it_o otherwise_o then_o by_o the_o discontent_a interest_n and_o influence_n of_o these_o man_n as_o a_o expedient_a or_o three_o party_n who_o they_o have_v experience_v well_o enough_o how_o to_o cajole_a &_o engage_v under_o the_o pretence_n of_o a_o kirk_n &_o covenant-interest_n acquaint_v they_o that_o they_o intend_v to_o apply_v themselves_o to_o the_o king_n in_o which_o application_n they_o will_v consider_v the_o presbyterian_a party_n in_o england_n as_o themselves_o and_o that_o the_o foundation_n of_o the_o agreement_n shall_v be_v the_o covenant_n and_o desire_v a_o constant_a correspondency_n and_o good_a understanding_n between_o those_o here_o and_o they_o in_o scotland_n this_o overture_n occasion_v the_o first_o meeting_n of_o the_o man_n concern_v in_o the_o follow_a treason_n at_o which_o the_o gracious_a disposition_n of_o the_o prince_n be_v speak_v of_o &_o how_o that_o loyalty_n &_o the_o sense_n of_o his_o suffering_n engage_v they_o to_o attempt_v something_o in_o his_o behalf_n if_o he_o will_v close_v with_o the_o scot_n and_o take_v the_o covenant_n and_o this_o produce_v the_o first_o treaty_n at_o the_o hague_n that_o treaty_n bring_v forth_o nothing_o the_o king_n of_o scot_n send_v to_o these_o man_n to_o procure_v another_o treaty_n between_o the_o scot_n and_o he_o as_o the_o scot_n have_v before_o for_o a_o treaty_n with_o the_o king_n and_o assure_v they_o that_o if_o they_o can_v obtain_v it_o and_o the_o scot_n to_o moderate_v their_o proposition_n he_o will_v give_v satisfaction_n to_o the_o scot_n this_o they_o take_v into_o consideration_n and_o send_v to_o the_o scot_n to_o make_v another_o application_n to_o the_o king_n and_o to_o moderate_v their_o proposition_n the_o scot_n return_v that_o they_o will_v make_v another_o application_n to_o the_o king_n but_o withal_o they_o say_v it_o shall_v be_v upon_o the_o same_o term_n for_o that_o the_o former_a breach_n at_o the_o hague_n have_v occasion_v rather_o the_o heighten_v of_o their_o proposition_n than_o the_o moderate_n of_o they_o and_o desire_v they_o to_o make_v use_n of_o their_o interest_n with_o the_o king_n to_o give_v they_o satisfaction_n hereupon_o these_o meet_v consider_v of_o conclude_v and_o send_v a_o petition_n to_o the_o king_n for_o that_o purpose_n and_o letter_n to_o the_o queen_n jerm●n_n and_o percy_n to_o persuade_v the_o king_n to_o give_v the_o scot_n satisfaction_n these_o return_v that_o however_o thing_n seem_v to_o they_o yet_o the_o king_n be_v resolve_v to_o give_v the_o scot_n satisfaction_n &_o that_o to_o that_o end_n a_o treaty_n be_v appoint_v at_o jersey_n &_o percy_n advise_v they_o to_o send_v one_o from_o hence_o to_o the_o
