dishonesty_n he_o contemn_v and_o nothing_o regard_v first_o and_o principal_o therefore_o whereas_o he_o place_v felicity_n in_o the_o dignity_n &_o worthiness_n of_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n so_o follow_v consequent_o except_o they_o will_v wrest_v the_o truth_n from_o we_o by_o violence_n and_o tell_v we_o that_o sense_n be_v deceive_v in_o thing_n most_o clear_a and_o evident_a that_o no_o man_n be_v he_o never_o so_o wise_a can_v attain_v felicity_n in_o trouble_n and_o vexation_n of_o body_n for_o if_o we_o want_v our_o sense_n and_o that_o our_o body_n itself_o be_v not_o of_o our_o nature_n than_o a_o man_n of_o mean_a perceiverance_n may_v be_v persuade_v that_o he_o who_o body_n be_v torment_v with_o fire_n be_v nevertheless_o happy_a but_o where_o as_o we_o consist_v of_o body_n and_o soul_n how_o can_v we_o during_o this_o life_n suppose_v that_o to_o be_v felicity_n which_o have_v regard_n only_o to_o one_o part_n of_o we_o and_o in_o miserable_a distress_n leave_v the_o other_o especial_o whereas_o by_o the_o necessary_a operation_n of_o nature_n when_o the_o body_n feel_v pain_n the_o mind_n suffer_v the_o same_o therefore_o man_n of_o great_a wisdom_n and_o judgement_n have_v not_o affirm_v without_o great_a consideration_n that_o the_o appetite_n of_o anger_n and_o desire_n have_v be_v ingraff_v in_o our_o mind_n for_o two_o cause_n that_o the_o mind_n themselves_o shall_v have_v good_a regard_n to_o preserve_v those_o body_n who_o guide_n and_o keeper_n they_o ought_v to_o be_v that_o be_v to_o wit_n that_o they_o shall_v by_o desire_n for_o therefore_o be_v it_o that_o our_o mind_n be_v not_o satisfy_v with_o those_o good_a thing_n that_o happen_v in_o this_o life_n because_o all_o thing_n here_o be_v of_o no_o estimation_n and_o streyght_v into_o a_o narrow_a compass_n in_o comparison_n of_o those_o which_o we_o through_o a_o secret_a work_n and_o inclination_n of_o nature_n be_v prone_a to_o desire_v but_o to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o those_o good_a thing_n which_o only_o be_v account_v the_o chief_a and_o by_o all_o mean_v possible_o to_o be_v desire_v two_o way_n there_o be_v that_o may_v conduct_v we_o first_o of_o all_o the_o very_a desire_n of_o the_o mind_n itself_o will_v open_v unto_o we_o plain_o what_o it_o be_v then_o our_o birth_n and_o the_o consideration_n of_o our_o generation_n will_v more_o the_o body_n hunt_v after_o with_o all_o diligence_n and_o pain_n nothing_o else_o but_o thing_n transitory_a and_o appertain_v to_o their_o bodily_a substance_n but_o they_o that_o see_v somewhat_o although_o through_o a_o mist_n think_v not_o the_o desire_a end_n of_o man_n life_n to_o consist_v in_o thing_n subject_v to_o inconstancy_n and_o mutability_n but_o rather_o in_o the_o quality_n and_o riches_n of_o the_o mind_n in_o this_o point_n true_o they_o say_v well_o but_o let_v we_o understand_v what_o quality_n and_o riches_n they_o mean_v if_o those_o which_o be_v borrow_v and_o derive_v from_o no_o other_o but_o of_o god_n almighty_a and_o be_v by_o his_o grace_n pour_v into_o our_o heart_n nay_o remain_v always_o in_o god_n himself_o in_o this_o opinion_n there_o be_v no_o odds_n betwixt_o they_o and_o we_o but_o if_o they_o defend_v this_o learning_n the_o felicity_n consist_v in_o the_o virtue_n of_o the_o mind_n which_o through_o the_o study_n &_o diligence_n of_o glory_n if_o therefore_o true_a felicity_n and_o the_o end_n of_o our_o life_n be_v to_o be_v fix_v in_o the_o cause_n and_o giver_n of_o life_n there_o be_v no_o man_n so_o blind_a or_o self-willed_a
