man_n job_n 30._o 1._o 2._o 3._o 4._o that_o be_v poor_a yea_o beggar_n again_o be_v we_o not_o teach_v this_o by_o experience_n go_v into_o the_o tent_n of_o sem_fw-mi look_v into_o the_o house_n of_o the_o righteous_a there_o you_o shall_v find_v some_o in_o prosperity_n and_o some_o in_o adversity_n one_o house_n rich_a another_o miserable_a go_v into_o the_o tent_n of_o kedar_n look_v into_o the_o house_n of_o the_o ungodly_a and_o you_o shall_v find_v they_o in_o the_o like_a manner_n all_o these_o thing_n the_o lord_n do_v according_a to_o his_o free_a will_n and_o mighty_a power_n and_o deal_v with_o the_o child_n of_o man_n according_a to_o the_o absolute_a unlimited_a and_o sovereign_a pleasure_n of_o his_o will_n chap._n iii_o that_o god_n proceed_n with_o and_o towards_o the_o child_n of_o man_n can_v by_o man_n be_v comprehend_v thus_o than_o it_o appear_v that_o the_o way_n of_o god_n be_v unsearchable_a for_o who_o can_v judge_v of_o and_o imagine_v the_o reason_n or_o cause_n why_o god_n send_v trouble_v adversity_n poverty_n and_o misery_n unto_o one_o righteous_a man_n that_o fear_v god_n shun_v evil_a and_o live_v as_o upright_o as_o any_o other_o of_o his_o estate_n and_o degree_n can_v or_o may_v do_v and_o on_o the_o contrary_n exalt_v and_o raise_v another_o righteous_a man_n to_o great_a wealth_n that_o be_v not_o altogether_o such_o a_o one_o in_o all_o degree_n as_o the_o former_a on_o the_o other_o side_n who_o can_v enter_v into_o god_n counsel_n to_o know_v why_o god_n send_v great_a trouble_n and_o misery_n to_o one_o ungodly_a man_n that_o be_v not_o wickede_a than_o his_o neighbour_n and_o on_o the_o contrary_a give_v another_o ungodly_a person_n that_o in_o no_o sort_n be_v any_o thing_n better_o than_o the_o other_o great_a wealth_n happy_a state_n on_o earth_n and_o all_o prosperity_n nor_o be_v we_o to_o wonder_v when_o we_o shall_v behold_v that_o which_o oftentimes_o we_o see_v to_o happen_v here_o upon_o earth_n that_o on_o the_o one_o side_n a_o righteous_a man_n that_o be_v zealous_a of_o god_n honour_n fight_v for_o the_o defence_n of_o god_n cause_n and_o seek_v to_o advance_v and_o further_o the_o same_o be_v many_o time_n so_o much_o cross_v and_o overth_n wart_v in_o his_o proceed_n that_o it_o seem_v that_o both_o heaven_n and_o earth_n be_v bend_v against_o he_o and_o be_v in_o such_o perplexity_n that_o he_o know_v not_o which_o way_n to_o wind_n or_o turn_v himself_o as_o david_n be_v when_o the_o town_n of_o ziglag_n be_v spoil_v and_o his_o own_o people_n conspire_v against_o he_o 1._o sam._n 30._o 6._o on_o the_o other_o side_n that_o a_o ungodly_a man_n that_o endure_v no_o manner_n of_o adversity_n be_v a_o utter_a enemy_n unto_o god_n and_o seek_v by_o all_o the_o mean_n that_o the_o can_v utter_o to_o extirpate_v and_o root_v out_o the_o memory_n of_o his_o most_o holy_a name_n out_o of_o the_o earth_n and_o yet_o be_v oftentimes_o so_o much_o holpen_v and_o second_v in_o his_o wickedness_n that_o heaven_n and_o earth_n and_o all_o thing_n therein_o seem_v to_o hold_v with_o he_o and_o he_o bring_v his_o affair_n unto_o so_o happy_a and_o prosperous_a a_o end_n that_o he_o be_v a_o terror_n and_o fear_n to_o the_o miserable_a and_o small_a troop_n of_o the_o righteous_a who_o can_v tell_v or_o find_v out_o the_o true_a ground_n of_o these_o way_n of_o god_n see_v we_o not_o that_o god_n many_o time_n call_v a_o righteous_a man_n out_o of_o this_o world_n in_o the_o flower_n of_o his_o youth_n concern_v who_o in_o all_o man_n judgement_n it_o have_v better_a and_o it_o may_v have_v be_v wish_v that_o he_o may_v still_o have_v continue_v and_o live_v long_o here_o on_o earth_n be_v one_o that_o do_v so_o much_o good_a in_o his_o own_o house_n in_o the_o place_n wherein_o he_o dwell_v and_o in_o his_o call_n wherein_o he_o live_v and_o on_o the_o contrary_a suffer_v a_o ungodly_a man_n to_o live_v long_o and_o many_o year_n here_o in_o the_o world_n be_v a_o unprofitable_a member_n that_o fare_v like_o a_o roar_a lion_n and_o a_o raven_a bear_n among_o his_o houshâ—â—d_n spend_v and_o consume_v all_o that_o he_o have_v or_o can_v come_v by_o wrong_v his_o wife_n and_o child_n defile_v the_o place_n where_o he_o live_v with_o scandalous_a and_o wicked_a action_n and_o which_o be_v more_o lead_v many_o other_o with_o he_o into_o destruction_n and_o by_o his_o long_a life_n withhold_v and_o keep_v other_o out_o of_o some_o necessary_a place_n of_o service_n who_o be_v they_o employ_v in_o the_o same_o will_v do_v much_o good_a who_o can_v declare_v or_o true_o imagine_v the_o ground_n of_o this_o proceed_n do_v it_o not_o oftentimes_o fall_v out_o that_o a_o ungodly_a man_n be_v strike_v with_o a_o apoplexy_n while_o he_o be_v busy_a about_o his_o wicked_a action_n in_o some_o one_o kind_a or_o other_o and_o also_o that_o a_o righteous_a person_n be_v strike_v by_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n while_o he_o labour_v about_o the_o furtherance_n and_o advancement_n of_o god_n glory_n and_o be_v only_o careful_a thereof_o that_o the_o lord_n strike_v a_o ungodly_a arrius_n cause_v his_o bowel_n to_o burst_v and_o his_o gut_n to_o fall_v out_o of_o his_o belly_n as_o he_o sit_v upon_o the_o stool_n to_o ease_v himself_o and_o so_o die_v and_o that_o the_o same_o god_n bring_v a_o righteous_a man_n his_o adversary_n to_o the_o like_a death_n who_o will_v not_o be_v abash_v thereat_o to_o consider_v of_o such_o incomprehensible_a way_n and_o work_n of_o god_n and_o when_o man_n shall_v observe_v and_o weigh_v with_o themselves_o in_o what_o manner_n of_o opposite_a condition_n they_o see_v and_o behold_v both_o the_o godly_a and_o ungodly_a they_o must_v needs_o and_o can_v choose_v but_o acknowledge_v and_o confess_v that_o the_o lord_n work_v most_o wonderful_o and_o unsearchable_o therein_o there_o be_v two_o godly_a man_n of_o one_o state_n and_o quality_n that_o both_o live_v in_o great_a prosperity_n and_o wealth_n and_o two_o other_o godly_a man_n that_o both_o live_v in_o great_a trouble_n penury_n and_o misery_n also_o there_o be_v two_o ungodly_a man_n of_o one_o calling_n and_o condition_n that_o both_o live_v in_o great_a wealth_n and_o worldly_a happiness_n and_o two_o other_o unrighteous_a man_n that_o be_v unhappy_a and_o endure_v great_a misery_n and_o there_o be_v two_o godly_a man_n of_o one_o calling_n whereof_o the_o one_o prosper_v in_o all_o his_o affair_n the_o other_o be_v cross_v and_o trouble_v there_o be_v two_o ungodly_a man_n of_o one_o condition_n whereof_o the_o one_o be_v cross_v in_o his_o affair_n the_o other_o prosper_v there_o be_v a_o godly_a and_o a_o ungodly_a man_n who_o although_o they_o be_v both_o of_o one_o call_v in_o worldly_a affair_n but_o yet_o differ_v much_o in_o their_o life_n and_o conversation_n touch_v god_n service_n that_o both_o live_v in_o great_a prosperity_n and_o there_o be_v a_o godly_a and_o a_o ungodly_a man_n of_o one_o condition_n for_o worldly_a matter_n that_o both_o be_v cross_v and_o endure_v much_o trouble_n and_o adversity_n there_o be_v a_o godly_a &_o a_o ungodly_a man_n of_o one_o state_n and_o condition_n whereof_o the_o godly_a man_n have_v prosperity_n and_o the_o ungodly_a man_n adversity_n and_o again_o there_o be_v a_o other_o godly_a man_n and_o a_o ungodly_a man_n of_o one_o call_v in_o the_o world_n whereof_o the_o godly_a man_n have_v much_o adversity_n and_o many_o cross_n and_o the_o ungodly_a man_n great_a prosperity_n what_o profoundness_n of_o god_n work_n be_v these_o what_o wonderful_a way_n of_o god_n be_v these_o many_o man_n pass_v these_o thing_n slight_o over_o but_o those_o that_o have_v understanding_n and_o know_v the_o word_n of_o god_n mark_v and_o behold_v these_o thing_n daily_o to_o come_v to_o pass_v in_o the_o world_n thereby_o note_v how_o wonderful_o the_o lord_n work_v in_o thing_n that_o happen_v unto_o the_o child_n of_o man_n who_o can_v enter_v into_o the_o depth_n of_o these_o way_n of_o the_o lord_n who_o can_v tell_v the_o reason_n thereof_o in_o all_o respect_n then_o the_o work_n of_o god_n be_v wonderful_a to_o the_o child_n
this_o respect_n to_o wit_n that_o they_o can_v thereby_o whole_o free_a and_o deliver_v themselves_o from_o all_o trouble_n and_o adversity_n of_o this_o life_n nor_o yet_o bereave_v themselves_o utter_o of_o all_o outward_a wealth_n and_o prosperity_n but_o that_o the_o same_o thing_n may_v happen_v unto_o they_o whither_o they_o live_v godly_a or_o wicked_o &_o that_o also_o it_o further_o stand_v so_o with_o man_n that_o if_o they_o live_v godly_a both_o their_o prosperity_n and_o adversity_n be_v blessing_n unto_o they_o and_o on_o the_o contrary_a that_o if_o they_o live_v wicked_o as_o well_o their_o prosperity_n as_o their_o adversity_n be_v a_o curse_n unto_o they_o and_o that_o to_o either_o of_o they_o in_o so_o high_a a_o measure_n and_o degree_n that_o the_o prosperity_n and_o adversity_n of_o the_o godly_a be_v either_o of_o they_o a_o furtherance_n unto_o they_o to_o everlasting_a salvation_n and_o as_o it_o be_v a_o pawn_n that_o hereafter_o both_o here_o and_o for_o ever_o it_o shall_v go_v well_o with_o they_o psal_n 23._o philip_n 1._o 28._o 2_o thess_n 1._o 5._o 6._o 7._o whereas_o unto_o the_o ungodly_a both_o their_o prosperity_n and_o adversity_n be_v a_o mean_n to_o further_a their_o eternal_a damnation_n and_o as_o it_o be_v a_o pawn_n and_o assurance_n unto_o they_o that_o hereafter_o both_o here_o and_o eternal_o it_o shall_v go_v evil_o and_o i_o can_v in_o any_o sort_n effect_n that_o which_o i_o desire_v by_o good_a and_o honest_a mean_n i_o rather_o desire_v so_o to_o live_v then_o to_o follow_v lewd_a wicked_a and_o ungodly_a course_n and_o to_o use_v wicked_a wrong_a and_o evil_a practice_n to_o obtain_v only_o some_o profit_n pleasure_n credit_n furtherance_n and_o benefit_n which_o thereby_o i_o hope_v to_o get_v but_o now_o i_o be_o teach_v that_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o outward_a thing_n of_o this_o life_n it_o fare_v almost_o alike_o both_o with_o the_o godly_a &_o ungodly_a therefore_o i_o may_v much_o better_o attain_v unto_o a_o upright_o life_n by_o the_o way_n of_o godliness_n then_o by_o the_o way_n of_o ungodliness_n and_o withal_o if_o i_o consider_v it_o well_o i_o can_v but_o remember_v that_o to_o the_o godly_a both_o prosperity_n and_o adversity_n be_v blessing_n and_o on_o the_o contrary_a that_o to_o the_o ungodly_a both_o prosperity_n and_o adversity_n be_v curse_n for_o that_o there_o be_v a_o after-reckoning_n to_o be_v make_v in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v wherein_o every_o one_o shall_v be_v reward_v according_a to_o that_o which_o he_o have_v do_v whether_o it_o be_v good_a or_o evil_n and_o after_o that_o follow_v the_o eternal_a judgement_n whereby_o the_o ungodly_a be_v dispose_v of_o and_o present_o send_v down_o to_o the_o bottom_n of_o hell_n where_o there_o be_v weep_v and_o wail_v and_o gnash_v of_o tooth_n world_n without_o end_n and_o on_o the_o contrary_a the_o godly_a be_v take_v up_o into_o heaven_n where_o all_o joy_n abound_v and_o happy_a life_n eternal_a be_v obtain_v for_o they_o by_o our_o saviour_n jesus_n christ_n and_o if_o in_o any_o wise_a i_o shall_v doubt_v of_o these_o thing_n to_o come_v yet_o the_o same_o be_v of_o so_o great_a weight_n and_o consequence_n that_o it_o behoove_v every_o man_n earnest_o to_o think_v on_o they_o and_o to_o have_v a_o care_n to_o make_v sure_a work_n thereof_o see_v that_o wisdom_n teach_v we_o not_o to_o prepare_v only_o for_o difficult_a inconvenience_n which_o we_o know_v certain_o will_v come_v but_o to_o be_v careful_a also_o to_o prevent_v such_o as_o may_v come_v upon_o we_o and_o the_o rather_o cause_v to_o seek_v to_o attain_v unto_o these_o outward_a thing_n that_o i_o desire_v by_o godly_a mean_n for_o that_o by_o follow_a godliness_n in_o true_a faith_n without_o fear_n of_o any_o adversity_n my_o meat_n will_v not_o be_v less_o savoury_a nor_o my_o sleep_n less_o sweet_a yea_o all_o my_o action_n will_v thereby_o bring_v and_o procure_v more_o fruit_n and_o comfort_n unto_o
