o unto_o their_o weakness_n order_n and_o what_o shall_v we_o say_v to_o the_o other_o church_n of_o the_o gentile_n be_v all_o the_o christian_n in_o the_o church_n of_o corinthus_n whole_o convert_v to_o christ_n and_o yet_o notwithstanding_o s._n paul_n cease_v
not_o to_o prescribe_v unto_o they_o all_o alike_o some_o ceremonial_a constitution_n neither_o be_v the_o difference_n of_o their_o strength_n or_o weakness_n in_o their_o conversion_n to_o christ_n any_o breach_n or_o let_v to_o the_o uniformity_n of_o their_o observe_v the_o same_o but_o by_o this_o reason_n of_o our_o brethren_n there_o can_v be_v no_o uniformity_n of_o ceremony_n not_o only_o then_o with_o they_o or_o now_o with_o we_o uniformity_n in_o all_o place_n of_o the_o church_n and_o land_n of_o england_n but_o in_o no_o place_n in_o all_o the_o whole_a world_n for_o where_o be_v the_o whole_a land_n or_o church_n whole_o convert_v to_o christ_n if_o they_o say_v that_o by_o these_o word_n not_o whole_o convert_v they_o mean_v not_o all_o nor_o the_o great_a part_n but_o that_o some_o be_v not_o convert_v to_o christ_n then_o they_o confute_v their_o own_o reason_n in_o that_o the_o weakness_n of_o the_o lesser_a part_n aught_o to_o be_v no_o prejudice_n to_o the_o make_n of_o uniform_a ceremony_n unto_o the_o great_a part_n for_o the_o law_n consider_v rather_o the_o universal_a multitude_n than_o every_o particular_a party_n and_o so_o confess_v that_o our_o land_n god_n be_v praise_v for_o it_o be_v for_o the_o great_a part_n convert_v though_o not_o whole_o convert_v convert_v in_o respect_n of_o every_o person_n yet_o as_o the_o great_a part_n be_v common_o call_v by_o the_o name_n of_o the_o whole_a it_o may_v be_v well_o say_v also_o to_o be_v whole_o convert_v but_o what_o mean_v they_o hereby_o that_o our_o land_n be_v not_o yet_o whole_o convert_v to_o christ_n thereof_o they_o have_v confess_v in_o their_o preface_n unto_o this_o learned_a discourse_n that_o for_o the_o substance_n of_o religion_n it_o be_v now_o public_o maintain_v for_o our_o true_a &_o holy_a faith_n if_o any_o be_v not_o yet_o convert_v unto_o the_o whole_a truth_n thereof_o how_o do_v not_o this_o argument_n make_v the_o more_o for_o uniformity_n in_o they_o to_o christ_n convert_v both_o by_o reject_v all_o uniformity_n in_o those_o ceremonial_a constitution_n that_o both_o they_o and_o we_o agree_v upon_o to_o be_v good_a and_o lawful_a and_o also_o by_o reject_v all_o uniformity_n in_o any_o other_o that_o may_v be_v devise_v yea_o by_o this_o their_o rule_n we_o shall_v keep_v no_o uniformity_n in_o any_o of_o those_o ceremonial_a constitution_n that_o they_o themselves_o set_v forth_o unto_o we_o or_o be_v it_o lawful_a for_o they_o to_o press_v their_o ceremony_n upon_o we_o to_o be_v observe_v with_o uniformity_n and_o be_v it_o not_o more_o lawful_a for_o we_o have_v the_o law_n with_o we_o to_o do_v the_o like_a to_o they_o principle_n so_o long_o as_o we_o urge_v none_o nor_o otherwise_o than_o serve_v to_o order_n and_o to_o comeliness_n if_o we_o seem_v not_o so_o to_o they_o no_o more_o do_v they_o seem_v so_o to_o we_o and_o we_o hope_v and_o thank_v god_n that_o we_o be_v also_o even_o the_o great_a part_n and_o therefore_o may_v be_v call_v the_o whole_a that_o be_v we_o trust_v whole_o convert_v to_o christ_n christ._n whole_o i_o mean_v for_o substance_n of_o religion_n though_o in_o measure_n of_o faith_n and_o conversation_n of_o life_n there_o be_v none_o of_o we_o all_o nor_o yet_o of_o our_o brethren_n so_o whole_o convert_v but_o that_o the_o best_a of_o we_o all_o come_v short_a and_o oftentimes_o divert_v from_o christ_n and_o must_v still_o be_v fain_o to_o cry_v to_o christ_n convert_v i_o domine_fw-la &_o convertar_fw-la convert_v i_o lord_n and_o i_o shall_v be_v whole_o convert_v but_o will_v uniformity_n in_o those_o ceremony_n that_o be_v give_v to_o help_v and_o strengthen_v our_o weakness_n hinder_v our_o conversion_n unto_o christ_n yea_o rather_o how_o will_v they_o not_o great_o further_a it_o but_o now_o if_o we_o be_v not_o so_o whole_o convert_v to_o christ_n as_o we_o ought_v to_o be_v negligence_n although_o i_o confess_v negligence_n may_v be_v some_o part_n &_o too_o great_a a_o part_n the_o cause_n thereof_o yet_o i_o fear_v i_o our_o brethren_n too_o double_a diligence_n diligence_n in_o disturb_v the_o concord_n of_o the_o preacher_n whole_a state_n of_o the_o church_n in_o this_o our_o land_n yea_o give_v liberty_n to_o every_o particular_a church_n and_o withal_o by_o these_o their_o reason_n to_o every_o private_a person_n according_a as_o he_o or_o she_o be_v weak_a or_o strong_a to_o admit_v or_o reject_v all_o uniformity_n to_o alter_v and_o innovate_v as_o they_o fancy_n all_o such_o law_n and_o constitution_n of_o ceremonial_a rite_n &_o order_n as_o be_v by_o a_o lawful_a &_o godly_a synod_n of_o the_o church_n decree_v &_o by_o the_o authority_n of_o the_o civil_a christian_n magistrate_n confirm_v of_o this_o matter_n 121._o what_o order_n be_v most_o meet_a for_o diverse_a place_n to_o bring_v they_o to_o the_o obedience_n of_o christ_n what_o for_o the_o furtherance_n of_o they_o that_o be_v
