with_o the_o deep_a be_v by_o the_o worde_n of_o god_n part_v from_o the_o water_n and_o become_v dry_a land_n stand_v and_o be_v hem_v in_o by_o the_o water_n and_o that_o which_o moses_n at_o large_a describe_v be_v by_o saint_n peter_n here_o but_o light_o touch_v by_o the_o same_o worde_n of_o god_n whereby_o they_o be_v make_v and_o create_v be_v all_o thing_n therein_o preserve_v and_o govern_v for_o it_o be_v not_o there_o nature_n so_o to_o stand_v or_o to_o remain_v in_o such_o situation_n and_o therefore_o if_o god_n by_o his_o unspeakable_a power_n do_v not_o uphold_v preserve_v and_o govern_v they_o all_o thing_n will_v quick_o come_v to_o a_o wreck_n and_o ruin_n and_o be_v sonedrench_v cover_v and_o whole_o overflow_v with_o water_n but_o mighty_a be_v thou_o saint_n peter_n these_o wilful_a flouter_n and_o stiffnecked_a derider_n be_v so_o perverse_a and_o inconsiderate_a that_o they_o malicious_o think_v scorn_v to_o show_v this_o honour_n to_o the_o holy_a ghost_n to_o read_v the_o scripture_n and_o therein_o to_o see_v how_o god_n keep_v preserve_v and_o govern_v the_o world_n within_o the_o water_n whereby_o they_o may_v well_o perceive_v and_o see_v that_o all_o thing_n be_v in_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n and_o therefore_o sith_o he_o have_v once_o already_o destroy_v the_o world_n by_o bring_v thereupon_o the_o general_a deluge_n so_o also_o now_o it_o be_v hide_v it_o be_v as_o yet_o cover_v and_o as_o it_o be_v close_v and_o seal_v up_o but_o after_o a_o while_o it_o shall_v in_o a_o moment_n be_v open_v and_o reveil_v that_o we_o may_v plain_o see_v it_o wherein_o you_o rejoice_v though_o now_o for_o a_o season_n if_o need_v require_v you_o be_v in_o heaviness_n through_o manifold_a tentation_n if_o thou_o be_v a_o christian_n and_o look_v for_o this_o inheritance_n or_o salvation_n thou_o must_v needs_o whole_o depend_v upon_o it_o and_o utter_o conteinne_v all_o earthly_a thing_n thou_o must_v also_o confess_v and_o open_o affirm_v that_o all_o the_o understanding_n wisdom_n &_o holiness_n of_o this_o world_n be_v altogether_o nothing_o wherefore_o thou_o must_v look_v for_o no_o other_o but_o that_o the_o world_n will_v condemn_v and_o persecute_v thou_o and_o therefore_o have_v saint_n peter_n right_o join_v together_o these_o three_o faith_n hope_n and_o the_o cross_n or_o affliction_n for_o asmuch_o as_o one_o of_o these_o proceed_v out_o of_o a_o other_o howbeit_o he_o give_v no_o small_a comfort_n to_o they_o that_o suffer_v persecution_n for_o his_o word_n do_v sound_o thus_o this_o heaviness_n follow_v whither_o he_o do_v lead_v and_o guide_v us._n wherefore_o there_o be_v no_o need_n why_o thou_o shall_v seek_v or_o procure_v to_o thyself_o affliction_n if_o need_n so_o require_v that_o another_o a_o weak_a so_o that_o it_o be_v needful_a for_o one_o to_o abstain_v much_o for_o a_o other_o to_o abstain_v little_a that_o the_o body_n may_v nevertheless_o remain_v in_o health_n and_o be_v fit_a to_o do_v good_a work_n again_o there_o be_v some_o that_o deal_v clean_o contrary_o and_o think_v they_o do_v very_o well_o in_o fast_v nothing_o at_o all_o suppose_n that_o they_o may_v little_a or_o nothing_o like_v unto_o the_o former_a for_o they_o have_v profit_v no_o further_o but_o only_o to_o contemn_v the_o law_n of_o the_o pope_n they_o will_v not_o gird_v up_o their_o itself_o unto_o it_o and_o confident_o attempt_v whatsoever_o it_o teach_v whereupon_o s._n peter_n say_v then_o be_v the_o loin_n of_o the_o mind_n gird_v up_o then_o be_v your_o faith_n sincere_a meaning_n of_o saint_n peter_n in_o this_o place_n be_v this_o you_o be_v now_o by_o faith_n come_v to_o this_o point_n that_o you_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o he_o your_o father_n you_o have_v attain_v a_o incorruptible_a inheritance_n whereof_o have_v be_v speak_v afore_o now_o therefore_o there_o remain_v nothing_o behind_o but_o that_o the_o veil_n be_v take_v away_o that_o may_v be_v open_o show_v which_o erst_o be_v hide_v this_o must_v you_o yet_o expect_v and_o look_v for_o till_o the_o time_n come_v that_o it_o be_v give_v you_o to_o see_v it_o you_o therefore_o be_v come_v such_o as_o be_v their_o friend_n wealthy_a scotfree_a fair_a learned_a wise_a mighty_a and_o in_o high_a authority_n but_o god_n respect_v none_o of_o all_o these_o he_o deal_v in_o all_o thing_n with_o indefferencie_n be_v the_o person_n never_o so_o high_a of_o call_v so_o do_v he_o in_o egypt_n slay_v the_o child_n aswell_o of_o the_o king_n as_o of_o the_o poor_a shepherd_n exod._n 10._o and_o therefore_o the_o apostle_n here_o warn_v we_o that_o we_o look_v for_o the_o like_a judgement_n shall_v stand_v in_o fear_n and_o not_o so_o to_o vasit_fw-la our_o title_n because_o we_o be_v to_o the_o spirit_n very_o true_a it_o be_v that_o god_n promise_v that_o christ_n shall_v be_v bear_v of_o the_o seed_n of_o abraham_n and_o that_o out_o of_o he_o shall_v come_v a_o holy_a people_n but_o it_o follow_v not_o thereupon_o that_o all_o they_o be_v the_o child_n of_o god_n which_o descend_v from_o the_o line_n of_o abraham_n he_o also_o promise_v salvation_n to_o the_o gentile_n but_o he_o say_v not_o that_o he_o will_v save_v all_o the_o gentile_n but_o here_o now_o arise_v a_o question_n when_o we_o say_v that_o god_n do_v save_v we_o only_o by_o faith_n without_o respect_n of_o good_a work_n how_o happen_v it_o that_o saint_n peter_n do_v here_o say_v that_o he_o will_v not_o judge_v accord_v to_o the_o person_n but_o according_a to_o every_o man_n work_n i_o answer_v whatsoever_o we_o have_v teach_v concern_v faith_n how_o that_o it_o alone_o do_v justify_v we_o before_o god_n be_v without_o all_o doubt_n very_o true_a forasmuch_o as_o the_o scripture_n declare_v and_o witness_v the_o same_o more_o plain_o than_o that_o it_o can_v be_v deny_v now_o whereas_o saint_n peter_n do_v here_o say_v that_o god_n judge_v accord_v to_o work_n that_o also_o be_v as_o true_a but_o this_o by_o the_o way_n must_v undoubted_o be_v believe_v that_o where_o faith_n be_v not_o there_o neither_o can_v any_o good_a work_n be_v and_o again_o that_o there_o be_v no_o faith_n where_o there_o be_v no_o good_a work_n therefore_o thou_o must_v bring_v both_o thy_o faith_n and_o thy_o good_a work_v into_o one_o as_o in_o the_o which_o be_v both_o together_o be_v comprehend_v and_o
contain_v the_o sum_n of_o a_o true_a christian_a life_n as_o thou_o live_v therefore_o so_o shall_v thou_o receive_v and_o so_o will_v god_n judge_v thou_o and_o therefore_o although_o god_n judge_v we_o accord_v to_o our_o work_v yet_o nevertheless_o this_o remain_v also_o alike_o true_a that_o good_a work_n be_v only_o the_o fruit_n of_o faith_n whereby_o it_o be_v easy_a to_o find_v and_o try_v where_o faith_n be_v and_o where_o be_v infidelity_n and_o therefore_o will_v god_n judge_v thou_o accord_v to_o thy_o work_n and_o will_v thereby_o lay_v it_o face_n to_o face_n to_o thy_o charge_n whether_o thou_o have_v faith_n or_o no._n as_o no_o man_n can_v better_o confute_v a_o liar_n then_o by_o his_o own_o word_n and_o yet_o nevertheless_o it_o be_v plain_a that_o by_o those_o word_n he_o be_v not_o make_v a_o lior_fw-la but_o he_o be_v a_o liar_n afore_o that_o he_o utter_v any_o lie_n because_o that_o a_o lie_n must_v needs_o proceed_v from_o the_o heart_n into_o the_o mouth_n take_v therefore_o these_o same_o word_n of_o saint_n peter_n in_o a_o most_o simple_a sense_n and_o in_o such_o sort_n that_o you_o understande_v work_n to_o be_v the_o fruit_n and_o seal_n of_o faith_n and_o that_o god_n do_v judge_v man_n according_a to_o these_o fruit_n which_o can_v not_o but_o ensue_v and_o follow_v a_o true_a and_o sound_o faith_n to_o the_o intent_n it_o may_v manifest_o appear_v where_o faith_n remain_v in_o the_o heart_n and_o also_o where_o infidelity_n lodge_v god_n will_v not_o judge_v accord_v to_o these_o interrogatory_n and_o question_n whether_o thou_o be_v call_v a_o christian_a or_o no_o or_o whether_o thou_o be_v baptize_v or_o not_o but_o he_o will_v thus_o question_v with_o thou_o sirrah_n if_o thou_o be_v a_o christian_n where_o be_v thy_o fruit_n whereby_o thou_o be_v able_a to_o confirm_v and_o approve_v thy_o faith_n and_o therefore_o say_v saint_n peter_n forasmuch_o as_o you_o have_v such_o a_o father_n which_o judge_v not_o accord_v to_o any_o man_n person_n see_v that_o you_o have_v your_o conversation_n in_o the_o time_n of_o your_o dwell_n here_o in_o fear_n that_o be_v to_o say_v fear_v you_o this_o father_n not_o in_o the_o fear_n of_o punishment_n and_o revenge_n for_o so_o the_o wicked_a reprobate_n and_o deville_n do_v fear_v he_o but_o fear_v you_o he_o lest_o he_o shall_v forsake_v you_o or_o withdraw_v his_o holy_a hand_n from_o you_o even_o as_o a_o honest_a and_o good_a child_n stand_v in_o fear_n lest_o he_o shall_v offend_v his_o father_n or_o commit_v any_o thing_n that_o shall_v not_o be_v well_o like_v of_o he_o such_o a_o fear_n do_v god_n require_v at_o our_o hand_n whereby_o we_o may_v loathe_v and_o abhor_v sin_n and_o diligent_o study_v to_o help_v out_o neighbour_n so_o long_o as_o we_o have_v to_o live_v in_o this_o world_n that_o christian_n that_o believe_v well_o be_v possess_v of_o all_o the_o good_n and_o benefit_n of_o god_n and_o be_v the_o child_n of_o god_n as_o we_o have_v hear_v afore_o declare_v but_o the_o time_n that_o he_o here_o have_v to_o live_v be_v nothing_o else_o then_o a_o kind_n of_o sequestration_n or_o pilgrimage_n for_o his_o spirit_n by_o faith_n be_v already_o in_o heaven_n by_o the_o which_o he_o be_v even_o a_o lord_n of_o all_o thing_n but_o god_n therefore_o suffer_v he_o yet_o for_o a_o time_n to_o live_v in_o the_o flesh_n and_o to_o be_v conversant_a in_o body_n upon_o the_o earth_n purpose_o that_o he_o shall_v help_v other_o and_o bring_v they_o with_o he_o to_o heaven_n and_o therefore_o we_o ought_v not_o otherwise_o to_o use_v this_o world_n nor_o to_o make_v any_o other_o account_n thereof_o but_o as_o stranger_n or_o wayfaring_a man_n be_v wont_a to_o do_v who_o come_n into_o their_o lodging_n or_o inn_n make_v be_v citizen_n in_o heaven_n and_o but_o stranger_n and_o pilgrim_n on_o earth_n but_o mark_v you_o well_o how_o much_o god_n have_v bestow_v on_o you_o and_o how_o unvaluable_a and_o exceed_a great_a that_o treasure_n be_v wherewith_o you_o be_v redeem_v and_o bring_v into_o that_o happy_a case_n to_o become_v the_o child_n of_o god_n therefore_o pass_v your_o time_n and_o conversation_n in_o fear_n and_o take_v you_o good_a heed_n lest_o if_o you_o shall_v contemn_v and_o neglect_v these_o thing_n you_o lose_v this_o so_o excellent_a and_o precious_a a_o treasure_n and_o what_o treasure_n trust_n in_o they_o if_o this_o be_v not_o their_o opinion_n who_o will_v think_v but_o they_o will_v rather_o live_v free_a abroad_o then_o as_o they_o do_v cage_n and_o empound_v themselves_o in_o
