grace_n wherein_o we_o stand_v this_o then_o serve_v to_o condemn_v the_o miserable_a corruption_n of_o our_o time_n for_o so_o it_o be_v with_o we_o that_o a_o great_a many_o of_o we_o rather_o go_v backward_o and_o grow_v worse_o and_o worse_o then_o better_o and_o better_o many_o which_o seem_v to_o have_v begin_v in_o the_o spirit_n make_v a_o end_n in_o the_o flesh_n which_o seem_v for_o a_o of_o their_o gift_n but_o especial_o for_o that_o the_o lord_n by_o his_o spirit_n have_v enlarge_v their_o heart_n to_o a_o christian_a care_n over_o he_o whence_o i_o observe_v this_o lesson_n for_o we_o that_o when_o any_o do_v relieve_v we_o be_v in_o prison_n poverty_n need_n sickness_n or_o any_o other_o adversity_n we_o be_v not_o so_o much_o to_o rejoice_v in_o the_o gift_n by_o which_o we_o be_v relieve_v but_o especial_o we_o ought_v to_o rejoice_v in_o the_o lord_n for_o that_o he_o have_v vouchsafe_v to_o touch_v their_o heart_n with_o a_o godly_a feel_n of_o our_o want_n and_o a_o christian_a care_n to_o supply_v our_o want_n thankfulness_n unto_o they_o be_v beseem_v and_o requisite_a as_o before_o we_o hear_v but_o our_o special_a care_n shall_v be_v to_o lift_v up_o our_o eye_n unto_o the_o lord_n and_o to_o rejoice_v in_o he_o for_o he_o it_o be_v that_o open_v the_o bowel_n of_o compassion_n &_o touch_v with_o a_o tender_a commiseration_n of_o their_o poor_a and_o needy_a distress_a brethren_n the_o heart_n of_o they_o that_o be_v enrich_v with_o great_a sufficiency_n and_o therefore_o our_o apostle_n in_o many_o of_o his_o epistle_n usual_o thank_v god_n as_o for_o their_o faith_n in_o christ_n jesus_n so_o for_o their_o love_n towards_o all_o saint_n 1.3.4_o col._n 1.3.4_o we_o give_v thanks_n to_o god_n even_o the_o father_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n say_v the_o apostle_n in_o the_o next_o epistle_n since_o we_o hear_v of_o your_o faith_n in_o christ_n jesus_n and_o of_o your_o love_n towards_o all_o saint_n and_o he_o tell_v the_o corinthian_n that_o their_o liberality_n cause_v thanksgiving_n unto_o god_n 9.11_o 2._o cor._n 9.11_o god_n be_v therefore_o to_o be_v bless_v because_o he_o open_v the_o saint_n heart_n to_o relieve_v the_o necessity_n of_o the_o poor_a saint_n first_o therefore_o let_v i_o beseech_v you_o belove_a even_o in_o the_o bowel_n of_o christ_n jesus_n to_o give_v your_o poor_a and_o distress_a brethren_n cause_n to_o rejoice_v in_o the_o lord_n great_o for_o your_o care_n over_o they_o a_o godly_a and_o christian_a care_n of_o late_o have_v be_v take_v by_o the_o whole_a state_n of_o the_o land_n assemble_v in_o parliament_n for_o the_o provision_n of_o the_o poor_a and_o we_o be_v all_o of_o we_o to_o rejoice_v in_o the_o lord_n great_o for_o it_o that_o he_o put_v into_o their_o mind_n such_o a_o holy_a care_n put_v you_o now_o on_o tender_a mercy_n and_o compassion_n and_o let_v your_o care_n likewise_o be_v show_v this_o way_n by_o a_o cheerful_a give_v towards_o the_o relief_n of_o your_o poor_a brethren_n so_o much_o as_o shall_v be_v think_v meet_v for_o you_o that_o the_o back_n and_o belly_n of_o your_o poor_a brethren_n may_v bless_v you_o and_o rejoice_v in_o the_o lord_n for_o you_o if_o you_o shall_v find_v in_o yourselves_o a_o willing_a chearfulnesse_n this_o way_n know_v that_o it_o be_v the_o lord_n that_o have_v open_v your_o heart_n &_o stir_v up_o the_o bowel_n of_o compassion_n within_o you_o and_o look_v whatsoever_o he_o give_v the_o lord_n shall_v recompense_v it_o into_o his_o bosom_n 19.17_o prou._n 19.17_o for_o so_o it_o be_v write_v he_o that_o have_v mercy_n on_o the_o poor_a dare_v to_o the_o lord_n and_o he_o will_v recompense_v he_o that_o which_o he_o have_v give_v but_o if_o you_o shall_v grudge_v to_o set_v forward_o so_o good_a a_o work_n and_o think_v every_o little_a too_o much_o that_o be_v require_v of_o you_o to_o that_o purpose_n know_v that_o the_o lord_n have_v yet_o harden_v your_o heart_n and_o shut_v up_o all_o bowel_n of_o compassion_n within_o you_o and_o as_o now_o the_o poor_a cry_n and_o you_o hear_v not_o so_o the_o day_n shall_v come_v wherein_o you_o shall_v cry_v 21.13_o 21.13_o and_o not_o be_v hear_v for_o so_o it_o be_v write_v he_o that_o stop_v his_o ear_n at_o the_o cry_n of_o the_o poor_a he_o shall_v also_o cry_v and_o not_o be_v hear_v as_o every_o man_n therefore_o have_v receive_v so_o let_v he_o give_v and_o that_o cheerful_o 9.7_o 2._o cor._n 9.7_o for_o god_n love_v a_o cheerful_a giver_n so_o shall_v the_o loin_n of_o the_o poor_a bless_v you_o so_o shall_v they_o rejoice_v in_o the_o lord_n great_o for_o you_o and_o so_o shall_v the_o lord_n make_v all_o his_o grace_n to_o abound_v towards_o you_o second_o let_v i_o exhort_v they_o of_o the_o poor_a sort_n to_o learn_v to_o rejoice_v in_o the_o lord_n for_o the_o care_n which_o he_o stir_v up_o in_o their_o brethren_n for_o they_o it_o be_v too_o too_o common_o see_v in_o many_o of_o you_o that_o as_o you_o want_v the_o wealth_n of_o the_o world_n so_o you_o want_v also_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n you_o sit_v and_o beg_v alm_n and_o relief_n if_o you_o have_v it_o not_o you_o murmur_v and_o grudge_n oftentimes_o you_o ban_v and_o curse_v if_o you_o have_v it_o some_o of_o you_o take_v it_o and_o go_v your_o way_n and_o there_o be_v a_o end_n other_o of_o you_o say_v some_o formal_a word_n from_o the_o tooth_n forward_o but_o who_o be_v he_o or_o where_o be_v he_o that_o have_v receive_v relief_n lift_v up_o his_o eye_n unto_o the_o lord_n and_o rejoice_v in_o he_o for_o that_o it_o have_v please_v he_o to_o work_v in_o their_o brethren_n such_o a_o christian_a care_n over_o they_o who_o be_v he_o or_o where_o be_v he_o that_o be_v send_v away_o without_o relief_n lift_v up_o his_o eye_n unto_o the_o lord_n and_o pray_v unto_o he_o that_o it_o will_v please_v he_o to_o increase_v their_o brethren_n care_n over_o they_o and_o to_o give_v they_o bowel_n of_o compassion_n towards_o they_o without_o murmur_v or_o grudge_v at_o they_o thus_o shall_v you_o do_v and_o then_o sure_o the_o heart_n of_o many_o that_o be_v yet_o harden_v will_v be_v open_v towards_o you_o learn_v therefore_o as_o to_o be_v thankful_a towards_o your_o brethren_n for_o their_o care_n over_o you_o so_o principal_o to_o thank_v the_o lord_n and_o to_o rejoice_v in_o he_o for_o the_o care_n which_o he_o stir_v up_o in_o they_o for_o you_o learn_v to_o think_v on_o he_o to_o bless_v he_o to_o rejoice_v in_o he_o more_o than_o any_o great_a many_o of_o you_o do_v look_v not_o only_o to_o the_o spring_n so_o their_o care_n which_o for_o a_o time_n languish_v and_o decay_a now_o again_o reviue_v and_o quicken_v in_o they_o whence_o i_o observe_v this_o lesson_n for_o our_o learning_n that_o even_o in_o the_o faithful_a and_o dear_a child_n of_o god_n love_n and_o charity_n and_o other_o good_a grace_n of_o god_n spirit_n be_v not_o always_o alike_o orient_a and_o eminent_a not_o always_o
