quality_n lation_n or_o local_a motion_n about_o place_n he_o can_v find_v none_o of_o these_o in_o this_o house_n neither_o in_o its_o substance_n quantity_n quality_n place_n but_o the_o motion_n show_v it_o thus_o for_o as_o sense_n tell_v i_o when_o i_o see_v direct_o the_o colour_n seem_v to_o be_v in_o the_o object_n so_o also_o sense_n tell_v i_o when_o i_o see_v by_o reflection_n that_o colour_n be_v not_o in_o the_o object_n sect._n 10._o reflection_n first_o of_o all_o observe_v that_o if_o this_o be_v true_a yet_o be_v but_o a_o particular_a instance_n he_o can_v deduce_v that_o general_a conclusion_n out_o of_o it_o concern_v all_o sight_n much_o less_o concern_v all_o other_o sense_n then_o observe_v upon_o a_o direct_a sight_n he_o put_v only_o a_o seem_a to_o be_v in_o mistake_v the_o distance_n of_o the_o moon_n from_o the_o earth_n the_o bigness_n of_o the_o star_n but_o then_o beside_o these_o common_a object_n there_o be_v other_o which_o be_v objectum_fw-la per_fw-la accidens_fw-la as_o logician_n a_o object_n not_o out_o of_o its_o own_o nature_n affect_v that_o act_n or_o faculty_n in_o its_o self_n but_o by_o reason_n of_o some_o other_o thing_n to_o which_o it_o be_v annex_v or_o happen_v to_o be_v join_v so_o we_o may_v say_v we_o see_v socrates_n or_o plato_n when_o we_o see_v they_o not_o but_o their_o colour_n and_o that_o colour_n of_o they_o be_v the_o only_a thing_n by_o which_o they_o be_v discern_v by_o sight_n now_o there_o be_v mighty_a mistake_n in_o our_o sense_n concern_v these_o so_o when_o we_o see_v one_o man_n clothes_n wear_v by_o another_o we_o think_v he_o at_o the_o first_o to_o be_v the_o man_n who_o clothes_n he_o wear_v so_o when_o we_o see_v that_o man_n to_o have_v a_o red_a who_o have_v a_o pale_a face_n we_o think_v he_o not_o the_o same_o man_n my_o opinion_n of_o this_o mistake_n be_v because_o although_o the_o vision_n of_o the_o colour_n be_v a_o act_n of_o sight_n yet_o the_o apply_v that_o colour_n to_o the_o person_n seem_v to_o be_v a_o act_n of_o reason_n a_o work_n out_o of_o the_o reach_n of_o pure_a sense_n it_o this_o by_o the_o way_n of_o explication_n to_o make_v all_o plain_a that_o the_o reader_n may_v the_o full_a apprehend_v my_o answer_n to_o this_o objection_n punctual_o than_o i_o answer_v first_o that_o there_o be_v no_o such_o judgement_n of_o sense_n as_o to_o say_v that_o colour_n be_v not_o in_o the_o object_n for_o although_o sense_n perhaps_o can_v only_o discern_v the_o colour_n in_o the_o glass_n yet_o sense_n meddle_v not_o with_o that_o question_n whether_o the_o same_o colour_n can_v be_v in_o two_o subject_n much_o less_o whether_o this_o be_v a_o real_a colour_n in_o the_o glass_n or_o whether_o a_o intentional_a or_o whether_o it_o be_v in_o the_o glass_n or_o not_o but_o if_o it_o do_v meddle_v with_o this_o last_o yet_o in_o that_o speech_n which_o say_v it_o be_v in_o the_o glass_n sense_n meddle_v beyond_o its_o sphere_n it_o judge_v in_o a_o cause_n which_o belong_v not_o to_o its_o judicature_n that_o may_v be_v dispute_v by_o reason_n between_o he_o and_o i_o and_o sense_n may_v give_v in_o evidence_n concern_v what_o
