of_o christ_n but_o you_o show_v forth_o the_o lord_n death_n so_o i_o acknowledge_v that_o this_o ceremony_n by_o those_o that_o practise_v it_o have_v a_o immediate_a relation_n to_o the_o outward_a body_n and_o death_n of_o christ_n upon_o the_o cross_n as_o be_v proper_o a_o memorial_n of_o it_o but_o it_o do_v not_o thence_o follow_v that_o it_o have_v any_o inward_a or_o immediate_a relation_n to_o believer_n communicate_v or_o partake_v of_o the_o spiritual_a body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n or_o that_o spiritual_a supper_n speak_v of_o rev._n 3.20_o for_o though_o in_o a_o general_a way_n as_o every_o religious_a action_n in_o some_o respect_n have_v a_o common_a relation_n to_o the_o spiritual_a communion_n of_o the_o saint_n with_o god_n so_o we_o shall_v not_o deny_v therein_o and_o to_o propagate_v their_o wickedness_n to_o the_o impoison_n of_o other_o see_v there_o be_v other_o innocent_a divertisement_n which_o may_v sufficient_o serve_v for_o relaxation_n to_o the_o mind_n such_o as_o for_o friend_n to_o visit_v one_o another_o to_o hear_v or_o read_v history_n to_o speak_v sober_o of_o the_o present_a or_o past_a transaction_n to_o follow_v after_o gardnering_n to_o use_v geometrical_a and_o mathematical_a experiment_n and_o such_o other_o thing_n of_o this_o nature_n in_o all_o which_o thing_n we_o be_v not_o to_o forget_v god_n in_o who_o we_o both_o live_v and_o be_v move_v act_v 10.26_o as_o not_o to_o have_v always_o some_o secret_a reserve_n to_o he_o and_o sense_n of_o his_o fear_n and_o presence_n which_o also_o frequent_o exert_v itself_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o these_o thing_n by_o some_o short_a aspiration_n and_o breathe_n and_o that_o this_o may_v neither_o seem_v strange_a nor_o troublesome_a i_o shall_v clear_v it_o by_o one_o manifest_a instance_n answerable_a to_o the_o experience_n of_o all_o man_n it_o will_v not_o be_v deny_v but_o that_o man_n ought_v to_o be_v more_o in_o the_o love_n of_o god_n than_o of_o any_o other_o thing_n for_o we_o ought_v to_o love_n god_n above_o all_o thing_n now_o it_o be_v plain_a that_o man_n that_o be_v take_v with_o love_n whether_o it_o be_v of_o a_o woman_n or_o any_o other_o thing_n if_o it_o have_v take_v a_o deep_a place_n in_o the_o heart_n and_o possess_v the_o mind_n it_o will_v be_v hard_a for_o the_o man_n so_o in_o love_n to_o drive_v out_o of_o his_o mind_n the_o person_n or_o thing_n so_o love_v yea_o in_o his_o eat_n drink_v and_o sleep_v his_o mind_n will_v always_o have_v a_o tendency_n that_o way_n and_o in_o business_n or_o recreation_n however_o intent_n he_o be_v in_o it_o there_o will_v but_o a_o very_a short_a time_n be_v permit_v to_o pass_v but_o the_o mind_n will_v let_v some_o ejaculation_n forth_o towards_o its_o belove_a and_o albeit_o such_o a_o one_o must_v be_v conversant_a in_o those_o thing_n that_o the_o care_n of_o this_o body_n and_o such_o like_a thing_n call_v for_o yet_o will_v he_o avoid_v as_o death_n itself_o to_o do_v those_o thing_n that_o may_v offend_v the_o party_n so_o belove_v or_o cross_v his_o design_n in_o obtain_v the_o thing_n so_o earnest_o desire_v though_o there_o may_v be_v some_o small_a use_n in_o they_o the_o great_a design_n which_o be_v chief_o in_o his_o eye_n will_v so_o balance_v he_o that_o he_o will_v easy_o look_v over_o and_o dispense_v with_o such_o petty_a necessity_n rather_o than_o endanger_v the_o loss_n of_o the_o great_a by_o they_o now_o that_o man_n ought_v to_o be_v thus_o in_o love_n with_o god_n and_o the_o life_n to_o come_v none_o will_v deny_v and_o the_o thing_n be_v apparent_a from_o these_o scripture_n matth._n 6.20_o but_o lay_v up_o for_o yourselves_o treasure_n in_o heaven_n col._n 3.2_o set_a your_o affection_n on_o thing_n above_o etc._n etc._n and_o that_o this_o have_v be_v the_o experience_n and_o attainment_n of_o some_o the_o scripture_n also_o declare_v psal._n 63.1.84_o 2_o cor._n 5.14_o and_o again_o that_o these_o game_n sport_n play_n dancing_z comedy_n etc._n etc._n do_v natural_o tend_v to_o draw_v man_n from_o god_n fear_n to_o make_v they_o forget_v heaven_n death_n and_o judgement_n to_o foster_v lust_n vanity_n and_o wontonness_n and_o therefore_o be_v most_o love_v as_o well_o as_o use_v by_o such_o kind_n of_o person_n experience_n abundant_o show_v and_o the_o most_o serious_a and_o conscientious_a among_o all_o will_v scarce_o deny_v which_o if_o it_o be_v so_o the_o application_n be_v easy_a §_o x._o five_o the_o use_n of_o swear_v be_v to_o be_v consider_v which_o be_v so_o frequent_o practise_v almost_o among_o all_o christian_n not_o only_o profane_a oath_n among_o the_o profane_a in_o their_o common_a discourse_n whereby_o the_o most_o holy_a name_n of_o god_n be_v in_o a_o horrible_a manner_n daily_o blaspheme_v but_o also_o solemn_a oath_n with_o those_o that_o have_v some_o show_n of_o piety_n whereof_o the_o most_o part_n do_v defend_v swear_v before_o the_o magistrate_n with_o so_o great_a zeal_n that_o not_o only_o they_o be_v ready_a themselves_o to_o do_v it_o upon_o every_o occasion_n but_o also_o stir_v up_o the_o magistrate_n to_o persecute_v those_o who_o out_o of_o obedience_n to_o christ_n their_o lord_n and_o master_n judge_v it_o unlawful_a to_o swear_v upon_o which_o account_v not_o a_o few_o have_v suffer_v imprisonment_n and_o the_o spoil_n of_o their_o good_n but_o consider_v these_o clear_a word_n of_o our_o saviour_n matth._n 5.33_o 34._o again_o you_o have_v hear_v that_o it_o have_v be_v say_v by_o they_o of_o old_a
