and_o power_n of_o their_o freewill_n 1._o in_o that_o they_o imagine_v that_o in_o man_n by_o the_o force_n and_o power_n of_o his_o nature_n there_o be_v some_o preparative_n and_o disposition_n to_o receive_v this_o grace_n and_o consequent_o that_o there_o be_v in_o he_o certain_a merit_n of_o congruity_n so_o that_o with_o they_o the_o cause_n why_o god_n offer_v and_o present_v his_o grace_n to_o one_o and_o not_o to_o another_o be_v because_o the_o one_o be_v well_o prepare_v of_o himself_o you_o must_v understand_v and_o not_o by_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n see_v he_o prepare_v and_o dispose_v himself_o for_o to_o receive_v it_o and_o the_o other_o be_v not_o as_o if_o man_n be_v so_o miserable_o corrupt_v as_o he_o be_v can_v of_o himself_o do_v any_o thing_n that_o may_v deserve_v grace_n de_fw-fr congruo_fw-la as_o they_o speak_v that_o be_v may_v bind_v god_n by_o way_n of_o honesty_n and_o conveniency_n to_o bestow_v upon_o he_o his_o grace_n 2._o in_o that_o they_o make_v this_o grace_n to_o be_v such_o as_o that_o all_o the_o virtue_n and_o efficacy_n thereof_o depend_v whole_o upon_o the_o liberty_n of_o man_n which_o in_o effect_n be_v to_o make_v this_o grace_n idle_a and_o unprofitable_a for_o how_o can_v any_o man_n call_v that_o medicine_n sufficient_a and_o effectual_a for_o the_o heal_n of_o a_o malady_n which_o can_v do_v no_o good_a without_o one_o certain_a ingredient_n now_o do_v they_o make_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n like_v to_o this_o medicine_n it_o can_v do_v nothing_o as_o they_o say_v nor_o work_n in_o we_o without_o the_o force_n and_o virtue_n of_o our_o freewill_n which_o be_v the_o chief_a ingredient_n according_a to_o they_o which_o give_v force_n and_o efficacy_n to_o this_o spiritual_a medicine_n be_v this_o to_o recommend_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n unto_o we_o or_o to_o exalt_v it_o and_o be_v it_o not_o rather_o to_o exalt_v man_n and_o his_o ability_n be_v not_o this_o to_o take_v from_o god_n for_o to_o give_v to_o man_n to_o rob_v the_o creator_n for_o to_o cover_v deck_n and_o enrich_v the_o creature_n thus_o you_o see_v that_o those_o of_o your_o church_n especial_o your_o doctor_n directour_n and_o prelate_n like_v to_o child_n of_o a_o perverse_a neglectful_a and_o ungrateful_a nature_n with_o a_o presumption_n that_o shut_v to_o their_o heart_n and_o puff_v up_o their_o spirit_n they_o hate_v nothing_o so_o much_o as_o to_o acknowledge_v avouch_v and_o confess_v their_o fault_n pass_v condemnation_n upon_o it_o cry_v for_o mercy_n ask_v pardon_n and_o acknowledge_v that_o all_o their_o good_a and_o eternal_a happiness_n consist_v in_o the_o goodness_n mercy_n grace_n and_o mere_o free_a pardon_n of_o god_n but_o do_v extenuate_v as_o much_o as_o they_o can_v their_o fault_n and_o offence_n do_v pluck_v down_o grace_n and_o abolish_v as_o much_o as_o in_o they_o lie_v all_o pardon_n that_o so_o they_o may_v not_o seem_v to_o be_v behold_v to_o god_n they_o do_v preach_v and_o extol_v the_o greatness_n of_o their_o merit_n by_o the_o which_o they_o pretend_v to_o make_v god_n
