suffering_n the_o other_o the_o effect_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n which_o be_v shed_v on_o we_o nor_o be_v it_o necessary_a that_o what_o the_o apostle_n add_v of_o our_o be_v justify_v by_o his_o grace_n shall_v be_v understand_v of_o the_o grace_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n shed_v on_o we_o for_o the_o renew_n of_o our_o mind_n but_o rather_o of_o that_o kindness_n and_o love_n of_o our_o saviour_n to_o save_v we_o and_o of_o that_o mercy_n according_a to_o which_o he_o save_v we_o without_o the_o work_n of_o our_o own_o righteousness_n we_o believe_v indeed_o our_o sin_n not_o only_o to_o be_v cover_v but_o also_o entire_o wash_v away_o by_o the_o blood_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o the_o grace_n of_o regeneration_n but_o we_o do_v not_o think_v fit_a to_o confound_v justification_n which_o signify_v the_o remission_n of_o sin_n and_o renovation_n which_o destroy_v sin_n within_o we_o one_o with_o another_o nor_o to_o think_v the_o latter_a which_o be_v effect_v but_o in_o part_n in_o this_o life_n to_o be_v meritorious_a of_o the_o former_a and_o shall_v think_v we_o do_v too_o much_o lessen_v the_o merit_n of_o his_o blood_n if_o by_o allow_v the_o effect_n of_o it_o to_o what_o it_o ought_v to_o be_v allow_v the_o work_a sanctification_n in_o we_o we_o shall_v not_o consider_v it_o also_o to_o that_o other_o effect_n of_o whole_o merit_v for_o we_o the_o pardon_n of_o our_o sin_n whereas_o he_o argue_v at_o last_o that_o the_o righteousness_n which_o be_v in_o we_o be_v true_o such_o and_o that_o even_o before_o god_n have_v not_o i_o reason_n to_o say_v as_o before_o that_o their_o make_a justification_n to_o consist_v in_o the_o infusion_n of_o righteousness_n give_v too_o great_a appearance_n for_o man_n to_o think_v they_o claim_v remission_n of_o sin_n as_o due_a in_o some_o measure_n to_o their_o own_o righteousness_n when_o m._n condom_n can_v thus_o plead_v for_o the_o truth_n and_o reality_n of_o it_o and_o for_o its_o be_v a_o righteousness_n and_o that_o before_o god_n but_o to_o give_v he_o a_o answer_n it_o be_v not_o by_o we_o deny_v to_o be_v a_o righteousness_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n any_o further_a than_o to_o this_o effect_n that_o it_o be_v not_o a_o righteousness_n that_o render_v we_o void_a of_o sin_n nor_o that_o can_v in_o the_o least_o merit_n for_o we_o the_o remission_n of_o sin_n nor_o that_o can_v abide_v if_o he_o shall_v try_v it_o with_o rigour_n or_o be_v extreme_a to_o mark_v what_o be_v amiss_o therein_o when_o he_o come_v at_o last_o to_o acknowledge_v it_o too_o true_a that_o the_o flesh_n rebel_v against_o the_o spirit_n and_o that_o in_o many_o thing_n we_o offend_v all_o so_o that_o though_o our_o justice_n be_v true_o such_o yet_o it_o be_v not_o perfect_a justice_n because_o of_o the_o combat_n of_o concupiscence_n so_o that_o we_o be_v oblige_v to_o confess_v with_o st._n augustin_n that_o our_o justice_n in_o this_o life_n consist_v rather_o in_o the_o remission_n of_o sin_n than_o in_o the_o perfection_n of_o virtue_n though_o i_o can_v wish_v he_o have_v express_v himself_o in_o all_o the_o word_n of_o st._n augustin_n in_o that_o place_n that_o our_o righteousness_n though_o true_o such_o in_o the_o end_n it_o aim_v at_o and_o be_v refer_v unto_o true_a goodness_n yet_o be_v such_o in_o this_o life_n that_o it_o consist_v rather_o in_o the_o remission_n of_o sin_n than_o in_o the_o perfection_n of_o virtue_n for_o hereby_o every_o work_n though_o good_a as_o aim_v at_o a_o good_a end_n be_v acknowledge_v work_n it_o be_v true_a as_o he_o say_v their_o church_n teach_v that_o eternal_a life_n ought_v to_o be_v propose_v both_o as_o a_o grace_n which_o be_v merciful_o promise_v through_o christ_n and_o as_o a_o recompense_n which_o be_v faithful_o render_v to_o our_o good_a work_n and_o merit_n in_o virtue_n of_o this_o promise_n but_o whereas_o he_o add_v that_o least_o humane_a pride_n shall_v reason_n that_o will_v exempt_v she_o from_o the_o charge_n will_v bring_v we_o deep_o under_o it_o if_o acknowledge_v of_o such_o consequence_n we_o shall_v embrace_v the_o doctrine_n whence_o they_o flow_v and_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n be_v therefore_o utter_o inexcusable_a in_o enjoin_v such_o thing_n on_o those_o who_o profess_v they_o see_v such_o consequence_n in_o they_o as_o destroy_v
