14._o and_o in_o many_o other_o place_n as_o i_o say_v the_o communion_n of_o the_o saint_n be_v a_o article_n of_o your_o creed_n tell_v we_o then_o where_o they_o be_v if_o these_o be_v not_o they_o will_v you_o go_v to_o the_o quaker_n or_o to_o the_o papist_n monk_n and_o nun_n for_o they_o or_o whither_o will_v you_o go_v or_o will_v you_o say_v that_o such_o as_o you_o be_v the_o saint_n that_o reproach_n holiness_n and_o refuse_v to_o lead_v a_o holy_a life_n be_v idle_a worldly_a discourse_n a_o better_a sign_n of_o a_o saint_n then_o keep_v holy_a the_o lord_n day_n and_o labour_v for_o salvation_n be_v ignorance_n of_o the_o scripture_n or_o neglect_v it_o a_o great_a sign_n of_o a_o saint_n then_o meditate_v in_o it_o day_n and_o night_n read_v the_o first_o psalm_n yea_o all_o the_o scripture_n and_o then_o judge_v quest._n 13._o do_v you_o think_v if_o any_o of_o they_o miscarry_v it_o be_v because_o they_o be_v too_o much_o religious_a or_o rather_o because_o they_o be_v too_o little_a sure_o it_o be_v the_o late_a for_o as_o i_o say_v their_o religion_n severe_o condemn_v covetousness_n and_o therefore_o if_o they_o be_v more_o religious_a they_o will_v be_v less_o covetous_a and_o he_o that_o be_v most_o godly_a be_v least_o worldly_a and_o ordinary_o he_o that_o be_v most_o ungodly_a be_v most_o worldly_a quest._n 14._o be_v it_o not_o then_o evident_a that_o other_o man_n sin_n shall_v move_v you_o to_o be_v the_o more_o religious_a and_o careful_a of_o yourselves_o and_o not_o the_o less_o if_o you_o see_v they_o stumble_v you_o shall_v look_v the_o better_a to_o your_o foot_n and_o not_o cast_v yourselves_o headlong_o from_o the_o rock_n that_o you_o shall_v be_v build_v upon_o you_o shall_v think_v with_o yourselves_o if_o such_o man_n be_v so_o faulty_a for_o all_o the_o pain_n they_o take_v how_o much_o more_o pain_n must_v i_o take_v to_o escape_v such_o fault_n if_o they_o that_o run_v so_o hard_a shall_v many_o of_o they_o miss_v of_o the_o prize_n by_o come_v short_a it_o be_v a_o mad_a conceit_n of_o you_o to_o think_v to_o win_v it_o by_o sit_v still_o or_o do_v less_o than_o they_o that_o lose_v it_o quest._n 15._o last_o i_o will_v advise_v you_o to_o consider_v whether_o god_n that_o justify_v his_o servant_n will_v suffer_v you_o to_o condemn_v they_o and_o how_o you_o can_v answer_v the_o challenge_n rom._n 8._o 32_o 33._o and_o when_o christ_n have_v shed_v his_o blood_n to_o absolve_v they_o whether_o be_v it_o likely_a that_o he_o will_v take_v it_o well_o at_o they_o that_o vilify_v they_o be_v it_o take_v pleasure_n in_o they_o that_o fear_v he_o in_o those_o that_o hope_v in_o his_o mercy_n psalm_n 147._o 11._o he_o be_v nigh_o to_o all_o they_o that_o call_v upon_o he_o to_o they_o that_o and_o that_o you_o will_v never_o be_v able_a to_o stop_v the_o mouth_n of_o all_o such_o man_n till_o grace_n or_o judgement_n stop_v they_o yet_o see_v that_o you_o walk_v circumspect_o in_o such_o evil_a day_n and_o give_v no_o offence_n to_o jew_n or_o gentile_n or_o the_o church_n of_o god_n if_o you_o be_v christian_n indeed_o you_o can_v take_v the_o riches_n or_o honour_n of_o the_o world_n to_o be_v matter_n of_o so_o much_o worth_n or_o weight_n as_o to_o be_v prefer_v before_o the_o honour_n of_o your_o lord_n and_o the_o good_a of_o soul_n it_o will_v grieve_v you_o more_o to_o hear_v the_o reproach_n of_o the_o ungodly_a against_o the_o way_n and_o servant_n of_o god_n than_o all_o your_o wealth_n will_v do_v you_o good_a do_v it_o not_o go_v to_o your_o heart_n to_o hear_v poor_a blind_a sinner_n on_o all_o occasion_n reproach_v your_o holy_a profession_n and_o say_v there_o be_v none_o more_o proud_a and_o covetous_a and_o unmerciful_a than_o these_o professor_n of_o so_o much_o strictness_n and_o holiness_n though_o for_o the_o general_a it_o be_v a_o malignant_a satanical_a slander_n yet_o take_v heed_n as_o you_o love_v the_o honour_n of_o god_n and_o of_o his_o holy_a truth_n and_o way_n and_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n that_o you_o give_v not_o occasion_n of_o such_o reproach_n sect_n xxii_o use_v for_o consolation_n and_o further_a persuasion_n have_v say_v this_o much_o to_o you_o for_o the_o crucify_a the_o world_n and_o the_o use_v it_o as_o a_o crucify_a thing_n i_o shall_v here_o brief_o enumerate_v some_o of_o the_o great_a benefit_n which_o will_v follow_v to_o yourselves_o where_o this_o be_v do_v and_o this_o i_o shall_v do_v in_o order_n to_o these_o two_o end_n conjunct_o 1._o that_o those_o to_o who_o the_o world_n be_v crucify_v may_v lay_v to_o heart_n the_o greatness_n of_o the_o mercy_n &_o be_v thankful_a to_o god_n that_o have_v do_v so_o much_o for_o they_o there_o be_v the_o great_a need_n of_o encouragement_n and_o comfort_n to_o the_o soul_n in_o our_o crucifixion_n to_o the_o world_n because_o it_o be_v a_o state_n of_o so_o much_o suffer_v to_o the_o body_n and_o a_o work_n that_o require_v so_o much_o self-denial_n and_o patience_n who_o will_v be_v persuade_v to_o cast_v all_o overboard_o and_o forsake_v all_o the_o pleasure_n and_o profit_n of_o this_o world_n but_o he_o that_o know_v of_o somewhat_o to_o be_v get_v by_o it_o that_o will_v make_v he_o a_o gainer_n or_o a_o saver_n in_o the_o end_n
