unto_o the_o vine_n itself_o it_o be_v natural_a from_o its_o own_o fullness_n to_o communicate_v nourishment_n unto_o the_o branch_n it_o do_v it_o from_o the_o principle_n of_o its_o nature_n and_o our_o union_n that_o now_o which_o be_v expect_v from_o you_o be_v that_o you_o bring_v forth_o fruit_n that_o be_v that_o you_o live_v in_o holiness_n and_o obedience_n unto_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n unless_o you_o do_v so_o you_o be_v no_o true_a real_a branch_n in_o i_o whatever_o outward_a profession_n you_o may_v make_v of_o your_o so_o be_v but_o how_o shall_v this_o be_v effect_v how_o be_v grace_n from_o christ_n communicate_v unto_o they_o the_o preparation_n of_o all_o fructify_a grace_n be_v in_o christ_n as_o the_o fruit_n of_o the_o branch_n be_v natural_o in_o the_o vine_n and_o the_o lord_n christ_n do_v spiritual_o and_o voluntary_o communicate_v of_o this_o grace_n unto_o all_o believer_n as_o the_o vine_n communicate_v its_o juice_n unto_o the_o branch_n natural_o than_o we_o neither_o be_v there_o any_o proportion_n between_o our_o duty_n and_o the_o reward_n of_o the_o eternal_a enjoyment_n of_o god_n for_o beside_o that_o they_o be_v all_o weak_a imperfect_a and_o taint_v with_o sin_n so_o that_o no_o one_o of_o they_o be_v able_a to_o make_v good_a its_o own_o station_n for_o any_o end_n or_o purpose_n in_o the_o strictness_n of_o divine_a justice_n they_o altogether_o come_v infifinite_o short_a of_o the_o desert_n of_o a_o eternal_a reward_n by_o any_o rule_n of_o divine_a justice_n and_o if_o any_o say_v that_o this_o merit_n of_o our_o work_n depend_v not_o on_o nor_o be_v measure_v by_o strict_a justice_n but_o whole_o by_o the_o gracious_a condescension_n of_o god_n who_o have_v appoint_v and_o promise_v so_o to_o reward_v they_o i_o answer_v in_o the_o first_o place_n that_o this_o perfect_o overthrow_v the_o whole_a nature_n of_o merit_n for_o the_o nature_n of_o merit_n consist_v entire_o and_o absolute_o in_o this_o that_o in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n so_o it_o be_v extreme_a pride_n and_o curse_a self-confidence_n for_o they_o to_o undertake_v to_o help_v other_o by_o the_o merit_n of_o those_o work_n who_o worth_n they_o stand_v not_o in_o need_n of_o concern_v which_o it_o will_v be_v one_o day_n say_v unto_o they_o who_o have_v require_v these_o thing_n at_o your_o hand_n but_o now_o whereas_o god_n require_v none_o of_o these_o thing_n of_o we_o nothing_o with_o respect_n unto_o any_o of_o these_o end_n such_o be_v the_o perverseness_n of_o our_o mind_n by_o nature_n that_o many_o think_v that_o god_n require_v nothing_o else_o of_o we_o or_o nothing_o of_o we_o but_o with_o respect_n unto_o one_o or_o other_o of_o these_o end_n nor_o can_v they_o in_o their_o heart_n conceive_v why_o they_o
