merit_n of_o christ_n death_n and_o his_o precious_a bloodshedding_n this_o do_v the_o parable_n of_o the_o pharisee_fw-mi and_o the_o publican_n teach_v 18._o luke_n 18._o two_o man_n say_v christ_n be_v no_o such_o man_n neither_o faulty_a in_o any_o such_o like_a notorious_a crime_n but_o where_o other_o transgress_v by_o leave_v thing_n undo_v which_o yet_o the_o law_n require_v this_o man_n do_v more_o than_o be_v requisite_a by_o the_o law_n for_o he_o fast_v twice_o in_o the_o week_n and_o give_v tithe_n of_o all_o that_o he_o have_v what_o can_v the_o world_n then_o just_o blame_v twice_o in_o the_o week_n and_o all_o his_o other_o work_n though_o they_o be_v never_o so_o many_o and_o seem_v to_o the_o world_n never_o so_o good_a and_o holy_a yet_o in_o very_a deed_n before_o god_n they_o be_v altogether_o evil_a and_o abominable_a the_o mark_n also_o that_o the_o hypocrite_n shoot_v at_o with_o their_o fast_a be_v to_o appear_v holy_a in_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o world_n and_o so_o to_o win_v commendation_n and_o praise_n of_o man_n but_o our_o saviour_n christ_n say_v of_o they_o 6._o mat._n 6._o they_o have_v their_o reward_n that_o be_v they_o have_v praise_n and_o commendation_n of_o man_n but_o of_o god_n they_o have_v none_o at_o all_o for_o whatsoever_o tend_v to_o a_o evil_a end_n be_v itself_o by_o that_o evil_a end_n make_v evil_a also_o again_o so_o long_o as_o we_o keep_v ungodliness_n in_o our_o heart_n and_o suffer_v wicked_a thought_n to_o tarry_v there_o though_o we_o fast_o as_o oft_o as_o do_v either_o st._n paul_n or_o john_n baptist_n it_o follow_v in_o word_n more_o plentiful_a in_o the_o text_n which_o i_o have_v last_o cite_v unto_o you_o so_o it_o must_v needs_o follow_v in_o they_o that_o be_v endue_v with_o this_o spiritual_a wisdom_n for_o as_o they_o can_v search_v where_o to_o find_v this_o wisdom_n and_o know_v of_o who_o to_o ask_v it_o so_o know_v they_o again_o that_o in_o time_n it_o be_v find_v and_o can_v therefore_o temper_v themselves_o to_o the_o occasion_n of_o the_o time_n to_o suffer_v no_o time_n to_o pass_v away_o wherein_o they_o may_v labour_v for_o this_o wisdom_n and_o to_o increase_v therein_o they_o know_v how_o god_n of_o his_o infinite_a mercy_n and_o lenity_n give_v all_o man_n here_o time_n and_o place_n of_o repentance_n and_o they_o see_v how_o the_o wicked_a as_o job_n
