ignorance_n of_o many_o even_o in_o matter_n of_o salvation_n together_o with_o the_o daily_a dishonour_n of_o god_n by_o ungodly_a life_n and_o on_o the_o other_o side_n the_o divine_a doctrine_n and_o most_o wholesome_a exhortation_n which_o these_o sermon_n contain_v i_o be_v more_o forcible_o stir_v up_o thereunto_o and_o think_v that_o the_o painful_a peruse_n of_o they_o and_o fruitful_a follow_a of_o that_o whereof_o they_o entreat_v will_v be_v a_o sovereign_a salve_n to_o help_v to_o cure_v such_o dangerous_a disease_n for_o by_o they_o may_v they_o learn_v to_o know_v one_o only_o true_a god_n and_o who_o he_o have_v send_v jesus_n christ_n and_o the_o infinite_a riches_n which_o be_v comprise_v in_o he_o and_o offer_v unto_o we_o through_o he_o of_o god_n his_o father_n that_o that_o they_o which_o enjoy_v he_o receive_v not_o one_o gift_n alone_o as_o with_o solomon_n wisdom_n with_o samson_n strength_n with_o job_n patience_n with_o paul_n zeal_n &c_n &c_n but_o for_o poverty_n they_o receive_v riches_n for_o weakness_n strength_n for_o folly_n wisdom_n for_o servitude_n freedom_n for_o grief_n joy_n for_o sin_n righteousness_n for_o death_n life_n yea_o all_o good_a thing_n whatsoever_o wherefore_o if_o the_o faithful_a man_n be_v press_v with_o poverty_n he_o may_v here_o learn_v that_o by_o christ_n he_o be_v adopt_v to_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o so_o may_v be_v comfort_v say_v to_o himself_o how_o can_v he_o be_v poor_a which_o have_v god_n to_o his_o father_n who_o both_o be_v able_a to_o give_v all_o thing_n necessary_a for_o his_o himself_o weakness_n he_o may_v learn_v here_o that_o he_o be_v not_o able_a of_o himself_o to_o attain_v unto_o strength_n but_o that_o it_o be_v the_o gift_n of_o christ_n who_o strengthen_v such_o as_o believe_v in_o he_o &_o so_o may_v be_v stir_v up_o by_o hearty_a prayer_n to_o ask_v the_o same_o of_o he_o that_o he_o will_v vouchsafe_v by_o his_o holy_a spirit_n to_o strengthen_v and_o confirm_v he_o that_o he_o may_v be_v able_a to_o perform_v that_o by_o grace_n which_o by_o nature_n and_o of_o himself_o he_o shall_v never_o be_v able_a to_o do_v as_o mighty_o to_o subdue_v the_o rebellious_a flesh_n strong_o to_o resist_v and_o at_o the_o last_o valiant_o to_o overcome_v the_o tentation_n of_o satan_n patient_o to_o bear_v the_o trouble_n of_o the_o world_n and_o constant_o to_o contemn_v the_o allurement_n of_o the_o same_o moreover_o if_o he_o thirst_v after_o divine_a and_o heavenly_a wisdom_n which_o be_v to_o know_v god_n aright_o and_o those_o thing_n that_o be_v necessary_a to_o be_v know_v to_o the_o attain_n of_o salvation_n he_o may_v find_v here_o large_o and_o lively_o set_v forth_o that_o christ_n come_v his_o father_n ambassador_n and_o messenger_n to_o man_n that_o by_o he_o they_o may_v be_v bring_v to_o the_o right_a knowledge_n of_o god_n and_o into_o all_o truth_n so_o that_o by_o he_o we_o be_v enlighten_v with_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n by_o he_o we_o be_v instruct_v in_o all_o truth_n and_o consequent_o by_o he_o we_o obtain_v divine_a and_o heavenly_a wisdom_n here_o also_o shall_v he_o learn_v that_o christ_n be_v make_v under_o the_o law_n that_o he_o may_v redeem_v they_o which_o be_v in_o bondage_n under_o the_o law_n &_o of_o servile_a bondman_n make_v they_o free_a son_n even_o the_o child_n of_o god_n furthermore_o if_o grief_n and_o heaviness_n come_v upon_o he_o he_o be_v here_o teach_v where_o true_a joy_n may_v be_v have_v even_o in_o christ_n jesus_n alone_o that_o in_o he_o only_o he_o may_v find_v sure_a comfort_n sovereign_a medicine_n present_a remedy_n true_a joy_n of_o heart_n and_o quietness_n of_o conscience_n final_o whereas_o we_o be_v synnefull_a and_o have_v by_o our_o sin_n just_o deserve_v god_n eternal_a wrath_n and_o most_o heavy_a vengeance_n he_o shall_v here_o learn_v that_o christ_n have_v pay_v the_o ransom_n for_o our_o sin_n and_o pacify_v god_n most_o grievous_a wrath_n and_o displeasure_n just_o conceive_v against_o us._n and_o because_o it_o be_v not_o sufficient_a that_o due_a satisfaction_n be_v make_v for_o sin_n and_o god_n wrath_n appease_v but_o we_o must_v also_o appear_v righteous_a before_o god_n it_o be_v here_o show_v that_o as_o by_o one_o man_n disobedience_n many_o be_v make_v sinner_n so_o by_o the_o obedience_n of_o one_o a_o saviour_n but_o it_o shall_v be_v needless_a much_o to_o stand_v upon_o this_o point_n see_v it_o be_v not_o unknow_v to_o the_o faithful_a with_o how_o great_a endeavour_n they_o ought_v to_o avoid_v that_o which_o be_v evil_a and_o embrace_v that_o which_o be_v good_a and_o therefore_o shall_v sincere_a &_o perfect_a doctrine_n concern_v good_a work_n be_v unto_o they_o no_o less_o
