prove_v that_o those_o kind_n of_o healing_n be_v of_o the_o devil_n mat._n yea_o indeed_o and_o that_o most_o easy_o for_o god_n use_v only_o two_o way_n to_o the_o cure_n of_o disease_n whereof_o one_o be_v natural_a and_o ordinary_a namely_o by_o the_o help_n of_o medicine_n whereinto_o he_o have_v put_v that_o virtue_n &_o force_n the_o other_o be_v beside_o the_o course_n of_o nature_n miraculous_a when_o god_n himself_o do_v it_o by_o his_o own_o power_n but_o that_o way_n of_o heal_v by_o rehearse_v word_n of_o the_o holy_a scripture_n can_v be_v call_v ordinary_a or_o natural_a for_o as_o much_o as_o the_o word_n of_o god_n be_v not_o give_v to_o heal_v body_n but_o soul_n neither_o can_v it_o be_v reckon_v among_o the_o miracle_n which_o proceed_v from_o the_o power_n of_o god_n for_o the_o power_n of_o god_n be_v not_o tie_v to_o the_o utter_n of_o certain_a word_n notwithstanding_o they_o be_v very_o good_a or_o else_o there_o be_v not_o any_o which_o may_v not_o do_v miracle_n at_o his_o pleasure_n which_o in_o very_a deed_n be_v most_o absurd_a for_o thereupon_o it_o shall_v follow_v that_o god_n declare_v his_o power_n not_o according_a to_o his_o own_o will_n but_o according_a to_o our_o pleasure_n therefore_o no_o man_n ought_v to_o doubt_v but_o that_o these_o kind_n of_o healing_n be_v of_o the_o devil_n and_o not_o of_o god_n theoph._n they_o object_n that_o it_o be_v not_o like_a that_o the_o devil_n the_o enemy_n of_o mankind_n shall_v regard_v and_o care_n for_o the_o good_a health_n of_o man_n mat._n that_o which_o traitor_n and_o poisoner_n be_v wont_a to_o do_v namely_o to_o flatter_v thou_o for_o a_o time_n to_o the_o end_n they_o may_v afterward_o lay_v hand_n upon_o thou_o the_o
deserve_v somewhat_o matth._n it_o follow_v not_o for_o that_o reward_n proceed_v of_o his_o mere_a grace_n and_o undeserued_a favour_n without_o any_o desert_n of_o we_o theoph._n do_v thou_o take_v be_v equal_a or_o as_o much_o worth_n as_o the_o thing_n that_o we_o seek_v to_o deserve_v if_o but_o any_o one_o of_o these_o condition_n fail_v it_o can_v be_v no_o merit_n or_o desert_n how_o much_o less_o therefore_o if_o they_o be_v all_o want_v together_o but_o they_o be_v want_v in_o all_o our_o good_a work_n theoph._n declare_v that_o unto_o i_o one_o after_o another_o particular_o matth._n work_n of_o 〈◊〉_d perfection_n 〈◊〉_d our_o work_n the_o cause_n have_v be_v declare_v already_o before_o namely_o for_o that_o there_o can_v be_v no_o good_a thing_n do_v of_o we_o that_o be_v not_o unclean_a and_o defile_v for_o as_o the_o most_o pure_a water_n if_o it_o run_v through_o a_o unclean_a conduit_n be_v corrupt_v with_o the_o stink_n of_o it_o so_o the_o good_a work_n that_o god_n work_v in_o we_o be_v soil_v and_o stain_v with_o the_o filthiness_n of_o our_o flesh_n therefore_o even_o as_o the_o promise_n of_o reward_n be_v altogether_o free_a and_o without_o respect_n of_o any_o desert_n so_o be_v the_o fulfil_n of_o that_o promise_n theoph._n why_o therefore_o do_v god_n promise_v reward_n to_o our_o work_n which_o he_o may_v by_o right_o require_v of_o we_o mat._n that_o that_o promise_n may_v be_v as_o a_o spur_n unto_o we_o by_o the_o which_o we_o may_v be_v drive_v forward_o to_o the_o desire_n and_o do_v of_o they_o and_o that_o indeed_o not_o without_o cause_n for_o we_o be_v by_o our_o nature_n very_o slack_a unto_o they_o theoph._n there_o be_v one_o thing_n behind_o which_o i_o will_v demand_v of_o thou_o namely_o concern_v that_o which_o be_v say_v of_o thou_o before_o that_o the_o obedience_n which_o be_v undertake_v upon_o hope_n of_o reward_n be_v not_o acceptable_a unto_o god_n mat._n this_o also_o be_v indeed_o true_a if_o that_o affection_n reign_n in_o we_o as_o it_o do_v in_o the_o unfaithful_a howbeit_o it_o shall_v not_o hurt_v so_o as_o the_o love_n and_o fear_n of_o god_n go_v before_o if_o we_o be_v allure_v and_o draw_v on_o to_o his_o service_n by_o the_o hope_n and_o look_v for_o of_o the_o reward_n and_o on_o the_o other_o side_n be_v keep_v and_o hold_v from_o disobey_v he_o by_o the_o heaven_n we_o shall_v know_v god_n perfect_o whereby_o we_o shall_v be_v stir_v up_o to_o obey_v he_o perfect_o but_o because_o there_o be_v always_o behind_o in_o we_o something_o not_o regenerate_v
