to_o remind_v the_o heathen_n of_o their_o own_o author_n as_o aratus_n menander_n etc._n etc._n by_o a_o apt_a application_n of_o they_o to_o this_o purpose_n in_o defence_n of_o his_o doctrine_n by_o authority_n from_o god_n the_o scripture_n reason_n and_o the_o first_o ibid._n reformer_n too_o that_o no_o man_n on_o earth_n can_v understand_v they_o but_o by_o be_v first_o bring_v to_o the_o everlasting_a word_n of_o god_n nigh_o in_o the_o heart_n by_o which_o the_o lord_n speak_v forth_o his_o will_n to_o the_o creature_n and_o the_o scripture_n themselves_o direct_v to_o this_o and_o never_o say_v that_o of_o themselves_o some_o over_n priest_n assert_v concern_v they_o who_o whole_a end_n be_v this_o that_o by_o exalt_v the_o letter_n and_o exclude_v the_o spirit_n they_o may_v lock_v up_o all_o knowledge_n in_o their_o own_o areanum_fw-la and_o plead_v the_o impossibility_n of_o know_v the_o thing_n of_o god_n any_o other_o way_n then_o by_o their_o literal_a ministration_n for_o shall_v man_n be_v but_o turn_v to_o the_o certain_a witness_n of_o god_n in_o their_o own_o conscience_n there_o place_v of_o the_o lord_n their_o whole_a trade_n power_n and_o reputation_n will_v fall_v and_o their_o deceit_n be_v make_v manifest_a in_o the_o view_n of_o the_o world_n which_o god_n the_o righteous_a judge_n of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n be_v now_o accomplish_v §_o 2._o but_o he_o say_v that_o j._n parnel_n censure_v such_o that_o draw_v people_n mind_n from_o the_o light_n 79._o within_o to_o the_o light_n without_o put_v the_o letter_n for_o or_o look_v into_o they_o behold_v your_o priest_n you_o that_o hear_v he_o be_v this_o man_n to_o be_v account_v of_o as_o a_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n that_o thus_o unrighteous_o deal_v with_o we_o but_o god_n will_v recompense_v upon_o his_o head_n in_o the_o day_n of_o his_o terrible_a vengeance_n for_o all_o his_o hard_a and_o ungodly_a say_n against_o we_o we_o do_v say_v and_o that_o right_o whoever_o put_v the_o letter_n in_o opposition_n to_o or_o above_o the_o spirit_n be_v a_o idolater_n for_o there_o can_v be_v no_o comparison_n right_o make_v between_o they_o the_o heaven_n upon_o they_o the_o ministry_n that_o have_v neither_o learn_v by_o true_a mortification_n to_o be_v holy_a nor_o receive_v any_o power_n from_o heaven_n to_o be_v minister_n but_o explode_v both_o as_o to_o the_o present_a age_n and_o teach_v for_o hire_n and_o divine_a for_o money_n be_v not_o of_o christ_n make_n but_o their_o own_o and_o therefore_o to_o be_v deny_v and_o thus_o much_o j._n
