second_o difference_n mere_o legal_a and_o require_v the_o condition_n of_o work_n do_v only_o by_o the_o strength_n of_o nature_n command_v in_o the_o law_n and_o to_o be_v do_v according_a to_o the_o strict_a rule_n of_o god_n law_n and_o the_o work_n of_o nature_n or_o wrought_v by_o natural_a strength_n be_v proper_o call_v the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n rom._n 9_o 32._o and_o the_o promise_n in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n be_v not_o legal_a but_o mere_o evangelicall_a for_o the_o condition_n here_o be_v not_o of_o any_o work_n moral_a and_o natural_a but_o of_o faith_n in_o christ_n and_o of_o christ_n himself_o to_o be_v apprehend_v by_o faith_n last_o those_o particular_a promise_n they_o be_v partly_o evangelicall_a partly_o legal_a for_o the_o condition_n be_v of_o work_n which_o proceed_v from_o grace_n and_o regeneration_n and_o therefore_o of_o such_o work_v as_o in_o regard_n of_o their_o original_n may_v true_o be_v call_v evangelicall_a work_n but_o because_o the_o law_n moral_a be_v the_o rule_n of_o they_o in_o this_o respect_n they_o may_v also_o be_v call_v legal_a work_n three_o these_o promise_n differ_v in_o subject_n because_o difference_n three_o difference_n the_o promise_n in_o the_o covenant_n of_o work_n be_v propound_v to_o they_o which_o now_o after_o the_o breach_n of_o that_o first_o covenant_n of_o work_n lie_v man_n to_o receive_v grace_n therefore_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o gospel_n begin_v with_o the_o legal_a doctrine_n of_o work_n and_o of_o the_o law_n moral_a for_o the_o gospel_n shall_v preach_v and_o promise_v in_o vain_a righteousness_n and_o life_n to_o the_o believer_n if_o they_o be_v not_o first_o prepare_v by_o feel_v their_o own_o corruption_n and_o miserable_a condition_n to_o hear_v work_n be_v cancel_v and_o of_o none_o effect_v against_o they_o for_o which_o cause_n paul_n use_v these_o phrase_n we_o be_v not_o under_o the_o law_n we_o be_v dead_a to_o the_o law_n we_o be_v free_v from_o the_o law_n to_o wit_n either_o as_o touch_v justification_n or_o condemnation_n and_o look_v how_o far_o the_o covenant_n of_o work_n serve_v for_o their_o use_n which_o be_v in_o grace_n so_o far_o the_o law_n of_o work_n be_v in_o use_n for_o they_o and_o what_o use_v the_o believer_n have_v of_o the_o covenant_n of_o work_n we_o have_v already_o show_v again_o look_v how_o far_o forth_o the_o same_o moral_a law_n serve_v to_o give_v rule_n for_o the_o work_n of_o grace_n and_o attend_v not_o on_o the_o covenant_n of_o work_n but_o of_o grace_n and_o of_o the_o gospel_n so_o far_o it_o rest_v in_o use_n for_o the_o servant_n of_o christ_n for_o there_o be_v but_o one_o rule_n and_o law_n of_o all_o good_a work_n whatsoever_o whether_o they_o proceed_v from_o nature_n or_o from_o grace_n like_v as_o there_o be_v but_o one_o and_o the_o same_o justice_n of_o god_n ever_o like_o itself_o whereof_o the_o law_n of_o god_n be_v a_o very_a express_a image_n or_o a_o
