reject_v any_o article_n of_o the_o apostle_n creed_n therefore_o there_o be_v no_o reason_n why_o our_o faith_n shall_v be_v tie_v to_o the_o creed_n and_o in_o other_o thing_n we_o shall_v be_v leave_v to_o our_o liberty_n see_v we_o be_v as_o much_o oblige_v to_o believe_v all_o thing_n in_o scripture_n as_o in_o the_o apostle_n creed_n for_o although_o we_o be_v not_o bind_v to_o know_v all_o thing_n distinct_o contain_v in_o the_o scripture_n yet_o we_o ought_v to_o believe_v in_o general_a insomuch_o that_o we_o can_v without_o the_o sin_n of_o heresy_n reject_v any_o part_n thereof_o as_o false_a and_o doubtful_a with_o what_o colour_n therefore_o or_o what_o probable_a show_n of_o reason_n can_v it_o be_v say_v it_o matter_n not_o how_o you_o believe_v in_o other_o thing_n so_o be_v it_o you_o believe_v in_o christ_n and_o the_o apostle_n creed_n why_o be_v we_o bind_v to_o believe_v the_o creed_n rather_o than_o the_o whole_a scripture_n since_o it_o be_v not_o of_o great_a authority_n than_o the_o scripture_n this_o be_v a_o fancy_n certain_o too_o vain_a and_o rude_a void_a of_o any_o foundation_n seven_o reason_n in_o all_o our_o faith_n we_o must_v not_o only_o regard_v what_o we_o believe_v belief_n our_o whole_a faith_n depend_v on_o the_o foundation_n or_o motive_n of_o our_o belief_n but_o likewise_o and_o that_o chief_a of_o all_o upon_o what_o foundation_n we_o believe_v or_o what_o be_v the_o sole_a motive_n of_o our_o belief_n for_o upon_o this_o the_o whole_a nature_n and_o property_n of_o our_o faith_n depend_v for_o as_o the_o motive_n of_o our_o belief_n be_v which_o we_o call_v the_o foundation_n of_o our_o faith_n such_o be_v the_o faith_n itself_o if_o that_o be_v certain_a and_o can_v be_v deceitful_a our_o faith_n also_o be_v certain_a and_o infallible_a if_o it_o be_v deceitful_a our_o faith_n also_o will_v be_v uncertain_a and_o liable_a to_o error_n for_o example_n the_o turk_n believe_v that_o there_o be_v one_o god_n creator_n of_o all_o thing_n why_o because_o the_o alcoran_n so_o teach_v which_o he_o believe_v to_o be_v write_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n his_o faith_n although_o this_o which_o he_o believe_v be_v true_a depend_v on_o a_o false_a and_o fallacious_a foundation_n by_o force_n of_o which_o he_o be_v bind_v to_o believe_v many_o false_a and_o blasphemous_a thing_n as_o that_o there_o be_v not_o three_o person_n in_o the_o godhead_n father_n son_n and_o holy_a ghost_n that_o christ_n be_v not_o god_n and_o that_o he_o be_v less_o than_o mahomet_n that_o circumcision_n be_v to_o be_v observe_v and_o the_o like_a therefore_o this_o faith_n by_o virtue_n of_o this_o foundation_n be_v fallible_a and_o erroneous_a it_o be_v the_o same_o case_n with_o all_o heretic_n foundation_n the_o faith_n of_o all_o sect_n depend_v on_o a_o false_a foundation_n this_o be_v lay_v down_o i_o thus_o argue_v that_o faith_n which_o depend_v on_o a_o fallacious_a foundation_n although_o it_o believe_v some_o thing_n which_o be_v true_a yet_o can_v be_v say_v to_o be_v sufficient_a to_o salvation_n but_o the_o faith_n of_o all_o sectary_n of_o this_o time_n depend_v on_o a_o fallacious_a or_o wrong_a foundation_n therefore_o it_o can_v be_v sufficient_a to_o salvation_n the_o proposition_n be_v manifest_a of_o itself_o for_o how_o can_v that_o which_o be_v false_a and_o lie_a be_v the_o basis_n or_o foundation_n of_o eternal_a salvation_n how_o can_v the_o true_a religion_n whereby_o we_o please_v god_n be_v found_v on_o a_o false_a belief_n certain_o this_o be_v as_o far_o from_o all_o reason_n as_o if_o you_o shall_v say_v that_o truth_n depend_v on_o a_o lie_n wisdom_n upon_o error_n and_o virtue_n upon_o vice_n it_o remain_v then_o to_o prove_v the_o assumption_n or_o other_o proposition_n viz._n that_o all_o sectary_n rely_v on_o a_o fallacious_a foundation_n foundation_n a_o threefold_a foundation_n i_o show_v thus_o they_o believe_v their_o opinion_n
