world_n with_o the_o star_n and_o element_n be_v out_o of_o the_o first_o principle_n which_o contain_v the_o outward_a and_o three_o principle_n in_o it_o for_o you_o find_v in_o the_o elementary_a kingdom_n or_o dominion_n a_o cause_n in_o every_o thing_n wherefore_o it_o be_v generate_v and_o move_v as_o it_o do_v but_o you_o find_v not_o the_o first_o cause_n from_o whence_o it_o be_v so_o there_o be_v therefore_o principle_n two_o several_a principle_n for_o you_o find_v in_o the_o visible_a thing_n a_o corruptibility_n and_o perceive_v that_o they_o must_v have_v a_o beginning_n because_o they_o have_v a_o end_n 26._o and_o three_o you_o find_v in_o all_o thing_n a_o glorious_a power_n and_o virtue_n which_o be_v the_o life_n grow_v and_o spring_v of_o every_o thing_n and_o you_o find_v that_o therein_o lie_v its_o beauty_n and_o pleasant_a welfare_n from_o whence_o it_o stir_v now_o look_v upon_o a_o herb_n or_o plant_n and_o consider_v it_o what_o be_v its_o life_n which_o make_v it_o grow_v and_o you_o shall_v find_v in_o the_o original_a harshness_n bitterness_n fire_n and_o water_n and_o if_o you_o shall_v separate_v these_o four_o thing_n one_o from_o another_o and_o put_v they_o together_o again_o yet_o you_o shall_v neither_o see_v nor_o find_v any_o grow_a but_o if_o it_o be_v sever_v from_o its_o own_o mother_n that_o generate_v it_o at_o the_o beginning_n than_o it_o remain_v dead_a much_o less_o can_v you_o bring_v the_o pleasant_a smell_n nor_o colour_n into_o it_o 27._o thus_o you_o see_v that_o there_o be_v a_o eternal_a root_n which_o afford_v this_o and_o if_o you_o can_v bring_v the_o colour_n and_o vegetation_n or_o grow_v into_o it_o yet_o you_o can_v not_o bring_v the_o smell_n and_o virtue_n into_o it_o and_o thus_o you_o will_v find_v in_o the_o original_a of_o the_o smell_n and_o of_o the_o taste_n there_o must_v be_v another_o principle_n which_o the_o stock_n itself_o be_v not_o for_o that_o principle_n have_v its_o original_n from_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n 28._o now_o look_v upon_o the_o humane_a life_n a_o little_a further_o you_o neither_o see_v find_v nor_o apprehend_v any_o more_o by_o your_o sight_n than_o flesh_n and_o blood_n wherein_o you_o be_v like_o other_o beast_n second_o you_o find_v the_o element_n of_o air_n and_o fire_n which_o themselves_o work_n in_o you_o and_o that_o be_v but_o a_o animal_n or_o bestial_a life_n for_o every_o beast_n have_v the_o same_o in_o it_o from_o whence_o proceed_v the_o lust_n to_o fill_v they_o and_o to_o propagate_v themselves_o as_o all_o plant_n herb_n and_o grass_n and_o yet_o you_o find_v no_o true_a understanding_n to_o be_v in_o all_o these_o live_a creature_n for_o although_o the_o star_n or_o constellation_n do_v operate_v in_o man_n man_n and_o afford_v he_o the_o sense_n yet_o they_o be_v only_o such_o sense_n as_o belong_v to_o nourishment_n and_o propagation_n like_o other_o beast_n 29._o for_o the_o star_n themselves_o be_v senseless_a and_o have_v no_o knowledge_n or_o perception_n yet_o their_o soft_a operation_n in_o the_o water_n make_v a_o seethe_a flow_a forth_o or_o boil_v up_o one_o of_o another_o and_o in_o the_o tincture_n of_o the_o blood_n they_o cause_v a_o rise_n see_v feel_a hear_v and_o taste_v therefore_o consider_v from_o whence_o the_o tincture_n proceed_v wherein_o the_o noble_a life_n spring_v up_o that_o thus_o become_v sweet_a from_o harshness_n bitterness_n and_o fire_n and_o you_o shall_v certain_o find_v no_o other_o cause_n of_o it_o than_o the_o light_n but_o whence_o come_v the_o light_n that_o it_o can_v shine_v place_n in_o a_o dark_a body_n if_o you_o say_v it_o come_v from_o the_o light_n of_o the_o sun_n than_o what_o shine_v in_o the_o night_n and_o enlighten_v you_o and_o it_o be_v true_a but_o whence_o have_v the_o mind_n its_o original_n you_o will_v say_v the_o sense_n sense_n make_v the_o mind_n stir_v and_o that_o be_v also_o true_a but_o whence_o come_v they_o both_o what_o be_v their_o birth_n or_o off_o spring_n why_o be_v it_o not_o so_o with_o the_o beast_n 30._o my_o dear_a reader_n if_o you_o be_v able_a question_n break_v open_a all_o and_o look_v into_o the_o pith_n yet_o you_o shall_v not_o find_v it_o though_o you_o shall_v seek_v in_o the_o deep_a in_o the_o star_n in_o the_o element_n in_o all_o live_a creature_n in_o stone_n pure_a deity_n be_v a_o light_n which_o be_v incomprehensible_a and_o imperceivable_a also_o almighty_a and_o all_o powerful_a where_o be_v it_o then_o that_o man_n may_v find_v god_n 33._o here_o open_v your_o noble_a mind_n see_v and_o search_v further_o see_v god_n be_v only_o good_a from_o whence_o come_v the_o evil_n and_o see_v also_o that_o he_o alone_o be_v the_o life_n and_o the_o light_n and_o the_o holy_a power_n as_o it_o be_v undeniable_o true_a from_o whence_o come_v the_o anger_n of_o god_n from_o whence_o come_v the_o devil_n and_o his_o evil_a will_v also_o hell-fire_n the_o word_n of_o the_o promise_n to_o god_n as_o abel_n do_v and_o labour_n with_o his_o hand_n in_o this_o world_n and_o plant_v and_o build_v but_o his_o mind_n shall_v be_v direct_v to_o god_n in_o confidence_n and_o shall_v commend_v the_o government_n kingdom_n of_o this_o world_n to_o god_n and_o carry_v himself_o therein_o as_o a_o travail_a stranger_n which_o only_o with_o this_o
