or_o spiritual_a house_n the_o temple_n of_o god_n and_o the_o very_a foundation_n of_o this_o building_n be_v lay_v in_o humility_n and_o self-denial_n from_o whence_o proceed_v all_o those_o divine_a grace_n and_o virtue_n which_o both_o perfect_a &_o adorn_v the_o building_n which_o make_v humility_n and_o poverty_n of_o spirit_n renounce_v the_o love_n of_o this_o world_n and_o the_o very_a possession_n of_o it_o too_o in_o some_o case_n as_o necessary_a to_o our_o become_a christian_n as_o a_o great_a deal_n of_o money_n be_v to_o erect_v and_o perfect_a a_o stately_a and_o magnificent_a building_n this_o appear_v to_o be_v a_o great_a truth_n and_o no_o groundless_a fancy_n by_o the_o parable_n of_o the_o wedding-supper_n in_o the_o former_a part_n of_o the_o chapter_n which_o thou_o may_v do_v well_o to_o reflect_v upon_o the_o master_n send_v his_o servant_n to_o call_v they_o that_o be_v bid_v when_o his_o supper_n be_v ready_a but_o they_o all_o refuse_v and_o desire_v to_o be_v excuse_v one_o have_v buy_v a_o piece_n of_o ground_n and_o he_o must_v go_v and_o see_v it_o another_o have_v buy_v five_o yoke_n of_o ox_n and_o he_o must_v go_v and_o prove_v as_o we_o say_v and_o wallow_v in_o the_o pleasure_n thereof_o we_o have_v a_o very_a remarkable_a instance_n of_o the_o mischief_n that_o worldly_a riches_n do_v to_o those_o that_o both_o have_v and_o love_v they_o in_o the_o 10_o chapter_n of_o st._n mark_n be_v gospel_n and_o the_o 17_o and_o 18._o v._n etc._n etc._n and_o there_o be_v several_a thing_n in_o the_o chapter_n relate_v to_o it_o that_o deserve_v our_o regard_n in_o the_o verse_n before_o we_o find_v our_o bless_a saviour_n displease_v with_o his_o disciple_n for_o forbid_v little_a child_n to_o be_v bring_v unto_o he_o and_o say_v to_o they_o suffer_v little_a child_n to_o come_v unto_o i_o and_o forbid_v they_o not_o for_o of_o such_o be_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n that_o be_v their_o innocency_n and_o simplicity_n their_o willingness_n to_o be_v guide_v and_o sustain_v by_o other_o make_v they_o the_o sit_v emblem_n of_o those_o that_o do_v true_o belong_v to_o my_o church_n and_o kingdom_n and_o to_o inherit_v eternal_a life_n he_o have_v do_v much_o in_o order_n to_o it_o before_o he_o have_v keep_v the_o commandment_n from_o his_o youth_n up_o so_o he_o profess_v and_o there_o be_v no_o doubt_n but_o he_o speak_v what_o he_o think_v and_o what_o he_o have_v do_v in_o a_o good_a measure_n for_o it_o be_v say_v v._n 21._o that_o jesus_n love_v he_o that_o be_v he_o approve_v of_o his_o saviour_n word_n and_o so_o the_o disciple_n look_v upon_o he_o be_v astonish_v at_o the_o bewitch_a power_n of_o worldly_a possession_n for_o it_o be_v not_o improbable_a that_o this_o may_v be_v one_o cause_n of_o their_o wonder_n as_o well_o as_o the_o word_n of_o their_o master_n upon_o this_o accident_n for_o though_o his_o first_o word_n how_o hardly_o shall_v those_o that_o have_v riches_n enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n may_v have_v astonish_v they_o another_o time_n yet_o his_o second_o word_n how_o hard_o be_v it_o for_o they_o that_o trust_v in_o riches_n to_o enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n will_v have_v remove_v their_o astonishment_n it_o be_v easy_a for_o they_o to_o apprehend_v that_o those_o that_o trust_v in_o riches_n will_v not_o trust_v in_o god_n and_o therefore_o shall_v not_o be_v save_v by_o he_o but_o they_o be_v astonish_v to_o see_v a_o man_n that_o mean_v so_o well_o and_o be_v come_v so_o near_o to_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n overthrow_v by_o his_o great_a possession_n and_o since_o riches_n have_v so_o great_a a_o power_n over_o he_o and_o can_v turn_v he_o back_o from_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n they_o believe_v they_o will_v turn_v all_o the_o rich_a man_n in_o the_o world_n from_o it_o if_o he_o after_o have_v keep_v the_o commandment_n from_o his_o youth_n up_o do_v trust_v in_o his_o riches_n no_o rich_a reproach_n upon_o he_o that_o he_o be_v a_o friend_n to_o publican_n and_o sinner_n yet_o he_o never_o speak_v of_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n but_o with_o great_a severity_n nor_o of_o himself_o as_o the_o judge_n of_o the_o world_n but_o in_o such_o word_n as_o altogether_o exclude_v that_o fond_a partiality_n which_o wicked_a man_n expect_v from_o he_o at_o that_o day_n thus_o in_o one_o to_o learn_v those_o duty_n to_o which_o their_o lust_n will_v not_o be_v reconcile_v either_o they_o be_v not_o able_a to_o understand_v they_o or_o have_v not_o the_o power_n to_o practice_v they_o dr._n patrick_n christian_a saacrifice_n which_o i_o desire_v may_v find_v a_o place_n both_o in_o thy_o closet_n and_o in_o thy_o heart_n do_v thou_o there_o renew_v what_o thou_o have_v do_v in_o private_a and_o as_o it_o be_v in_o public_a court_n avow_v it_o and_o consirm_v it_o at_o that_o holy_a tale_n god_n will_v not_o fail_v to_o meet_v thou_o attend_v with_o a_o innumerable_a company_n
