the_o letter_n of_o the_o text_n because_o the_o apostle_n give_v a_o toleration_n to_o eat_v all_o thing_n and_o yet_o the_o holy_a ghost_n act._n 15._o forbid_v the_o eat_n of_o blood_n and_o thing_n strangle_v etc._n etc._n in_o like_a manner_n say_v they_o must_v we_o restrain_v the_o word_n every_o day_n to_o be_v understand_v of_o every_o day_n but_o the_o sabbath_n to_o which_o i_o answer_v that_o the_o holy_a ghost_n have_v put_v a_o restriction_n upon_o the_o word_n every_o thing_n but_o neither_o christ_n the_o holy_a ghost_n nor_o the_o apostle_n have_v put_v a_o restriction_n upon_o this_o word_n every_o day_n therefore_o no_o mortal_a man_n ought_v to_o take_v that_o liberty_n to_o restrain_v the_o word_n of_o a_o text_n when_o the_o holy_a spirit_n do_v those_o moysaicall_a law_n which_o god_n make_v for_o the_o maintenance_n of_o the_o levitical_a priesthood_n and_o legal_a ministry_n and_o have_v not_o enjoin_v we_o how_o much_o or_o how_o little_a the_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n shall_v be_v allow_v do_v it_o therefore_o follow_v that_o we_o may_v choose_v whether_o we_o will_v allow_v they_o any_o thing_n or_o nothing_o in_o like_a manner_n it_o do_v not_o follow_v because_o christ_n have_v take_v away_o the_o moysaicall_a institution_n for_o the_o observation_n of_o day_n that_o therefore_o we_o may_v choose_v whether_o we_o will_v observe_v any_o day_n or_o any_o time_n for_o the_o worship_n and_o service_n of_o god_n but_o to_o this_o it_o be_v object_v that_o though_o christ_n have_v take_v away_o that_o kind_n of_o maintenance_n yet_o he_o have_v ordain_v that_o they_o which_o preach_v the_o gospel_n shall_v live_v of_o the_o gospel_n 1_o cor._n 9.1_o i_o answer_v in_o like_a manner_n that_o though_o he_o have_v take_v away_o those_o moysaicall_a observation_n of_o day_n and_o time_n yet_o we_o be_v under_o a_o command_n to_o observe_v a_o time_n to_o worship_n as_o well_o as_o a_o maintenance_n for_o minister_n my_o reason_n be_v first_o because_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n have_v teach_v all_o people_n to_o set_v apart_o some_o time_n to_o worship_n and_o serve_v their_o god_n for_o if_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n do_v enjoin_v man_n to_o worship_n it_o do_v also_o enjoin_v they_o to_o observe_v some_o time_n in_o which_o they_o ought_v to_o worship_n after_o this_o manner_n the_o apostle_n argue_v in_o the_o forecited_a scripture_n for_o the_o maintenance_n of_o the_o gospel-ministery_n show_v that_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n teach_v that_o they_o which_o plant_v a_o vineyard_n ought_v to_o eat_v of_o the_o fruit_n thereof_o and_o that_o they_o which_o plough_n shall_v plough_v in_o hope_n to_o be_v partaker_n of_o their_o hope_n the_o like_a reason_n if_o not_o much_o great_a he_o urge_v why_o they_o that_o sow_v spiritual_a thing_n shall_v partake_v of_o temporal_a thing_n so_o that_o though_o god_n have_v free_v we_o from_o that_o maintenance_n of_o minister_n and_o that_o place_n of_o worship_n that_o be_v command_v in_o the_o law_n yet_o there_o remain_v a_o moral_a obligation_n upon_o we_o to_o observe_v some_o place_n to_o worship_n god_n in_o and_o also_o to_o provide_v a_o competent_a maintenance_n for_o those_o that_o administer_v spiritual_a thing_n unto_o we_o in_o like_a manner_n there_o remain_v a_o moral_a obligation_n upon_o we_o to_o observe_v a_o time_n to_o worship_n god_n though_o we_o be_v free_v from_o all_o those_o day_n and_o time_n that_o the_o law_n of_o moses_n command_v his_o disciple_n to_o observe_v but_o 2._o this_o do_v not_o only_o appear_v from_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n but_o from_o the_o scripture_n also_o which_o command_n that_o we_o shall_v not_o forsake_v the_o assemble_v of_o ourselves_o together_o as_o the_o manner_n of_o some_o be_v heb._n 10.25_o now_o if_o we_o must_v frequent_v the_o assembly_n of_o god_n people_n than_o we_o must_v observe_v a_o time_n to_o worship_n or_o else_o we_o can_v observe_v the_o duty_n that_o be_v here_o enjoin_v for_o if_o we_o may_v choose_v whether_o we_o will_v observe_v any_o time_n of_o worship_n as_o the_o objection_n vain_o suppose_v than_o we_o can_v perform_v this_o duty_n of_o frequent_v the_o assembly_n of_o the_o saint_n which_o appear_v be_v a_o duty_n not_o only_o command_v but_o practise_v in_o the_o new_a testament_n jam._n 2.2_o act._n 11.26_o 1_o cor._n 11.20_o 1_o cor._n 14.23_o in_o all_o which_o text_n we_o be_v inform_v of_o the_o whole_a church_n meet_v together_o in_o one_o place_n according_a as_o they_o be_v require_v which_o they_o can_v not_o have_v do_v have_v they_o not_o agree_v upon_o the_o place_n where_o and_o a_o time_n when_o to_o meet_v together_o so_o that_o if_o christian_n must_v meet_v together_o to_o worship_n god_n they_o must_v also_o observe_v a_o time_n in_o order_n thereunto_o and_o as_o i_o have_v show_v that_o a_o time_n and_o place_n ought_v to_o be_v observe_v for_o god_n worship_n i_o shall_v in_o the_o last_o place_n show_v that_o the_o first_o day_n of_o the_o week_n ought_v rather_o to_o be_v observe_v then_o any_o other_o day_n and_o that_o because_o the_o church_n of_o christ_n have_v enjoin_v we_o to_o observe_v that_o time_n for_o public_a worship_n therefore_o that_o time_n ought_v rather_o to_o be_v observe_v then_o another_o for_o we_o be_v bind_v to_o hear_v the_o church_n of_o christ_n in_o all_o thing_n that_o she_o command_v we_o to_o observe_v provide_v that_o the_o church_n do_v command_v nothing_o contrary_a to_o the_o command_n of_o christ_n now_o that_o the_o church_n do_v not_o command_v any_o thing_n contrary_a &_o the_o command_n of_o christ_n in_o command_v we_o to_o observe_v the_o first_o day_n of_o the_o week_n appear_v
