they_o as_o it_o be_v for_o those_o to_o be_v thankful_a who_o have_v no_o sense_n of_o they_o but_o this_o be_v not_o all_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o to_o thank_v god_n on_o this_o wise_a the_o natural_a consequence_n of_o what_o he_o have_v do_v for_o we_o be_v to_o deny_v ungodliness_n and_o worldly_a lust_n to_o have_v no_o fellowship_n with_o the_o unfruitful_a work_n of_o darkness_n but_o to_o walk_v as_o child_n of_o the_o light_n and_o of_o the_o day_n the_o time_n of_o darkness_n be_v time_n of_o ignorance_n and_o therefore_o god_n wink_v at_o they_o but_o now_o since_o the_o light_n of_o the_o gospel_n be_v shed_v abroad_o he_o command_v all_o man_n every_o where_o to_o repent_v our_o duty_n rise_v in_o proportion_n to_o the_o mean_v god_n have_v furnish_v we_o with_o for_o the_o performance_n of_o it_o this_o every_o body_n be_v sensible_a of_o this_o make_v wicked_a man_n so_o natural_o plead_v ignorance_n this_o make_v man_n shut_v their_o eye_n so_o hard_o against_o the_o light_n of_o the_o gospel_n as_o be_v conscious_a they_o be_v without_o excuse_n if_o the_o light_n real_o shine_v upon_o they_o and_o they_o see_v it_o do_v so_o and_o yet_o still_o work_v the_o work_n of_o darkness_n now_o if_o this_o be_v so_o if_o our_o duty_n increase_v as_o the_o light_n do_v that_o be_v give_v we_o to_o work_v by_o then_o be_v they_o under_o the_o great_a obligation_n who_o enjoy_v most_o of_o this_o light_n and_o therefore_o as_o the_o jewish_a dispensation_n oblige_v they_o to_o a_o great_a perfection_n and_o holiness_n than_o what_o the_o heathen_a world_n know_v so_o do_v christianity_n oblige_v we_o to_o a_o great_a than_o either_o we_o be_v teach_v that_o except_o our_o righteousness_n exceed_v the_o righteousness_n of_o the_o scribe_n and_o pharisee_n we_o shall_v in_o no_o case_n enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n by_o the_o same_o argument_n a_o great_a degree_n of_o piety_n charity_n and_o other_o virtue_n will_v be_v require_v of_o some_o part_n of_o the_o christian_a world_n above_o other_o in_o as_o much_o as_o they_o enjoy_v great_a light_n pure_a and_o less_o corrupt_v by_o superstition_n ignorance_n and_o the_o remain_v of_o ancient_a heathenism_n this_o be_v the_o case_n of_o the_o reform_a church_n in_o comparison_n not_o only_o of_o the_o roman_a but_o of_o any_o other_o christian_a church_n now_o in_o be_v and_o if_o all_o the_o reform_a church_n enjoy_v not_o a_o equal_a light_n we_o have_v no_o reason_n to_o think_v any_o of_o they_o on_o this_o account_n more_o happy_a than_o our_o own_o and_o indeed_o we_o be_v apt_a enough_o to_o own_o this_o and_o please_v ourselves_o with_o the_o thought_n of_o be_v of_o so_o pure_a a_o church_n where_o we_o have_v the_o word_n of_o god_n constant_o read_v and_o preach_v to_o we_o frequent_a sacrament_n and_o daily_a prayer_n we_o be_v breed_v up_o to_o a_o rational_a and_o intelligible_a devotion_n we_o want_v neither_o the_o substance_n nor_o form_n of_o godliness_n we_o be_v teach_v to_o serve_v god_n with_o the_o pure_a worship_n and_o in_o the_o most_o decent_a manner_n but_o it_o be_v strange_a to_o see_v man_n cry_v up_o this_o church_n and_o value_v themselves_o for_o be_v member_n of_o it_o and_o yet_o not_o see_v at_o the_o same_o time_n how_o much_o more_o they_o have_v on_o this_o account_n to_o answer_v for_o how_o by_o this_o mean_v the_o great_a plea_n of_o not_o know_v or_o not_o be_v teach_v their_o duty_n be_v whole_o take_v from_o they_o but_o i_o must_v not_o stop_v here_o the_o gradation_n from_o heathenism_n to_o judaisme_n and_o from_o thence_o to_o christianity_n in_o general_n then_o to_o the_o reform_a part_n of_o it_o and_o last_o of_o all_o to_o our_o own_o church_n this_o gradation_n must_v still_o be_v carry_v one_o step_n high_o from_o our_o church_n to_o the_o eye_n of_o it_o the_o university_n here_o we_o meet_v with_o great_a much_o great_a mean_n of_o know_v and_o do_v our_o duty_n than_o any_o other_o place_v any_o where_o afford_v and_o who_o do_v not_o see_v the_o consequence_n of_o this_o be_v a_o man_n who_o have_v never_o see_v or_o hear_v of_o such_o a_o place_n as_o this_o before_o for_o the_o first_o time_n make_v acquaint_v with_o the_o institution_n and_o design_n of_o it_o the_o law_n we_o be_v govern_v by_o the_o care_n and_o discipline_n and_o method_n of_o instruction_n and_o last_o the_o great_a and_o good_a example_n we_o live_v under_o how_o will_v he_o long_o after_o the_o original_a of_o so_o fair_a a_o picture_n how_o desirous_a will_v he_o be_v to_o see_v this_o beauty_n
