testify_v to_o the_o face_n of_o truth_n that_o their_o obedience_n be_v not_o perfect_a nor_o accept_v they_o conclude_v that_o there_o can_v be_v no_o perfect_a obedience_n attain_v in_o this_o world_n they_o not_o know_v the_o mighty_a powerful_a work_n of_o god_n in_o spirit_n which_o work_v in_o they_o perfect_o who_o believe_v and_o walk_v in_o the_o light_n whereby_o such_o become_v his_o workmanship_n in_o christ_n jesus_n wrought_v into_o his_o obedience_n and_o his_o obedience_n into_o they_o in_o their_o measure_n till_o they_o become_v of_o one_o heart_n one_o mind_n one_o soul_n one_o spirit_n one_o flesh_n and_o bone_n and_o blood_n and_o one_o obedience_n and_o one_o life_n that_o it_o be_v no_o more_o we_o that_o live_v but_o christ_n that_o live_v in_o we_o and_o the_o life_n that_o we_o now_o live_v be_v by_o faith_n in_o the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o though_o the_o fullness_n of_o this_o obedience_n be_v not_o attain_v at_o once_o yet_o the_o least_o but_o what_o be_v perfect_a and_o what_o he_o perfect_o accept_v which_o gift_n be_v all_o in_o his_o son_n and_o in_o he_o the_o least_o be_v accept_v and_o every_o one_o that_o therein_o exercise_v themselves_o without_o mixture_n concern_v good_a work_n as_o there_o be_v but_o one_o good_a so_o there_o be_v but_o one_o worker_n of_o good_a in_o heaven_n and_o in_o earth_n who_o by_o the_o word_n of_o his_o power_n make_v all_o good_a in_o the_o beginning_n and_o in_o this_o good_a work_n and_o will_v be_v man_n wrought_v in_o the_o will_n of_o god_n in_o his_o image_n and_o goodness_n he_o stand_v but_o fall_v from_o this_o steadfastness_n that_o be_v in_o god_n and_o be_v take_v he_o unto_o self_n thereby_o to_o become_v wise_a he_o become_v subtle_a and_o proud_a in_o himself_o seek_v to_o be_v as_o god_n be_v cast_v out_o from_o god_n his_o power_n love_n and_o goodness_n and_o be_v fall_v into_o the_o dark_a imaginary_a of_o his_o own_o heart_n and_o find_v himself_o under_o the_o curse_n whereof_o the_o light_n of_o christ_n in_o the_o conscience_n be_v a_o witness_n he_o have_v set_v himself_o to_o make_v a_o likeness_n of_o god_n &_o christ_n and_o god_n worship_n and_o good_a work_n faith_n hope_n patience_n love_n etc._n etc._n but_o be_v under_o the_o power_n of_o darkness_n neither_o know_v god_n nor_o his_o work_n but_o be_v deceive_v by_o the_o prince_n of_o darkness_n and_o so_o do_v please_v himself_o with_o a_o imitation_n of_o god_n and_o his_o work_n but_o without_o power_n and_o so_o as_o he_o imagine_v be_v do_v good_a but_o the_o testimony_n of_o god_n in_o his_o heart_n bear_v witness_n against_o he_o that_o his_o work_n be_v not_o perfect_a nor_o accept_v he_o also_o imagine_v that_o he_o be_v redeem_v but_o be_v still_o under_o the_o command_a power_n of_o satan_n lead_v captive_a at_o his_o will_n who_o that_o he_o may_v the_o more_o strong_o blind_v he_o he_o lead_v he_o sometime_o into_o a_o seem_a worship_n that_o so_o he_o may_v not_o so_o much_o suspect_v his_o way_n nor_o be_v too_o much_o trouble_v at_o his_o other_o unrighteous_a practice_n so_o that_o the_o worst_a of_o man_n in_o this_o state_n have_v a_o worship_n and_o each_o sort_n think_v they_o be_v right_a though_o there_o be_v but_o one_o way_n and_z they_o all_o without_o it_o and_o each_o in_o their_o thought_n be_v not_o so_o bad_a as_o other_o but_o have_v their_o several_a good_a work_n though_o there_o be_v but_o one_o good_a work_n and_o they_o all_o out_o of_o it_o in_o their_o own_o work_n and_o it_o be_v no_o small_a work_n to_o undeceive_v the_o least_o of_o these_o who_o be_v thus_o conceit_v though_o man_n of_o great_a wit_n and_o part_n as_o they_o call_v they_o which_o be_v but_o a_o high_a deceit_n may_v lead_v they_o from_o one_o deceit_n to_o another_o yet_o all_o the_o world_n wisdom_n can_v bring_v they_o into_o the_o good_a work_n nor_o the_o way_n wherein_o it_o be_v wrought_v only_o such_o who_o mind_n the_o light_n of_o christ_n in_o their_o dark_a heart_n which_o manifest_v to_o they_o their_o evil_a deed_n and_o reprove_v they_o for_o they_o and_o can_v believe_v it_o to_o be_v the_o light_n of_o christ_n and_o thereto_o take_v heed_n to_o follow_v it_o out_o of_o the_o world_n and_o carnal_a mindedness_n and_o in_o that_o light_n wait_v till_o the_o living
they_o come_v to_o receive_v in_o their_o heart_n only_o such_o come_v into_o the_o good_a work_n and_o will_n of_o god_n for_o without_o the_o word_n be_v nothing_o make_v nor_o without_o it_o can_v any_o be_v redeem_v for_o it_o be_v the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n hear_v and_o receive_v that_o quicken_v the_o dead_a and_o raise_v to_o life_n that_o which_o be_v dead_a in_o the_o trespass_n and_o sin_n and_o the_o spiritual_a man_n be_v quicken_v the_o power_n of_o the_o word_n bring_v forth_o in_o he_o the_o work_n of_o god_n righteousness_n which_o be_v from_o everlasting_a which_o in_o the_o measure_n thereof_o confirm_v the_o creature_n unto_o god_n in_o righteousness_n who_o lose_v the_o image_n in_o unrighteousness_n and_o so_o be_v the_o creature_n renew_v in_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o mind_n and_o inward_a part_n to_o receive_v wisdom_n and_o power_n in_o the_o hide_a man_n how_o to_o escape_v the_o evil_a and_o resist_v it_o and_o to_o bring_v to_o light_v what_o god_n beget_v in_o the_o heart_n and_o so_o the_o new_a creature_n be_v see_v create_v in_o christ_n jesus_n unto_o good_a work_n to_o walk_v therein_o as_o be_v fore-ordained_n and_o as_o the_o believer_n be_v find_v diligent_a in_o the_o light_n waiting_z and_o in_o the_o spirit_n obedient_a to_o this_o work_n in_o this_o work_n he_o come_v still_o more_o to_o learn_v god_n power_n and_o teach_v and_o christ_n obedience_n and_o god_n wisdom_n and_o care_n over_o he_o in_o lead_v into_o the_o suffering_n and_o tribulation_n trial_n and_o temptation_n and_o the_o faith_n and_o fellowship_n with_o christ_n therein_o in_o which_o if_o the_o creature_n stand_v not_o a_o hair_n can_v fall_v but_o he_o be_v sure_a to_o come_v out_o more_o pure_a than_o gold_n and_o so_o in_o all_o this_o work_n and_o working_n for_o though_o there_o be_v many_o work_n as_o to_o the_o creature_n obedience_n and_o measure_n yet_o they_o all_o complete_a but_o this_o one_o work_n of_o the_o creature_n redemption_n and_o god_n praise_v therein_o the_o beginning_n and_o end_n of_o all_o and_o of_o this_o work_n of_o god_n be_v all_o the_o world_n ignorant_a who_o be_v preach_v press_a and_o act_v their_o good_a work_n as_o they_o call_v they_o but_o all_o their_o work_n do_v not_o manifest_v a_o power_n that_o bring_v they_o out_o of_o sin_n and_o the_o world_n conformity_n and_o service_n thereof_o in_o his_o way_n and_o worship_n but_o every_o good_a work_n of_o god_n in_o his_o saint_n who_o become_v obedient_a to_o his_o work_n as_o they_o subject_a to_o bring_v forth_o the_o good_a work_n and_o will_n of_o god_n every_o work_n beget_v the_o creature_n near_o to_o god_n and_o into_o his_o likeness_n and_o nature_n and_o this_o be_v the_o reward_n of_o good_a work_n to_o every_o one_o who_o be_v exercise_v therein_o that_o thereby_o they_o be_v wrought_v out_o of_o the_o world_n likeness_n and_o conformity_n and_o so_o out_o of_o their_o friendship_n till_o all_o manner_n of_o evil_n they_o suffer_v for_o the_o name_n of_o god_n that_o be_v in_o they_o and_o the_o nature_n of_o his_o work_n which_o be_v abomination_n to_o the_o world_n work_n and_o the_o world_n to_o they_o and_o so_o their_o name_n be_v cast_v out_o as_o evil_a among_o man_n they_o be_v receive_v into_o the_o love_n of_o the_o father_n of_o the_o work_n for_o which_o they_o be_v hate_v of_o the_o world_n and_o so_o the_o reproach_n of_o the_o world_n become_v great_a riches_n to_o all_o who_o love_n god_n and_o be_v obedient_a to_o his_o work_n which_o none_o who_o stand_v in_o their_o own_o will_n can_v inherit_v and_o so_o self-work_n and_o god_n work_n be_v manifest_a in_o the_o light_n the_o one_o be_v that_o which_o man_n see_v or_o hear_v or_o imagine_v and_o so_o set_v themselves_o to_o imitate_v the_o same_o in_o their_o own_o will_n and_o way_n which_o they_o have_v conceive_v in_o their_o fall_a wisdom_n and_o earthly_a mind_n not_o in_o spirit_n new_o bear_v but_o in_o the_o old_a letter_n or_o tradition_n from_o man_n but_o god_n work_n be_v those_o which_o be_v from_o everlasting_a before_o the_o will_n of_o man_n or_o the_o world_n custom_n and_o therefore_o must_v conform_v to_o neither_o but_o every_o one_o who_o into_o this_o work_n will_v come_v must_v deny_v the_o world_n and_o their_o own_o will_n and_o all_o that_o be_v in_o they_o must_v bow_v and_o conform_v to_o the_o motion_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o to_o its_o working_n which_o be_v see_v to_o such_o as_o in_o the_o light_n dwell_v and_o in_o its_o way_n and_o time_n must_v bring_v forth_o the_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n in_o due_a season_n not_o the_o work_n of_o the_o flesh_n nor_o to_o the_o flesh_n but_o the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n to_o god_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n and_o the_o praise_n of_o such_o be_v not_o of_o the_o world_n who_o bring_v not_o forth_o to_o the_o world_n but_o of_o god_n who_o bring_v forth_o to_o god_n and_o the_o world_n praise_v it_o own_o concern_v election_n and_o reprobation_n this_o be_v that_o which_o be_v seal_v from_o all_o the_o world_n nor_o can_v any_o know_v it_o nor_o receive_v it_o who_o be_v in_o the_o reprobate_a state_n though_o many_o be_v dispute_v about_o it_o in_o the_o dark_a which_o none_o know_v but_o the_o child_n of_o light_n so_o as_o one_o who_o have_v obtain_v favour_n to_o have_v this_o mystery_n reveal_v i_o shall_v according_a to_o permission_n write_v a_o few_o word_n as_o be_v receive_v in_o jesus_n yet_o can_v be_v receive_v by_o no_o man_n wisdom_n nor_o any_o who_o be_v bear_v after_o nor_o to_o hate_v that_o which_o god_n hate_v and_o love_n that_o which_o he_o love_v in_o any_o measure_n but_o join_v with_o that_o which_o destroy_v the_o soul_n and_o devour_v the_o life_n and_o yet_o make_v a_o profession_n and_o a_o prayer_n against_o it_o in_o word_n and_o that_o be_v the_o pharisee_fw-mi and_o hypocrite_n who_o with_o the_o word_n destroy_v the_o life_n who_o make_v a_o righteousness_n be_v as_o far_o off_o as_o judea_n corinth_n thessalonica_n &c_n &c_n and_o these_o be_v they_o who_o in_o word_n confess_v god_n but_o in_o work_n deny_v he_o who_o have_v a_o large_a faith_n in_o word_n but_o to_o the_o good_a work_n reprobate_a for_o none_o can_v be_v of_o any_o true_a judgement_n concern_v the_o work_n of_o god_n who_o be_v stranger_n to_o the_o life_n that_o work_v it_o concern_v righteousness_n that_o righteousness_n which_o god_n accept_v be_v but_o one_o which_o be_v his_o own_o perfect_o fulfil_v and_o manifest_v in_o the_o world_n in_o christ_n jesus_n the_o light_n and_o saviour_n thereof_o which_o righteousness_n be_v not_o of_o the_o world_n nor_o manifest_v to_o the_o world_n nor_o in_o the_o world_n receive_v but_o by_o the_o world_n ever_o judge_v as_o unrighteousness_n nor_o can_v the_o world_n inherit_v it_o but_o only_o they_o who_o believe_v in_o the_o light_n of_o christ_n which_o god_n have_v give_v into_o the_o world_n to_o lead_v out_o of_o the_o world_n to_o christ_n where_o god_n righteousness_n be_v and_o there_o be_v many_o talker_n of_o this_o righteousness_n but_o none_o inherit_v it_o further_o than_o by_o life_n be_v keep_v in_o the_o measure_n of_o he_o as_o he_o be_v so_o be_v we_o in_o this_o present_a world_n and_o not_o of_o this_o world_n even_o as_o he_o be_v of_o not_o of_o this_o world_n and_o herein_o be_v boldness_n in_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n in_o that_o which_o be_v perfect_a and_o all_o that_o be_v not_o perfect_a be_v self_n and_o with_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n deny_v in_o the_o light_n which_o condemn_v all_o self-actings_a under_o what_o pretence_n soever_o so_o who_o abide_v in_o the_o righteousness_n abide_v in_o that_o which_o deny_v self_n and_o all_o the_o world_n and_o so_o live_v in_o obedience_n to_o that_o which_o be_v contrary_a to_o all_o man_n will_n and_o so_o every_o where_o evil-spoken_a on_o for_o the_o will_n of_o man_n work_v not_o the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n but_o this_o righteousness_n be_v wrought_v into_o the_o creature_n in_o that_o obedience_n which_o be_v contrary_a to_o the_o will_n of_o the_o flesh_n and_o in_o the_o faith_n by_o the_o eternal_a spirit_n be_v the_o new_a beget_n both_o of_o the_o will_n and_o the_o deed_n and_o so_o the_o new_a be_v bear_v of_o the_o spirit_n and_o life_n and_o so_o far_o as_o any_o have_v this_o righteousness_n he_o do_v not_o lie_v under_o sin_n nor_o give_v place_n to_o the_o devil_n but_o it_o be_v as_o a_o breastplate_n against_o all_o assault_n on_o the_o right_a hand_n and_o on_o the_o left_a and_o all_o who_o have_v not_o this_o be_v they_o who_o have_v that_o which_o will_v not_o stand_v in_o stead_n in_o the_o evil_a day_n so_o you_o that_o say_v your_o righteousness_n be_v as_o filthy_a rag_n why_o do_v you_o abide_v in_o that_o god_n righteousness_n be_v not_o so_o wherefore_o cease_v from_o that_o and_o own_o that_o which_o be_v perfect_a even_o that_o everlasting_a righteousness_n in_o which_o his_o all_o saint_n have_v be_v gather_v unto_o himself_o who_o can_v receive_v nothing_o but_o what_o be_v his_o own_o and_o it_o must_v be_v you_o also_o else_o can_v you_o not_o be_v receive_v in_o it_o in_o vain_a do_v you_o plough_v wickedness_n and_o sow_v iniquity_n and_o think_v to_o reap_v righteousness_n so_o with_o the_o light_n you_o no_o work_n in_o you_o but_o what_o god_n work_v you_o shall_v have_v no_o righteousness_n but_o what_o be_v perfect_a even_o the_o least_o measure_n of_o it_o and_o as_o you_o obey_v unto_o this_o righteousness_n you_o shall_v see_v the_o spiritual_a man_n raise_v and_o live_v and_o the_o bond_n of_o death_n break_v and_o that_o live_v which_o give_v power_n over_o hell_n and_o death_n then_o may_v you_o say_v the_o spirit_n be_v life_n because_o of_o righteousness_n and_o your_o dead_a profession_n will_v be_v judge_v with_o the_o life_n as_o it_o arise_v and_o see_v to_o be_v fruitless_a but_o this_o be_v blasphemy_n in_o your_o own_o eye_n who_o have_v make_v christ_n righteousness_n a_o cover_n for_o your_o abomination_n what_o wickedness_n be_v so_o vile_a now_o in_o these_o nation_n but_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n be_v make_v a_o cover_n &_o man_n bless_v themselves_o therewith_o in_o the_o great_a abomination_n and_o this_o have_v its_o beginning_n at_o the_o head_n of_o deceit_n and_o be_v go_v over_o all_o the_o whole_a body_n for_o to_o cover_v your_o own_o wickedness_n pride_n and_o covetuousness_n have_v you_o teacher_n invent_v this_o faith_n that_o its_o sufficient_a to_o believe_v in_o a_o righteousness_n you_o read_v of_o in_o the_o letter_n through_o you_o be_v not_o obedient_a to_o it_o in_o spirit_n but_o you_o that_o be_v not_o servant_n of_o righteousness_n be_v no_o servant_n of_o christ_n and_o his_o work_n and_o your_o faith_n without_o his_o work_n will_v be_v little_a worth_n to_o salvation_n and_o even_o as_o it_o save_v you_o out_o of_o sin_n so_o will_v it_o save_v you_o out_o of_o condemnation_n and_o no_o further_o and_o this_o that_o in_o your_o conscience_n will_v witness_v if_o you_o take_v counsel_n at_o it_o no_o further_o than_o you_o find_v the_o power_n of_o his_o righteousness_n work_v in_o you_o and_o you_o own_v it_o in_o obedience_n and_o subjection_n and_o join_v to_o it_o against_o all_o unrighteousness_n no_o more_o of_o it_o you_o can_v inherit_v nor_o be_v make_v the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n in_o he_o and_o at_o that_o day_n when_o he_o come_v to_o separate_v the_o precious_a
