and_o he_o crucify_v &_o know_v the_o nature_n of_o the_o sacrament_n we_o shall_v not_o know_v what_o to_o make_v of_o it_o but_o if_o the_o word_n be_v preach_v than_o we_o begin_v to_o grow_v to_o some_o understanding_n and_o some_o life_n in_o the_o business_n and_o to_o relish_v this_o sacrament_n as_o the_o spiritual_a manna_n the_o heavenly_a food_n of_o our_o soul_n second_o as_o the_o word_n must_v be_v preach_v so_o likewise_o confession_n of_o faith_n ought_v to_o make_v general_o here_o among_o we_o we_o make_v confession_n of_o our_o faith_n by_o the_o tender_v of_o our_o body_n but_o indeed_o the_o confession_n of_o our_o faith_n ought_v to_o be_v publish_v before_o the_o receive_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n this_o be_v a_o right_n show_v forth_o of_o the_o lord_n death_n mark_v it_o the_o apostle_n say_v you_o show_v forth_o the_o lord_n death_n he_o speak_v not_o to_o the_o minister_n only_o but_o to_o the_o people_n you_o show_v forth_o therefore_o they_o shall_v make_v some_o public_a confession_n that_o they_o believe_v in_o christ_n jesus_n and_o this_o be_v a_o matter_n that_o tend_v much_o to_o the_o set_v forth_o of_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n three_o prayer_n be_v to_o be_v make_v for_o therein_o likewise_o we_o show_v the_o death_n of_o jesus_n christ_n first_o there_o must_v be_v confession_n of_o our_o sin_n and_o we_o must_v search_v into_o our_o heart_n and_o life_n narrow_o and_o thorough_o and_o the_o more_o we_o search_v into_o they_o the_o more_o clear_o we_o shall_v see_v christ_n his_o death_n together_o with_o confession_n of_o sin_n we_o must_v use_v supplication_n and_o petition_n call_v earnest_o upon_o god_n for_o christ_n his_o sake_n which_o thus_o be_v crucify_v for_o we_o that_o he_o will_v forgive_v we_o our_o their_o course_n the_o reason_n why_o we_o must_v do_v thus_o there_o be_v many_o reason_n the_o first_o reason_n be_v this_o because_o the_o practice_n of_o these_o duty_n be_v the_o grace_n of_o our_o profession_n the_o grace_n of_o all_o moral_a virtue_n consist_v in_o the_o action_n of_o virtue_n and_o the_o grace_n of_o every_o trade_n consist_v not_o so_o much_o in_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o trade_n as_o in_o the_o well_o manage_v of_o that_o trade_n our_o christian_a profession_n be_v a_o virtue_n and_o a_o trade_n a_o spiritual_a virtue_n and_o a_o heavenly_a trade_n therefore_o the_o grace_n of_o it_o stand_v in_o our_o well_o manage_v of_o it_o by_o the_o practice_n of_o all_o religious_a duty_n godly_a carriage_n in_o servant_n the_o mean_a that_o profess_v take_v this_o holy_a profession_n upon_o we_o it_o grace_v we_o and_o when_o we_o prastice_v hereby_o answerable_a to_o this_o holy_a profession_n we_o grace_v it_o therefore_o this_o we_o must_v do_v second_o this_o be_v the_o life_n of_o our_o faith_n it_o can_v live_v no_o long_o than_o it_o be_v exercise_v in_o good_a duty_n as_o rachel_n gen._n 39.1_o say_v to_o jacob_n give_v i_o child_n or_o to_o declare_v my_o ordinance_n that_o thou_o shall_v take_v my_o covenant_n in_o thy_o mouth_n lay_v this_o to_o heart_n and_o see_v if_o god_n say_v not_o thus_o to_o every_o one_o of_o we_o here_o all_o or_o else_o if_o they_o do_v they_o yet_o they_o do_v not_o make_v conscience_n of_o they_o but_o they_o do_v they_o overly_o and_o for_o fashion_n at_o least_o they_o do_v not_o make_v it_o their_o daily_a and_o continual_a practice_n but_o only_o now_o and_o then_o when_o they_o listen_v themselves_o who_o be_v zealous_a for_o the_o lord_n
