instead_o of_o go_v to_o the_o tavern_n to_o turn_v away_o his_o foot_n from_o the_o house_n of_o a_o harlot_n to_o do_v just_o and_o a_o hundred_o such_o thing_n to_o read_v to_o hear_v the_o word_n to_o pray_v to_o consider_v his_o sin_n now_o these_o be_v thing_n which_o none_o deni_v only_o we_o say_v his_o power_n as_o to_o these_o be_v much_o weaken_v by_o the_o fall_n so_o as_o we_o doubt_v whether_o by_o common_a grace_n and_o all_o the_o natural_a power_n man_n have_v he_o can_v do_v these_o material_o good_a action_n when_o he_o be_v press_v with_o a_o vehement_a temptation_n but_o i_o say_v i_o can_v never_o yet_o meet_v with_o any_o that_o will_v say_v it_o be_v in_o the_o power_n of_o man_n to_o believe_v to_o repent_v save_o to_o love_n god_n etc._n etc._n 2._o if_o any_o judicial_a blindness_n of_o mind_n and_o hardness_n of_o heart_n 4._o admit_v thou_o have_v such_o a_o power_n if_o it_o still_o remain_v establish_v that_o this_o power_n must_v be_v produce_v into_o the_o receive_v that_o benefit_n then_o they_o further_o say_v that_o god_n do_v only_o pardon_v the_o eternal_a guilt_n of_o sin_n and_o christ_n have_v only_o satisfy_v for_o that_o so_o that_o be_v their_o doctrine_n protestant_n now_o say_v that_o god_n alone_o can_v forgive_v sin_n but_o by_o his_o minister_n in_o the_o preach_a of_o the_o gospel_n he_o do_v declare_v a_o man_n sin_n be_v a_o act_n of_o obedience_n to_o god_n will_n and_o for_o a_o more_o comfortable_a brotherly_a communion_n and_o the_o church_n satisfaction_n that_o the_o person_n ought_v not_o to_o be_v long_o keep_v out_o of_o its_o communion_n 2._o they_o say_v further_o that_o in_o the_o case_n of_o great_a horror_n of_o conscience_n and_o terror_n upon_o people_n spirit_n it_o may_v be_v of_o great_a advantage_n to_o particular_a christian_n under_o such_o terror_n to_o confess_v some_o particular_a sin_n unto_o their_o judicious_a brethren_n or_o unto_o their_o faithful_a minister_n but_o not_o comfort_n from_o the_o word_n of_o god_n or_o otherwise_o advise_v they_o what_o to_o do_v according_a to_o the_o will_n of_o god_n that_o they_o may_v receive_v true_a and_o solid_a comfort_n and_o peace_n they_o do_v also_o further_o say_v that_o satisfaction_n where_o any_o have_v wrong_v another_o be_v necessary_a if_o in_o our_o power_n as_o in_o case_n of_o theft_n etc._n etc._n but_o for_o any_o necessity_n of_o any_o other_o confession_n or_o satissaction_n in_o order_n to_o god_n forgiveness_n of_o the_o sin_n they_o do_v not_o understand_v it_o nor_o believe_v it_o and_o for_o judicial_a absolution_n they_o say_v it_o be_v god_n alone_a act_n and_o that_o all_o that_o the_o minister_n can_v do_v be_v to_o declare_v the_o will_n of_o god_n to_o people_n in_o case_n they_o
