maintain_v any_o fort_n garrison_n or_o strength_n to_o make_v peace_n or_o war_n or_o to_o make_v any_o treaty_n or_o league_n with_o foreigner_n or_o among_o themselves_o without_o his_o majesty_n authority_n first_o interpon_v thereto_o that_o it_o be_v unlawful_a to_o the_o subject_n of_o whatsoever_o quality_n or_o function_n to_o convocat_n conveen_v or_o assemble_v themselves_o for_o hold_v of_o council_n convention_n and_o assembly_n to_o treat_v consult_v and_o determine_v in_o any_o matter_n of_o state_n civil_a or_o ecclesiastic_a except_o in_o the_o ordinary_a judgement_n or_o to_o make_v league_n or_o bond_n upon_o whatsoever_o colour_n or_o pretence_n without_o his_o majesty_n special_a consent_n and_o approbation_n have_v thereunto_o that_o the_o league_n and_o covenant_n and_o all_o treaty_n follow_v thereupon_o and_o act_n or_o deed_n that_o do_v or_o may_v relate_v thereunto_o be_v not_o obligatory_a nor_o do_v infer_v any_o obligation_n upon_o this_o act_n concern_v the_o judicial_a proceed_n in_o the_o time_n of_o the_o late_a usurper_n forasmuch_o since_o the_o year_n of_o god_n one_o thousand_o six_o hundred_o and_o fifty_o one_o the_o late_a usurper_n do_v take_v upon_o they_o to_o establish_v judicatories_n superior_a and_o inferior_a within_o this_o nation_n as_o judge_n for_o administration_n of_o justice_n in_o place_n of_o the_o judicatory_a of_o the_o session_n former_o establish_v by_o law_n commissioner_n for_o the_o admiralty_n sheriff_n of_o shire_n commissar_n justice_n of_o peace_n and_o other_o inferior_a court_n in_o which_o court_n the_o people_n do_v in_o name_n of_o the_o usurper_n or_o under_o the_o notion_n of_o the_o keeper_n of_o the_o liberty_n prosecute_v and_o defend_v their_o several_a cause_n and_o interest_n these_o many_o year_n past_a and_o his_o majesty_n consider_v that_o the_o matter_n agitate_v pursue_v and_o conclude_v be_v for_o the_o most_o part_n thing_n of_o course_n belong_v to_o the_o ordinary_a judicatory_n former_o establish_v in_o this_o kingdom_n and_o be_v unwilling_a that_o the_o people_n shall_v be_v put_v to_o any_o further_a trouble_n where_o matter_n have_v be_v act_v and_o case_n determine_v according_a to_o law_n therefore_o his_o majesty_n with_o consent_n of_o the_o estate_n of_o parliament_n declare_v that_o all_o and_o whatsoever_o act_n interloquiter_n decreet_n and_o sentence_n make_v pronounce_v and_o give_v forth_o by_o the_o said_n court_n superior_a and_o inferior_a with_o all_o execution_n thereupon_o and_o all_o execution_n by_o horning_n inhibition_n caption_n comprise_v poind_v and_o other_o to_o have_v be_v and_o to_o be_v valid_a and_o stand_v in_o full_a force_n notwithstanding_o of_o the_o unlawfulness_n of_o the_o authority_n tuesday_n of_o august_n the_o last_o tuesday_n of_o october_n and_o the_o first_o tuesday_n of_o march_n in_o which_o session_n they_o shall_v administrate_n justice_n to_o the_o people_n in_o thing_n that_o be_v within_o their_o jurisdiction_n and_o punish_v the_o guilty_a for_o fault_n and_o crime_n do_v and_o commit_v in_o the_o precede_a quarter_n and_o by_o mutual_a and_o conjunct_a advice_n say_a complainer_n always_o give_v his_o oath_n before_o the_o justice_n that_o he_o have_v just_a cause_n to_o dread_v he_o harm_n and_o albeit_o no_o person_n complain_v yet_o if_o the_o justice_n justice_n of_o peace_n shall_v refuse_v or_o delay_v without_o cause_n if_o the_o party_n be_v a_o land_a gentleman_n who_o rent_n exceed_v ten_o chalder_n of_o victual_n or_o one_o thousand_o mark_n of_o silver_n than_o the_o justice_n who_o command_n be_v contemn_v shall_v inform_v the_o same_o to_o some_o of_o his_o majesty_n privy_a council_n to_o the_o effect_n the_o party_n of_o the_o quality_n foresay_a may_v be_v call_v and_o fine_v for_o his_o disobedience_n and_o if_o the_o dissobeyer_n be_v of_o a_o mean_a degree_n the_o justice_n of_o peace_n shall_v hereby_o have_v power_n to_o command_v the_o next_o constable_n or_o in_o absence_n of_o a_o constable_n his_o own_o servant_n or_o any_o other_o person_n have_v a_o warrant_n in_o writ_n subscribe_v by_o the_o say_a justice_n of_o peace_n with_o assistance_n of_o the_o country_n to_o bring_v any_o such_o party_n before_o he_o if_o either_o the_o sheriff_n or_o baily_n shall_v condemn_v any_o person_n in_o quality_n of_o the_o crime_n and_o the_o estate_n of_o the_o offender_n and_o if_o any_o of_o the_o say_n person_n be_v charge_v to_o compear_v before_o the_o said_n justice_n shall_v disobey_v the_o summons_n be_v endorse_v the_o lawful_a citation_n verify_v and_o fact_n prove_v the_o justice_n shall_v punish_v and_o fine_v the_o not_o compear_v according_a to_o the_o quality_n of_o the_o crime_n those_o person_n who_o be_v common_o call_v egyptian_n and_o they_o shall_v punish_v and_o fine_a their_o ressetter_n and_o setter_n of_o house_n to_o they_o according_o by_o such_o competent_a pain_n grant_v thereof_o but_o upon_o consignation_n of_o the_o sum_n contain_v in_o the_o sentence_n and_o by_o find_v caution_n for_o payment_n of_o the_o charge_n at_o the_o modification_n of_o the_o say_n lord_n the_o say_n commissioner_n at_o the_o end_n of_o every_o quarter_n session_n shall_v send_v to_o his_o majesty_n council_n a_o catalogue_n of_o all_o such_o person_n as_o they_o have_v
