to_o ask_v the_o delivery_n of_o barrabas_n 23._o the_o seditious_a murderer_n &_o to_o sue_v for_o the_o cruel_a crucifi_a of_o our_o saviour_n christ_n for_o that_o he_o rebuke_v the_o ambition_n suberstion_n and_o other_o vice_n of_o the_o high_a priest_n and_o clergy_n for_o as_o our_o 8._o saviour_n christ_n testify_v that_o those_o who_o crucify_v he_o wist_v not_o what_o they_o do_v so_o do_v the_o holy_a apostle_n saint_n paul_n say_v if_o they_o have_v know_v if_o they_o have_v not_o be_v ignorant_a they_o will_v never_o have_v crucify_v the_o lord_n of_o glory_n but_o they_o know_v not_o what_o they_o do_v our_o saviour_n christ_n himself_o 23._o also_o foreshow_v that_o it_o shall_v come_v to_o pass_v by_o ignorance_n that_o those_o who_o shall_v persecute_v and_o murder_v they_o and_o by_o keep_v it_o under_o the_o vale_n of_o a_o unknown_a strange_a tongue_n for_o as_o it_o serve_v the_o ambitious_a humour_n of_o the_o bishop_n of_o rome_n to_o compel_v all_o nation_n to_o use_v the_o natural_a language_n of_o the_o city_n of_o rome_n where_o they_o be_v bishop_n which_o show_v a_o certain_a acknowledge_v of_o subjection_n unto_o they_o so_o yet_o serve_v it_o much_o more_o their_o crafty_a purpose_n thereby_o to_o keep_v all_o people_n so_o blind_a that_o they_o not_o know_v what_o they_o pray_v what_o they_o believe_v what_o they_o be_v command_v by_o can_v not_o be_v acceptable_a before_o god_n for_o whatsoever_o be_v not_o of_o faith_n be_v sin_n and_o the_o apostle_n say_v 10._o that_o faith_n come_v by_o hear_v and_o hear_v by_o the_o word_n about_o to_o prove_v it_o by_o the_o nature_n of_o charity_n conclude_v that_o because_o they_o do_v pray_v for_o man_n on_o earth_n therefore_o they_o do_v much_o more_o the_o same_o now_o in_o heaven_n then_o may_v it_o be_v say_v by_o the_o same_o reason_n that_o as_o oft_o as_o we_o do_v weep_v on_o earth_n they_o do_v also_o weep_v in_o heaven_n because_o while_o they_o live_v in_o this_o world_n it_o be_v most_o certain_a and_o sure_a they_o do_v so_o and_o for_o that_o place_n which_o be_v write_v in_o the_o apocalips_n namely_o that_o the_o angel_n do_v offer_v up_o the_o prayer_n of_o the_o saint_n upon_o the_o golden_a altar_n it_o be_v proper_o mean_v and_o ought_v proper_o to_o be_v understand_v of_o those_o saint_n that_o be_v yet_o live_v on_o earth_n and_o not_o of_o they_o that_o be_v dead_a otherwise_o what_o need_n be_v it_o that_o the_o angel_n shall_v offer_v up_o their_o prayer_n be_v now_o in_o heaven_n before_o the_o face_n of_o aimightie_a god_n desire_v which_o thing_n to_o be_v false_a it_o be_v already_o prove_v both_o by_o the_o scripture_n and_o also_o by_o the_o authority_n of_o augustine_n let_v we_o not_o therefore_o put_v our_o trust_n or_o confidence_n in_o the_o saint_n or_o martyr_n that_o be_v dead_a let_v we_o not_o call_v upon_o they_o nor_o desire_v help_n at_o their_o hand_n but_o let_v we_o always_o lift_v up_o our_o heart_n to_o god_o in_o the_o name_n of_o his_o dear_a son_n christ_n for_o who_o sake_n as_o god_n have_v promise_v to_o hear_v our_o prayer_n so_o he_o will_v true_o perform_v it_o invocation_n be_v a_o thing_n proper_a unto_o god_n which_o if_o we_o attribute_v unto_o the_o saint_n it_o sound_v to_o their_o reproach_n neither_o can_v they_o well_o bear_v it_o at_o our_o hand_n when_o paul_n have_v 14._o heal_v a_o certain_a lame_a man_n which_o be_v impotent_a in_o his_o foot_n at_o listra_n the_o people_n will_v have_v do_v sacrifice_n to_o he_o and_o barnabas_n who_o rent_v their_o clothes_n refuse_v it_o and_o exhort_v they_o to_o worship_v the_o true_a god._n likewise_o in_o the_o revelation_n when_o saint_n john_n fall_v before_o the_o angel_n foot_n to_o shall_v be_v not_o only_o full_a and_o perfect_a man_n but_o also_o full_a and_o perfect_a god_o to_o the_o intent_n he_o may_v more_o full_o and_o perfect_o make_v satisfaction_n for_o mankind_n god_n say_v this_o be_v my_o well-beloved_a 3._o son_n in_o who_o i_o be_o well_o please_v by_o which_o place_n we_o learn_v that_o christ_n appease_v and_o quench_v the_o wrath_n of_o his_o father_n of_o no_o value_n if_o they_o be_v not_o allow_v in_o the_o merit_n of_o christ_n death_n all_o our_o righteousness_n be_v far_o unperfect_a if_o it_o be_v compare_v with_o christ_n righteousness_n
