of_o the_o corruption_n that_o remain_v some_o fear_n must_v be_v and_o the_o great_a the_o corruption_n be_v the_o great_a fear_n fall_v upon_o the_o conscience_n the_o chief_a corruption_n that_o then_o to_o take_v up_o the_o doctrine_n of_o this_o first_o benefit_n we_o see_v this_o heavenly_a &_o familiar_a revelation_n of_o god_n only_o and_o no_o other_o thing_n make_v this_o god_n well_o know_v in_o israel_n of_o this_o heavenly_a and_o familiar_a revelation_n spring_v true_a knowledge_n which_o be_v no_o other_o thing_n but_o our_o justify_n faith_n and_o of_o this_o justify_n faith_n &_o benefit_n of_o knowledge_n spring_v a_o continual_a praise_v and_o love_v of_o god_n for_o these_o two_o further_a other_o mutual_o the_o true_a knowledge_n of_o god_n and_o the_o true_a but_o god_n know_v what_o we_o have_v profit_v both_o in_o our_o knowledge_n and_o in_o our_o feel_n for_o as_o to_o our_o knowledge_n in_o our_o heart_n whatsoever_o we_o profess_v in_o our_o mouth_n believe_v in_o he_o i_o say_v if_o marvelous_a or_o wondrous_a work_n may_v have_v move_v we_o to_o know_v &_o praise_v he_o he_o have_v show_v a_o work_n late_o which_o even_o the_o more_o we_o hear_v of_o it_o it_o be_v the_o more_o marvelous_a and_o yet_o i_o be_o assure_v a_o great_a part_n of_o the_o circumstance_n that_o shall_v aggravate_v this_o matter_n be_v not_o as_o yet_o come_v and_o mind_n ready_a prepare_v in_o some_o measure_n to_o praise_v he_o i_o stand_v not_o here_o upon_o the_o degree_n of_o preparation_n howsoever_o it_o be_v so_o it_o be_v true_a otherwise_o here_o i_o pronounce_v he_o accurse_v from_o the_o heaven_n that_o come_v not_o here_o to_o praise_n god_n in_o some_o measure_n since_o these_o corporal_a sacrifice_n cease_v in_o the_o which_o god_n be_v honour_v there_o be_v no_o spiritual_a sacrifice_n more_o acceptable_a to_o he_o then_o the_o sacrifice_n of_o thanksgiving_n for_o as_o to_o this_o sacrifice_n thanks_o it_o sanctify_v not_o only_o our_o own_o person_n but_o the_o whole_a creature_n appoint_v to_o the_o use_n of_o our_o person_n for_o that_o which_o be_v true_a in_o meat_n and_o drink_v be_v true_a in_o all_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o creature_n of_o god_n you_o see_v by_o your_o experience_n daily_o that_o your_o meat_n and_o drink_n be_v make_v wholesome_a to_o your_o nourishment_n by_o thanksgiving_n to_o god_n after_o dinner_n and_o supper_n and_o so_o oft_o as_o you_o refresh_v your_o body_n this_o that_o be_v true_a in_o these_o creature_n be_v true_a in_o all_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o benefit_n of_o god_n so_o this_o proposition_n abide_v firm_a thankfulness_n to_o god_n sanctify_v the_o whole_a benefit_n of_o god_n it_o be_v not_o possible_a but_o a_o good_a conscience_n must_v praise_v god_n in_o some_o measure_n a_o good_a conscience_n can_v cast_v off_o the_o memory_n of_o god_n and_o his_o benefit_n altogether_o but_o in_o some_o measure_n it_o must_v praise_v he_o therefore_o that_o we_o may_v possess_v this_o great_a work_n and_o benefit_n of_o our_o delivery_n in_o the_o mercy_n and_o favour_n of_o god_n and_o with_o his_o blessing_n in_o a_o good_a conscience_n let_v we_o in_o some_o measure_n give_v he_o praise_v therefore_o sure_o the_o long_o you_o look_v in_o this_o benefit_n and_o the_o more_o you_o weigh_v it_o

nor_o will_v praise_v he_o the_o way_n and_o manner_n how_o to_o praise_v he_o be_v by_o a_o taste_n and_o feel_n of_o his_o sweetness_n it_o be_v not_o possible_a that_o the_o heart_n can_v praise_v he_o except_o it_o have_v a_o taste_n thereof_o all_o the_o benefit_n of_o the_o lord_n whether_o they_o be_v spiritual_a or_o temporal_a shall_v be_v as_o many_o occasion_n of_o praise_n but_o this_o silence_n be_v a_o argument_n of_o the_o hardness_n of_o our_o heart_n for_o sure_o if_o we_o be_v touch_v with_o a_o feel_n of_o this_o sweetness_n we_o will_v burst_v forth_o in_o praise_n but_o our_o slothfulness_n show_v the_o hardness_n of_o our_o heart_n and_o where_o this_o foul_a death_n continue_v there_o be_v no_o reconciliation_n with_o god_n the_o second_o thing_n that_o i_o mark_v be_v upon_o the_o end_n of_o this_o verse_n it_o be_v not_o enough_o to_o praise_v god_n thyself_o lesson_n it_o be_v not_o enough_o to_o thank_v he_o in_o thy_o own_o heart_n but_o if_o thou_o be_v a_o true_a member_n of_o the_o church_n thou_o must_v propose_v this_o benefit_n to_o the_o church_n for_o benefit_n be_v not_o give_v as_o particular_a privilege_n to_o particular_a person_n but_o as_o public_a testimony_n of_o the_o favour_n of_o god_n towards_o his_o church_n therefore_o every_o benefit_n shall_v be_v propose_v to_o the_o church_n that_o the_o church_n may_v have_v occasion_n to_o praise_n god_n in_o it_o now_o upon_o this_o three_o verse_n he_o burst_v forth_o into_o that_o notable_a sentence_n which_o we_o have_v in_o the_o four_o verse_n bless_a be_v the_o man_n that_o make_v the_o lord_n his_o trust_n and_o regard_v not_o the_o proud_a sure_o that_o man_n be_v exceed_o bless_v who_o be_v not_o carry_v with_o the_o example_n of_o the_o proud_a and_o vain_a in_o be_v large_a the_o lord_n of_o his_o mercy_n work_n in_o every_o one_o of_o we_o that_o we_o may_v both_o know_v the_o way_n and_o walk_v in_o it_o till_o our_o life_n end_n servant_n the_o last_o thing_n that_o i_o mark_v upon_o this_o experience_n you_o see_v two_o end_n why_o the_o lord_n delay_v to_o help_v his_o servant_n the_o first_o and_o special_a end_n be_v that_o he_o may_v be_v the_o more_o glorify_v the_o more_o that_o he_o differ_v the_o second_o end_n be_v that_o these_o hasty_a man_n that_o will_v not_o abide_v the_o leisure_n of_o the_o lord_n may_v see_v themselves_o disappoint_v when_o they_o see_v the_o servant_n of_o the_o the_o lord_n so_o mighty_o deliver_v for_o there_o be_v not_o one_o among_o a_o thousand_o that_o in_o patience_n will_v wait_v upon_o the_o deliverance_n of_o the_o lord_n but_o run_v to_o this_o or_o those_o mean_n unto_o unlawful_a mean_n and_o ever_o seek_v help_n for_o the_o present_a haste_n although_o it_o be_v with_o the_o hurt_n of_o conscience_n and_o these_o unlawful_a sort_n of_o delivery_n bring_v ever_o shame_n
