spirit_n of_o god_n on_o a_o soul_n abide_v there_o the_o impression_n never_o wear_v out_o this_o anoint_v abide_v as_o john_n speak_v 1_o joh._n 2.27_o truth_n of_o grace_n in_o the_o heart_n and_o it_o abide_v there_o and_o the_o heart_n abide_v in_o the_o truth_n when_o god_n give_v a_o man_n truth_n of_o grace_n he_o give_v it_o he_o to_o have_v and_o to_o hold_v for_o ever_o the_o soul_n one_o but_o seem_o regenerate_v and_o therefore_o strike_v 〈◊〉_d and_o proceed_v to_o the_o other_o seal_n of_o the_o holy_a spirit_n of_o god_n to_o wit_n the_o seal_n of_o confirmation_n mention_v before_o and_o for_o this_o purpose_n shall_v pitch_v upon_o rom._n 8.16_o spirit_n witness_v with_o our_o spirit_n rom._n 8.16_o the_o spirit_n itself_o bear_v witness_n with_o our_o spirit_n that_o that_o the_o world_n know_v not_o of_o it_o be_v seal_v unto_o the_o day_n of_o redemption_n indeed_o with_o a_o seal_n of_o confirmation_n and_o it_o know_v that_o it_o be_v so_o the_o spirit_n itself_o bear_v witness_n with_o our_o spirit_n that_o we_o be_v the_o child_n of_o god_n hence_o it_o be_v evident_a that_o no_o man_n own_o spirit_n note_n can_v true_o assure_v he_o of_o the_o love_n of_o god_n towards_o he_o nor_o â—_o his_o adoption_n unless_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n concur_v and_o bear_v witness_n with_o his_o spirit_n no_o more_o than_o a_o man_n own_o deed_n or_o seal_n can_v assure_v he_o of_o what_o be_v delegated_a or_o assign_v unto_o he_o by_o another_o neither_o be_v it_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n alone_o simple_o and_o single_o consider_v that_o do_v this_o 2._o this_o testimony_n or_o witness_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n in_o whosoever_o it_o be_v proceed_v from_o and_o depend_v on_o free_a grace_n and_o be_v a_o token_n of_o royal_a favour_n to_o whosoever_o it_o be_v grant_v it_o be_v christ_n golden_a sceptre_n hold_v up_o to_o the_o soul._n 3._o this_o seal_n or_o testimony_n of_o the_o holy_a spirit_n of_o god_n though_o it_o be_v the_o ratifier_n of_o our_o redemption_n and_o salvation_n in_o our_o heart_n yet_o it_o be_v not_o the_o meritorious_a cause_n of_o it_o neither_o be_v it_o absolute_o necessary_a unto_o salvation_n
