ungodliness_n and_o signal_o declare_v he_o as_o a_o unbeliever_n so_o a_o wicked_a and_o profane_a person_n therefore_o i_o shall_v much_o question_v the_o sincerity_n of_o their_o faith_n and_o piety_n who_o make_v a_o profession_n of_o religion_n show_v little_a or_o no_o charity_n to_o the_o poor_a member_n of_o christ._n for_o as_o the_o apostle_n james_n speak_v c._n 1._o v._n 21._o pure_a religion_n and_o undefield_n before_o god_n and_o the_o father_n be_v this_o to_o visit_v the_o fatherless_a and_o widow_n in_o their_o affliction_n imply_v that_o work_v of_o mercy_n and_o charity_n right_o perform_v be_v clear_a evidence_n of_o the_o truth_n of_o our_o religion_n and_o of_o the_o sincerity_n of_o our_o profession_n and_o if_o you_o look_v into_o the_o scripture_n you_o shall_v scarce_o read_v of_o a_o man_n true_o godly_a but_o you_o may_v read_v also_o that_o he_o be_v merciful_a and_o charitable_a forward_o to_o every_o good_a work_n so_o much_o shall_v suffice_v for_o this_o point_n of_o doctrine_n a_o word_n or_o two_o for_o my_o brethren_n sake_n of_o the_o first_o doctrine_n raise_v from_o the_o forego_n verse_n which_o be_v the_o principal_a point_n there_o intend_v by_o our_o saviour_n which_o be_v this_o 17._o that_o all_o needful_a succour_n and_o good_a entertainment_n ought_v to_o be_v afford_v in_o special_a to_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n our_o saviour_n in_o commend_v object_n to_o our_o charity_n in_o the_o first_o place_n mention_v prophet_n and_o the_o righteous_a one_o say_v he_o that_o receive_v a_o prophet_n in_o the_o name_n of_o a_o prophet_n shall_v receive_v a_o prophet_n reward_n and_o then_o add_v he_o that_o receive_v a_o righteous_a man_n in_o the_o name_n of_o a_o righteous_a man_n etc._n etc._n indeed_o so_o general_a must_v be_v the_o extent_n and_o emanation_n of_o our_o charity_n that_o it_o must_v not_o exclude_v any_o who_o be_v in_o want_n and_o distress_n for_o though_o we_o may_v and_o aught_o to_o put_v a_o difference_n between_o man_n upon_o who_o we_o bestow_v our_o charity_n yet_o ought_v we_o not_o to_o restrain_v it_o from_o any_o man_n who_o be_v in_o want_n but_o must_v
