light_n and_o create_v darkness_n i_o make_v peace_n and_o create_v evil_a i_o the_o lord_n do_v all_o these_o thing_n 45.6,7_o if_o a_o man_n ask_v thou_o how_o thou_o know_v the_o true_a god_n that_o in_o it_o we_o may_v see_v and_o discern_v god_n power_n wisdom_n love_n mercy_n and_o providence_n and_o all_o his_o attribute_n and_o in_o all_o thing_n his_o glory_n this_o be_v a_o most_o necessary_a duty_n to_o be_v learn_v of_o every_o man_n we_o think_v nothing_o too_o much_o or_o too_o good_a to_o bestow_v on_o vain_a show_n and_o play_n idle_a sport_n and_o pastime_n which_o be_v the_o vanity_n of_o man_n and_o we_o do_v most_o willing_o behold_v they_o in_o the_o mean_a season_n utter_o neglect_v and_o contemn_v the_o glorious_a work_n of_o god_n creation_n well_o the_o lord_n god_n have_v appoint_v his_o sabbath_n to_o be_v sanctify_v not_o only_o by_o the_o public_a ministry_n of_o the_o word_n and_o by_o private_a prayer_n but_o also_o by_o a_o especial_a consideration_n and_o meditation_n of_o god_n creature_n and_o therefore_o the_o duty_n of_o every_o man_n be_v this_o distinct_o and_o serious_o to_o view_v and_o consider_v the_o creature_n of_o god_n and_o thereby_o take_v occasion_n to_o glorify_v his_o name_n by_o ascribe_v unto_o he_o the_o wisdom_n glory_n power_n and_o omnipotency_n that_o be_v due_a unto_o he_o and_o appear_v in_o the_o use_n and_o view_v of_o god_n creature_n we_o do_v return_v due_a glory_n praise_n and_o honour_n unto_o the_o creator_n our_o four_o duty_n be_v set_v down_o by_o the_o prophet_n amos_n who_o the_o body_n but_o for_o the_o soul_n they_o care_v little_a or_o nothing_o at_o all_o whether_o it_o sink_v or_o swim_v go_v to_o heaven_n or_o to_o hell_n they_o respect_v not_o this_o do_v appear_v to_o be_v true_a by_o the_o practice_n and_o behaviour_n of_o man_n on_o the_o lord_n day_n for_o if_o the_o number_n of_o those_o which_o come_v to_o hear_v god_n word_n be_v compare_v with_o those_o which_o run_v about_o their_o worldly_a wealth_n and_o pleasure_n i_o fear_v i_o the_o better_a sort_n will_v be_v find_v to_o be_v but_o a_o little_a handful_n to_o a_o huge_a heap_n or_o as_o a_o drop_n to_o the_o ocean_n sea_n in_o respect_n of_o the_o other_o but_o will_v thou_o go_v a_o hundred_o mile_n for_o the_o increase_n of_o thy_o wealth_n and_o delight_n of_o thy_o body_n then_o think_v it_o not_o much_o to_o go_v ten_o thousand_o mile_n if_o need_n be_v to_o take_v any_o pain_n for_o the_o good_a of_o thy_o soul_n and_o to_o get_v food_n for_o the_o same_o it_o be_v everlasting_a and_o thus_o much_o for_o the_o duty_n now_o follow_v the_o consolation_n although_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o fall_n of_o man_n we_o can_v have_v but_o little_a comfort_n now_o yet_o the_o creation_n do_v confirm_v the_o unspeakable_a providence_n of_o god_n over_o his_o creature_n but_o especial_o over_o man_n in_o that_o the_o lord_n create_v he_o the_o six_o day_n and_o so_o before_o he_o be_v make_v prepare_v for_o he_o a_o paradise_n for_o his_o dwell_a place_n and_o all_o creature_n for_o his_o use_n and_o comfort_n and_o if_o he_o be_v thus_o careful_a for_o we_o when_o we_o be_v not_o than_o no_o doubt_n he_o will_v be_v much_o more_o careful_a for_o we_o at_o this_o present_a in_o which_o we_o live_v and_o have_v be_v nay_o mark_v further_o since_o the_o fall_n man_n eat_v and_o drink_v in_o quantity_n a_o great_a deal_n which_o in_o common_a reason_n shall_v rather_o kill_v he_o then_o turn_v to_o the_o strength_n and_o nourishment_n of_o his_o body_n yet_o herein_o do_v the_o wonderful_a power_n of_o the_o creator_n most_o notable_o appear_v who_o have_v make_v man_n stomach_n as_o a_o limbeck_n or_o still_o to_o digest_v all_o meat_n that_o be_v wholesome_a for_o his_o nourishment_n and_o preservation_n and_o thus_o much_o for_o the_o creation_n now_o in_o these_o word_n maker_n of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n be_v more_o to_o be_v for_o beast_n and_o cattle_n beast_n and_o cattle_n serve_v for_o man_n the_o heaven_n above_o serve_v for_o they_o which_o be_v beneath_o and_o all_o the_o creature_n which_o be_v above_o and_o beneath_o serve_v for_o god_n this_o argue_v that_o god_n be_v most_o wise_a and_o provident_a in_o order_v and_o dispose_v all_o thing_n whatsoever_o the_o three_o argument_n be_v take_v from_o the_o conscience_n special_o of_o malefactor_n suppose_v a_o man_n that_o commit_v a_o murder_n so_o close_o that_o no_o man_n know_v thereof_o and_o that_o the_o party_n himself_o be_v free_a from_o all_o there_o be_v a_o providence_n of_o god_n whereby_o all_o and_o everything_n be_v govern_v against_o the_o providence_n of_o god_n sundry_a thing_n be_v allege_v the_o first_o and_o special_a be_v that_o providence_n and_o disorder_n confusion_n and_o order_n can_v not_o stand_v together_o now_o in_o the_o world_n there_o be_v nothing_o but_o disorder_n and_o confusion_n in_o sedition_n treason_n conspiracy_n and_o subversion_n of_o kingdom_n where_o also_o sin_n and_o wickedness_n prevail_v ans._n it_o be_v true_a indeed_o there_o have_v be_v confusion_n in_o the_o world_n ever_o since_o the_o fall_n of_o man_n and_o angel_n and_o it_o arise_v not_o from_o god_n but_o from_o they_o alone_o who_o as_o they_o do_v at_o the_o first_o transgress_v the_o will_n of_o god_n so_o they_o do_v what_o they_o can_v to_o turn_v all_o upside_o down_o now_o then_o coufusion_n &_o disorder_n be_v only_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o devil_n and_o his_o instrument_n but_o in_o regard_n of_o god_n
this_o order_n touch_v man_n that_o what_o evil_a or_o defect_n soever_o he_o bring_v upon_o himself_o he_o shall_v derive_v the_o same_o to_o every_o one_o of_o his_o posterity_n beget_v of_o he_o and_o hereupon_o when_o any_o father_n beget_v his_o child_n he_o be_v in_o the_o room_n of_o adam_n and_o convey_v unto_o it_o beside_o the_o nature_n of_o man_n the_o very_a guilt_n and_o for_o we_o unless_o he_o have_v first_o of_o all_o be_v sanctify_v neither_o can_v we_o be_v fit_a member_n unto_o he_o unless_o we_o be_v purge_v of_o our_o sin_n and_o in_o some_o measure_n true_o
