thus_o the_o scpipture_n have_v take_v notice_n of_o this_o cause_n also_o of_o the_o enmity_n in_o the_o breast_n of_o wicked_a man_n and_o of_o their_o persecute_v spirit_n against_o the_o saint_n in_o those_o day_n 7thly_a there_o be_v yet_o a_o seven_o cause_n or_o rise_v of_o the_o enmity_n and_o persecute_v practice_n of_o these_o against_o the_o saint_n which_o those_o divine_a record_n have_v set_v down_o in_o it_o that_o be_v the_o private_a profit_n and_o gain_n that_o some_o man_n have_v by_o some_o religion_n then_o profess_v or_o some_o other_o way_n then_o in_o esteem_n among_o the_o people_n which_o gain_n be_v by_o christ_n or_o the_o apostle_n preach_v of_o the_o truth_n abate_v or_o in_o danger_n of_o be_v go_v they_o be_v set_v in_o a_o rage_n against_o the_o truth_n and_o against_o all_o those_o who_o preach_v it_o or_o believe_v and_o embrace_v it_o they_o can_v not_o bear_v with_o the_o thought_n of_o their_o gain_n be_v take_v away_o therefore_o do_v persecute_v and_o endeavour_v to_o destroy_v the_o apostle_n and_o other_o and_o use_v all_o mean_n to_o prevent_v the_o spread_a of_o their_o doctrine_n this_o very_a thing_n put_v the_o silversmith_n upon_o stir_v up_o the_o people_n who_o be_v the_o great_a adorer_n of_o diana_n act._n 19_o not_o their_o zeal_n for_o diana_n so_o much_o as_o for_o their_o profit_n when_o paul_n there_o have_v preach_v in_o asia_n and_o turn_v people_n from_o the_o worship_v of_o false_a god_n the_o silversmith_n present_o apprehend_v that_o this_o will_v bring_v diana_n their_o goddess_n into_o disesteem_a that_o people_n will_v not_o worship_v she_o any_o more_o and_o then_o farewell_n their_o gain_n which_o matter_n so_o trouble_v they_o that_o it_o be_v say_v thus_o there_o v._o 23._o that_o there_o be_v no_o small_a stir_n about_o this_o way_n and_o in_o the_o next_o verse_n that_o demetrius_n who_o make_v the_o silver_n shrine_v to_o diana_n bring_v no_o small_a gain_n to_o the_o craftsman_n who_o he_o call_v together_o and_o say_v unto_o they_o you_o know_v that_o by_o this_o craft_n we_o have_v our_o wealth_n and_o paul_n have_v say_v they_o be_v no_o god_n which_o those_o age_n of_o the_o world_n do_v hate_n and_o persecute_v the_o saint_n 8thly_a yet_o further_o these_o divine_a record_n have_v take_v notice_n of_o a_o eight_o cause_n or_o spring_n from_o whence_o ill_a man_n spirit_n be_v move_v against_o the_o good_a or_o from_o whence_o many_o be_v engage_v in_o persecute_v and_o destroy_v of_o they_o that_o be_v from_o a_o fear_n of_o or_o desire_v to_o please_v and_o gratify_v other_o some_o great_a man_n or_o man_n of_o power_n who_o be_v themselves_o full_a of_o envy_n and_o malice_n against_o the_o saint_n and_o do_v persecute_v they_o and_o thereby_o to_o secure_v to_o themselves_o the_o good_a opinion_n of_o those_o still_o though_o otherwise_o against_o their_o own_o judgement_n and_o inclination_n and_o it_o may_v be_v against_o conviction_n too_o that_o in_o so_o do_v they_o do_v not_o well_o
