of_o that_o joy_n which_o be_v in_o his_o face_n of_o that_o light_n which_o come_v from_o his_o face_n and_o once_o he_o be_v take_v from_o they_o give_v they_o all_o this_o world_n and_o all_o the_o pleasure_n of_o this_o world_n they_o shall_v have_v no_o pleasure_n they_o will_v never_o be_v blithe_a till_o they_o get_v a_o sight_n of_o their_o lord_n their_o soul_n die_v without_o his_o face_n sundry_a person_n yet_o they_o be_v but_o one_o bless_a majesty_n one_o god_n in_o one_o nature_n and_o one_o substance_n faith_n in_o one_o of_o they_o prejudge_v not_o another_o as_o thou_o believe_v in_o the_o father_n so_o believe_v in_o the_o son_n so_o believe_v in_o the_o holy_a ghost_n because_o they_o be_v one_o in_o nature_n and_o substance_n they_o be_v coessential_a coequal_a &_o coeternall_a if_o the_o father_n and_o the_o son_n be_v different_a in_o substance_n so_o that_o the_o father_n be_v one_o
god_n and_o the_o son_n another_o then_o in_o very_a deed_n faith_n in_o the_o one_o will_v prejudge_v the_o other_o for_o why_o faith_n in_o the_o heart_n can_v lean_v on_o two_o thing_n or_o upon_o two_o god_n or_o three_o so_o that_o we_o note_v here_o that_o faith_n must_v be_v on_o one_o thing_n only_o if_o thou_o will_v put_v thy_o trust_n in_o any_o thing_n in_o this_o world_n on_o riches_n or_o honour_n etc._n etc._n it_o shall_v pass_v thy_o power_n to_o believe_v in_o god_n if_o thou_o make_v many_o god_n it_o shall_v pass_v thy_o power_n to_o put_v thy_o trust_n in_o they_o all_o and_o it_o be_v no_o more_o but_o this_o that_o faith_n must_v be_v ground_v on_o one_o only_a it_o be_v a_o sufficient_a argument_n to_o bear_v thou_o witness_n that_o there_o be_v but_o one_o god_n in_o substance_n the_o father_n son_n and_o holy_a ghost_n so_o it_o be_v no_o prejudice_n to_o the_o father_n that_o we_o believe_v in_o the_o son_n yea_o i_o say_v more_o there_o be_v no_o faith_n deliver_v from_o it_o this_o be_v not_o my_o meaning_n that_o any_o man_n shall_v draw_v himself_o to_o live_v as_o a_o eremite_n and_o in_o the_o wilderness_n separate_v from_o the_o society_n of_o man_n as_o the_o monk_n do_v this_o be_v nothing_o but_o the_o craft_n of_o the_o devil_n that_o man_n shall_v draw_v to_o cloister_n live_v in_o harlotry_n and_o in_o a_o den_n of_o wickedness_n live_v in_o a_o vain_a speculation_n feed_v their_o belly_n and_o do_v no_o good_a to_o
the_o world_n but_o this_o be_v it_o that_o i_o mean_v that_o man_n even_o live_v in_o the_o society_n of_o this_o world_n yet_o they_o shall_v not_o live_v as_o the_o world_n do_v they_o shall_v separate_v their_o life_n from_o the_o society_n of_o the_o world_n paul_n to_o the_o philippian_n chap._n 2._o vers_fw-la 16._o desire_v they_o to_o live_v like_a as_o many_o light_n where_o not_o in_o a_o backside_n but_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o this_o naughty_a and_o wicked_a generation_n bear_v before_o they_o the_o word_n of_o life_n thus_o shall_v we_o live_v as_o he_o say_v philipp_n when_o thou_o hear_v the_o word_n of_o truth_n pray_v he_o that_o by_o the_o word_n of_o truth_n he_o will_v sanctify_v thou_o that_o be_v that_o by_o his_o holy_a spirit_n that_o word_n may_v be_v effectual_a in_o thy_o soul_n say_v this_o way_n now_o lord_n as_o this_o be_v the_o only_a instrument_n appoint_v to_o sanctify_v may_v soul_n and_o scour_v away_o the_o corruption_n of_o my_o dead_a this_o world_n and_o have_v his_o conversation_n in_o all_o point_n like_o the_o world_n i_o say_v and_o i_o assure_v thou_o the_o lord_n never_o send_v that_o man_n so_o if_o a_o minister_n will_v have_v a_o good_a conscience_n in_o his_o call_n and_o will_v go_v out_o to_o the_o world_n to_o draw_v man_n to_o heaven_n let_v he_o try_v himself_o if_o he_o be_v separate_v from_o the_o world_n or_o no_o and_o if_o he_o find_v that_o he_o be_v separate_v from_o the_o world_n then_o with_o the_o better_a conscience_n he_o may_v speak_v of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o then_o he_o may_v put_v out_o his_o hand_n to_o miserable_a man_n and_o draw_v they_o piece_n and_o piece_n out_o of_o this_o sinful_a world_n otherways_o he_o can_v have_v no_o boldness_n now_o let_v we_o come_v to_o the_o second_o argument_n the_o second_o argument_n which_o he_o use_v be_v from_o the_o end_n of_o his_o sanctification_n for_o their_o sake_n i_o have_v sanctify_v myself_o to_o what_o end_n that_o they_o may_v be_v sanctify_v through_o thy_o truth_n i_o have_v sanctify_v myself_o that_o be_v i_o have_v consecrate_v myself_o to_o the_o death_n to_o be_v a_o sacrifice_n that_o by_o my_o death_n and_o through_o it_o they_o shall_v be_v make_v holy_a and_o that_o by_o the_o ministry_n of_o the_o cross_n the_o ground_n of_o all_o our_o sanctification_n be_v the_o cross_n and_o death_n of_o jesus_n christ_n it_o be_v that_o blood_n and_o that_o sacrifice_n that_o make_v we_o holy_a and_o which_o be_v that_o meritorious_a cause_n that_o have_v procure_v holiness_n to_o every_o one_o of_o us._n well_o brethren_n as_o little_a as_o man_n will_v count_v of_o holiness_n our_o holiness_n be_v dear_a buy_v there_o be_v not_o one_o that_o have_v a_o sponke_n of_o holiness_n little_a or_o much_o but_o it_o be_v buy_v by_o the_o precious_a blood_n of_o the_o immaculate_a lamb_n it_o be_v the_o dear_a merchandise_n that_o ever_o be_v buy_v in_o the_o world_n so_o the_o ground_n of_o holiness_n be_v the_o blood_n of_o god_n but_o i_o say_v again_o except_o that_o the_o cross_n of_o christ_n and_o his_o blood_n and_o his_o death_n and_o sacrifice_n be_v make_v thou_o and_o apply_v to_o thou_o and_o apprehend_v to_o thou_o and_z except_z so_o to_o speak_v it_o the_o cross_n of_o jesus_n christ_n be_v in_o thy_o heart_n and_o thy_o conscience_n sprinkle_v with_o his_o blood_n the_o cross_n of_o jesus_n shall_v never_o do_v thou_o good_a to_o make_v thou_o holy_a now_o you_o see_v the_o mean_a and_o instrument_n whereby_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n be_v make_v we_o it_o be_v the_o cross_n and_o so_o make_v jesus_n christ_n and_o his_o cross_n thou_o by_o faith_n than_o the_o blood_n of_o jesus_n christ_n shall_v gushe_v out_o to_o thy_o sanctification_n it_o can_v be_v idle_a but_o it_o must_v sanctify_v and_o separate_v thou_o from_o the_o world_n and_o make_v thou_o a_o heir_n of_o life_n look_v how_o you_o shall_v have_v a_o sight_n of_o the_o cross_n of_o christ_n think_v it_o not_o enough_o that_o christ_n suffer_v and_o die_v for_o sinner_n except_o when_o thou_o hear_v this_o word_n of_o the_o cross_n thy_o heart_n griedilie_o gripe_v and_o draw_v christ_n in_o to_o thyself_o and_o this_o aye_o shall_v be_v our_o exercise_n in_o the_o hear_n of_o the_o word_n of_o the_o cross_n of_o jesus_n christ_n to_o get_v such_o a_o solid_a apprehension_n of_o the_o cross_n that_o thou_o may_v say_v the_o lord_n jesus_n die_v for_o i_o the_o great_a sinner_n in_o the_o world_n look_v that_o thou_o find_v the_o effect_n and_o fruit_n to_o flow_v of_o that_o cross_n to_o the_o sanctification_n of_o thy_o soul_n &_o mortification_n &_o slaughter_n of_o thy_o sinful_a nature_n day_n &_o night_n so_o hear_v not_o with_o the_o ear_n only_o but_o with_o the_o apprehension_n of_o the_o heart_n or_o else_o that_o cross_n shall_v never_o be_v effectual_a to_o save_v thou_o but_o for_o all_o this_o benefit_n of_o the_o word_n of_o the_o cross_n of_o jesus_n christ_n everlasting_a death_n and_o damnation_n shall_v be_v thy_o end_n be_v not_o secure_a in_o hear_v but_o draw_v in_o to_o thyself_o jesus_n christ_n and_o there_o shall_v follow_v such_o a_o wicked_a man_n but_o to_o have_v come_v down_o from_o the_o father_n and_o to_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n then_o brethren_n there_o be_v not_o a_o thing_n in_o the_o world_n no_o not_o a_o effect_n in_o the_o world_n where_o in_o that_o virtue_n of_o jesus_n christ_n appear_v more_o than_o in_o this_o conjunction_n of_o the_o member_n of_o the_o church_fw-mi in_o the_o earth_n so_o will_v thou_o show_v before_o the_o world_n that_o jesus_n be_v god_n equal_a with_o the_o father_n be_v at_o one_o with_o thy_o neighbour_n will_v thou_o glorify_v jesus_n christ_n and_o profess_v he_o before_o conjunction_n and_o make_v up_o of_o one_o body_n be_v no_o small_a effect_n of_o the_o virtue_n of_o jesus_n christ_n there_o be_v no_o power_n in_o heaven_n nor_o in_o earth_n but_o this_o power_n of_o god_n that_o will_v make_v up_o that_o band_n all_o the_o king_n in_o the_o earth_n will_v not_o make_v thou_o love_v thy_o neighbour_n true_o no_o power_n can_v make_v thou_o love_v thy_o wife_n the_o father_n be_v in_o the_o son_n to_o wit_n in_o nature_n and_o substance_n and_o that_o the_o father_n have_v give_v to_o the_o son_n his_o glory_n for_o brethren_n what_o be_v the_o glory_n of_o god_n nothing_o but_o the_o glorious_a essence_n and_o nature_n of_o god_n and_o this_o be_v the_o glory_n that_o he_o give_v to_o the_o son_n what_o be_v mean_v again_o by_o this_o glory_n that_o the_o son_n give_v to_o the_o father_n the_o word_n in_o the_o next_o verse_n
