for_o this_o man_n do_v many_o miracle_n 48_o if_o we_o let_v he_o thus_o alone_o all_o man_n will_v believe_v on_o he_o and_o the_o roman_n shall_v come_v and_o take_v away_o both_o our_o place_n place_n of_o worship_n the_o temple_n and_o their_o nation_n that_o be_v bring_v the_o whole_a body_n of_o the_o jewish_a nation_n to_o utter_v destruction_n learn_v hence_o how_o all_o the_o enemy_n and_o opposer_n of_o christ_n and_o his_o kingdom_n do_v endeavour_v to_o colour_v their_o quarrel_n with_o some_o specious_a pretence_n that_o they_o may_v hide_v the_o odiousness_n of_o their_o practice_n from_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o world_n and_o may_v not_o be_v open_o see_v to_o fight_v against_o god_n thus_o the_o pharisee_n here_o persecute_v our_o saviour_n not_o as_o the_o messiah_n though_o the_o miracle_n he_o wrought_v be_v a_o sufficient_a evidence_n that_o he_o be_v such_o but_o as_o one_o who_o will_v bring_v ruin_n upon_o their_o nation_n if_o we_o let_v he_o alone_o the_o a_o wicked_a politician_n he_o consult_v what_o be_v expedient_a he_o declare_v that_o one_o man_n though_o never_o so_o good_a and_o holy_a though_o never_o so_o just_a and_o innocent_a have_v better_o die_v than_o a_o whole_a nation_n suffer_v whereas_o it_o be_v in_o any_o case_n unlawful_a to_o do_v evil_a that_o good_a may_v come_v learn_v hence_o that_o although_o it_o be_v the_o duty_n of_o all_o person_n to_o pray_v for_o and_o endeavour_v after_o the_o public_a welfare_n of_o a_o church_n and_o nation_n whereof_o they_o be_v member_n yet_o it_o be_v altogether_o unlawful_a to_o promote_v the_o great_a national_a good_a by_o wicked_a and_o unlawful_a mean_n observe_v further_o how_o god_n overrule_v the_o tongue_n of_o caiaphas_n beyond_o his_o own_o intention_n prophetical_o to_o foretell_v that_o great_a good_a which_o by_o our_o saviour_n death_n shall_v redound_v to_o the_o world_n and_o that_o the_o fruit_n and_o benefit_n of_o his_o death_n shall_v please_v to_o reveal_v some_o part_n of_o his_o mind_n to_o the_o worst_a of_o men._n thus_o pharaoh_n and_o nebuchadnezar_n have_v in_o their_o dream_n a_o revelation_n from_o god_n what_o thing_n he_o intend_v to_o do_v learn_v 2._o that_o it_o be_v consistent_a with_o the_o holiness_n of_o god_n sometime_o to_o make_v use_n of_o the_o tongue_n of_o the_o worst_a of_o man_n to_o publish_v and_o declare_v his_o will._n caiaphas_n here_o though_o a_o vile_a and_o wicked_a man_n be_v influence_v by_o god_n to_o prophesy_v and_o speak_v a_o oracle_n almighty_a god_n may_v when_o he_o please_v employ_v wicked_a man_n this_o way_n without_o any_o prejudice_n to_o his_o holiness_n this_o caiaphas_n speak_v not_o of_o himself_o but_o be_v highpriest_n he_o prophesy_v that_o jesus_n 1._o that_o though_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o gospel_n be_v christ_n own_o as_o he_o be_v true_o and_o real_o god_n yet_o it_o be_v not_o his_o own_o as_o mere_a man_n exclusive_a of_o the_o father_n who_o be_v one_o god_n with_o he_o and_o who_o give_v he_o a_o commission_n and_o instruction_n as_o mediator_n to_o preach_v and_o publish_v the_o glad_a tiding_n of_o the_o gospel_n for_o say_v he_o i_o have_v not_o speak_v of_o myself_o but_o the_o father_n which_o send_v i_o give_v i_o a_o commandment_n 2._o that_o the_o doctrine_n which_o christ_n deliver_v by_o command_n from_o
