judgement_n 2._o the_o person_n to_o who_o he_o will_v address_v his_o speech_n unto_o thou_o o_o lord_n will_v i_o sing_v 3._o the_o manner_n of_o deliver_v himself_o i_o will_v sing_v i_o will_v sing_v where_o we_o shall_v observe_v these_o four_o point_n for_o a_o introduction_n 1._o what_o the_o sum_n and_o substance_n of_o a_o magistrate_n employment_n be_v whereupon_o all_o his_o thought_n shall_v be_v set_v that_o it_o be_v mercy_n and_o judgement_n mercy_n be_v his_o work_n towards_o the_o godly_a and_o honest_a judgement_n towards_o the_o ungodly_a and_o dishonest_a towards_o those_o protection_n and_o favour_n be_v the_o work_n of_o mercy_n towards_o these_o to_o discover_v and_o to_o punish_v they_o be_v the_o work_n of_o judgement_n whence_o we_o may_v further_o conclude_v that_o to_o leave_v the_o virtuous_a without_o encouragement_n and_o protection_n or_o the_o wicked_a without_o reproof_n and_o punishment_n be_v not_o only_o want_v of_o judgement_n in_o a_o magistrate_n but_o cruelty_n against_o the_o state_n over_o which_o he_o be_v set_v how_o much_o more_o than_o if_o he_o shall_v persecute_v the_o godly_a and_o favour_v the_o wicked_a 2._o that_o magistrate_n ought_v to_o intend_v the_o performance_n of_o their_o duty_n for_o conscience_n sake_n towards_o god_n and_o not_o for_o any_o other_o design_n of_o their_o own_o as_o many_o use_n to_o do_v for_o david_n here_o set_v himself_o as_o in_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n to_o speak_v and_o make_v profession_n of_o his_o duty_n unto_o he_o unto_o thou_o o_o lord_n say_v he_o will_v i_o sing_v to_o thou_o as_o to_o the_o great_a witness_n of_o the_o sincerity_n of_o my_o heart_n in_o this_o profession_n of_o my_o duty_n and_o to_o thou_o as_o to_o my_o judge_n and_o sovereign_n to_o who_o i_o be_o accountable_a in_o all_o the_o work_n of_o my_o employment_n for_o magistrate_n judge_v not_o for_o man_n but_o for_o the_o lord_n and_o happy_a will_v they_o be_v if_o they_o can_v be_v mindful_a of_o this_o 3._o that_o the_o profession_n which_o magistrate_n make_v of_o their_o duty_n and_o of_o their_o resolution_n ought_v not_o to_o be_v address_v as_o to_o man_n to_o cajole_v they_o with_o fair_a word_n and_o gain_v credit_n with_o they_o but_o as_o to_o god_n in_o the_o nature_n of_o a_o religious_a promise_n to_o bring_v a_o obligation_n voluntary_o upon_o their_o own_o soul_n to_o perform_v their_o duty_n 4._o that_o magistrate_n shall_v undertake_v the_o work_n of_o their_o call_n with_o a_o great_a deal_n of_o cheerfulness_n and_o that_o to_o such_o as_o be_v in_o place_n of_o eminent_a trust_n the_o discharge_n of_o their_o duty_n shall_v be_v the_o chief_a matter_n of_o their_o joy_n for_o we_o see_v here_o with_o what_o
