name_n of_o any_o thing_n we_o conceive_v no_o more_o than_o we_o ascribe_v unto_o he_o sense_n and_o understanding_n but_o as_o a_o signification_n of_o our_o reverence_n we_o desire_v to_o abstract_n from_o he_o all_o corporal_a grossness_n 5._o concerning_o other_o thing_n which_o some_o man_n call_v spirit_n incorporeal_a and_o some_o corporeal_a it_o be_v not_o possible_a by_o natural_a mean_n only_o to_o come_v to_o knowledge_n of_o so_o much_o as_o that_o there_o be_v such_o thing_n we_o that_o be_v christian_n acknowledge_v that_o there_o be_v angel_n good_a and_o evil_a and_o that_o there_o be_v spirit_n and_o that_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n be_v a_o spirit_n and_o that_o those_o spirit_n be_v immortal_a but_o to_o know_v it_o that_o be_v to_o say_v to_o have_v natural_a evidence_n of_o the_o same_o it_o be_v impossible_a for_o all_o evidence_n be_v conception_n as_o it_o be_v say_v chap._n 6._o sect._n 3._o and_o all_o conception_n be_v imagination_n and_o proceed_v from_o sense_n chap._n 3._o sect._n 1._o and_o spirit_n we_o suppose_v to_o be_v those_o substance_n which_o work_v not_o upon_o the_o sense_n and_o therefore_o not_o conceptible_a but_o though_o the_o scripture_n acknowledge_v spirit_n yet_o do_v it_o nowhere_o say_v that_o they_o be_v incorporeal_a mean_v thereby_o without_o dimension_n and_o quality_n nor_o i_o think_v be_v that_o word_n incorporeal_a at_o all_o in_o the_o bible_n but_o it_o be_v say_v of_o the_o spirit_n that_o it_o abide_v in_o man_n sometime_o that_o it_o dwell_v in_o they_o sometime_o that_o it_o come_v on_o they_o that_o it_o descend_v and_o go_v and_o come_v and_o that_o spirit_n be_v angel_n that_o be_v to_o say_v messenger_n all_o which_o word_n do_v imply_v locality_n and_o locality_n be_v dimension_n and_o whatsoever_o have_v dimension_n be_v body_n be_v it_o never_o so_o subtle_a to_o i_o therefore_o it_o seem_v that_o the_o scripture_n favour_v they_o more_o who_o hold_v angel_n and_o spirit_n corporeal_a than_o they_o that_o hold_v the_o contrary_a and_o it_o be_v a_o plain_a contradiction_n in_o natural_a discourse_n to_o say_v of_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n that_o it_o be_v tota_fw-la in_fw-la toto_fw-la and_o tota_fw-la in_fw-la qualibet_fw-la parte_fw-la corporis_fw-la ground_v neither_o upon_o reason_n nor_o revelation_n but_o proceed_v from_o the_o ignorance_n of_o
