by_o necessary_a consequence_n unto_o this_o time_n for_o never_o hitherto_o say_v he_o have_v any_o heresy_n taint_v rome_n as_o it_o have_v other_o city_n this_o be_v a_o point_n necessary_a to_o be_v possible_a for_o this_o their_o faith_n to_o be_v alter_v and_o corrupt_v in_o after-age_n 3._o that_o the_o ancient_a faith_n of_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n have_v be_v de_fw-la facto_fw-la actual_o corrupt_v 4._o that_o a_o reformation_n of_o those_o corruption_n be_v on_o our_o side_n justifiable_a and_o so_o in_o the_o last_o place_n we_o will_v leave_v it_o to_o the_o impartial_a world_n to_o consider_v whether_o those_o violent_a method_n be_v justifiable_a which_o the_o romanist_n have_v use_v since_o the_o reformation_n for_o the_o re-establishment_n of_o those_o corruption_n and_o of_o these_o as_o brief_o as_o i_o can_v 1._o what_o the_o faith_n be_v which_o the_o apostle_n here_o commend_v the_o church_n of_o rome_n for_o and_o which_o he_o say_v be_v speak_v of_o throughout_o the_o whole_a world_n it_o be_v certain_a in_o the_o general_n that_o the_o faith_n of_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n be_v not_o different_a from_o the_o faith_n of_o other_o church_n for_o as_o there_o be_v but_o one_o lord_n so_o there_o be_v but_o one_o faith_n over_o the_o whole_a christian_a world_n ephes_n 4._o 5._o and_o the_o reason_n why_o st._n paul_n with_o thankfulness_n take_v notice_n of_o the_o roman_n faith_n be_v not_o because_o it_o be_v other_o or_o more_o excellent_a than_o that_o which_o be_v receive_v in_o other_o place_n but_o because_o rome_n be_v the_o great_a imperial_a city_n whereunto_o the_o world_n be_v necessitate_v to_o have_v recourse_n the_o christian_a faith_n be_v likely_a thence_o to_o disseminate_v itself_o every_o where_n over_o all_o the_o part_n of_o the_o empire_n in_o a_o very_a short_a time_n now_o if_o we_o inquire_v particular_o what_o that_o faith_n be_v we_o shall_v find_v it_o to_o have_v be_v this_o viz._n a_o confession_n of_o the_o necessary_a and_o important_a doctrine_n of_o christianity_n a_o belief_n of_o those_o main_a and_o fundamental_a truth_n touch_v the_o divine_a nature_n and_o authority_n of_o our_o bless_a saviour_n touch_v the_o thing_n which_o he_o do_v and_o suffer_v for_o the_o salvation_n of_o the_o world_n and_o touch_v those_o inestimable_a blessing_n which_o wereconsequent_a hereunto_o as_o the_o sanctification_n of_o our_o heart_n by_o the_o holy_a spirit_n the_o remission_n of_o our_o sin_n and_o the_o hope_n of_o a_o happy_a resurrection_n to_o eternal_a life_n for_o christ_n his_o sake_n these_o be_v the_o grand_a article_n of_o the_o christian_a faith_n and_o they_o be_v sum_v up_o in_o that_o short_a collection_n of_o christian_a verity_n which_o we_o call_v the_o apostle_n creed_n because_o whether_o they_o themselves_o compile_v that_o collection_n or_o no_o it_o contain_v those_o main_a point_n and_o doctrine_n which_o the_o apostle_n preach_v at_o rome_n and_o in_o all_o place_n beside_o as_o the_o only_a credenda_fw-la or_o matter_n of_o faith_n that_o be_v absolute_o necessary_a to_o salvation_n of_o this_o we_o have_v testimony_n abundant_a for_o when_o st._n paul_n preach_v at_o athens_n they_o be_v the_o fundamental_a &_o substantial_a doctrine_n of_o christianity_n which_o he_o teach_v viz._n jesus_n and_o the_o
