10._o in_o eternity_n there_o will_v be_v no_o mixture_n in_o the_o other_o world_n there_o be_v all_o pure_a love_n or_o all_o pure_a wrath_n all_o sweet_a or_o all_o bitter_a without_o all_o pain_n or_o without_o all_o ease_n without_o all_o misery_n or_o without_o all_o happiness_n not_o partly_o at_o ease_n and_o partly_o in_o pain_n partly_o happy_a and_o partly_o miserable_a but_o all_o the_o one_o or_o the_o other_o this_o life_n be_v a_o middle_a place_n betwixt_o heaven_n and_o hell_n and_o here_o we_o partake_v of_o some_o good_a and_o some_o evil_n no_o judgement_n on_o this_o side_n hell_n upon_o the_o worst_a of_o man_n but_o there_o be_v some_o mercy_n mix_v with_o it_o for_o it_o be_v mercy_n they_o be_v yet_o on_o this_o side_n hell_n and_o no_o condition_n on_o this_o side_n heaven_n but_o there_o be_v some_o evil_n mix_v with_o it_o for_o till_o we_o get_v to_o heaven_n we_o shall_v have_v sin_n in_o we_o in_o heaven_n all_o be_v good_a in_o hell_n all_o be_v bad_a on_o earth_n some_o good_a but_o more_o bad_a in_o hell_n misery_n without_o mixture_n of_o mercy_n or_o of_o hope_n they_o have_v no_o mercy_n and_o that_o be_v bad_a and_o they_o can_v hope_v great_a goodness_n ii_o take_v notice_n wherein_o christianity_n excel_v philosophy_n proper_o use_v two_o so_o call_v the_o one_o direct_v we_o the_o way_n to_o communion_n with_o god_n which_o the_o other_o can_v do_v philosophy_n speak_v nothing_o of_o the_o mediator_n the_o man_n christ_n jesus_n by_o who_o alone_o we_o can_v draw_v nigh_o to_o god_n philosophy_n improve_v the_o principle_n of_o mere_a nature_n but_o can_v confer_v a_o new_a nature_n do_v not_o infuse_v such_o principle_n as_o the_o gospel_n do_v to_o lead_v man_n into_o communion_n with_o god_n philosophy_n whether_o natural_a or_o moral_a have_v a_o excellency_n in_o it_o in_o its_o proper_a sphere_n but_o yet_o fall_v far_o short_a of_o christianity_n the_o principle_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o the_o mystery_n of_o faith_n wherein_o man_n be_v lead_v to_o the_o true_a knowledge_n of_o god_n and_o fellowship_n with_o he_o iii_o this_o may_v be_v matter_n of_o lamentation_n in_o this_o profane_a and_o apostate_n use_v iii_o age_n that_o there_o be_v so_o little_a of_o this_o communion_n with_o god_n to_o be_v find_v among_o man_n some_o understand_v not_o what_o it_o be_v some_o desire_v it_o not_o nor_o seek_v after_o it_o some_o have_v lose_v what_o once_o they_o have_v and_o some_o deride_v and_o scoff_n at_o it_o as_o a_o foolish_a fancy_n a_o dream_n a_o delusion_n of_o some_o fanatic_a people_n though_o some_o may_v pretend_v to_o it_o that_o have_v it_o not_o yet_o god_n forbid_v we_o shall_v deny_v it_o the_o apostle_n in_o the_o text_n assert_v it_o and_o the_o experience_n of_o real_a christian_n in_o all_o age_n bear_v witness_v to_o it_o and_o if_o it_o be_v not_o a_o fancy_n but_o a_o real_a thing_n i_o be_o sure_a it_o be_v the_o most_o solemn_a and_o important_a thing_n speculation_n with_o fine_a language_n strain_n of_o rhetoric_n well_o compile_v form_n of_o devotion_n and_o look_v no_o far_o 8._o other_o give_v way_n to_o wander_a thought_n and_o serve_v god_n with_o a_o distract_a mind_n whereby_o their_o heart_n be_v carry_v from_o god_n even_o while_o they_o be_v serve_v of_o he_o 9_o other_o make_v religion_n mere_a matter_n of_o discourse_n please_v themselves_o to_o talk_v of_o it_o and_o that_o be_v all_o 10._o and_o last_o other_o be_v fall_v into_o down_o right_a atheism_n question_n god_n very_o be_v and_o indeed_o be_v of_o no_o religion_n at_o all_o and_o can_v have_v no_o communion_n with_o the_o deity_n which_o they_o doubt_v of_o or_o deny_v now_o be_v not_o this_o to_o be_v lament_v for_o man_n to_o have_v no_o communion_n with_o
